Great location! It’s not on the river walk but it’s half a block to walk there. Near good restaurants. Park at the city parking lot on College st. It’s safe and only $10 per day. Hotel has a retro, vintage vibe but with modern amenities. Room has a full kitchen so that was nice.

It was so appreciated that I received a text from them as my point of contact. We were arriving 1a.m. We kept in contact till then. From the moment we came down for breakfast the day and night hostesses were amazing ! Mari and Delia we appreciate you. Always so friendly, and making us feel at home when you would see us coming and going. Thank you for help when we checked out to avoid lugging our luggage around. Cesar thank you for fixing our wifi in a timely manner and speaking with us for a while about the area , you were very professional. Food- everything you could think of! And all so close Riverwalk - literally take a left out the door and it was 2 minutes away. Alamo - maybe about a 5 minute walk. Walgreens and CVS within walking distance as well. Locals told us we were in a great area of downtown San Antonio. We went for the Dia de los Muertos fiesta and San Antonio did not disappoint. La Villita was a 10-15 minute walk. Which was fine for us, allowed to finding more things like wWhaburger 😊. James thank you for helping direct our Uber to a safe area to stop and loaded our luggage for us. Your team for the Maverick Mari, Delia, Cesar and James are top notch and deserve props!! ( I sure hope I got everyone's name right)

Nothing about the Maverick everyone was amazing from front to floor staff Dont ask the people on the corner selling tours for directions , they will give you directions that are completely off.

We loved the blend of unique antique features of the original building with the distinct modern upgrades that made the space feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect being very close to amazing restaurants along the Riverwalk and historical sights like the Alamo. The in-room amenities were stellar and exceptional. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and easily put us into a deep sleep (despite the noise). The kitchenette was a life saver and the oven allowed us the option of getting an oven pizza to avoid high food prices for a couple of meals. I can’t wait to come here again. It was SO worth it since getting around downtown San Antonio is difficult with few affordable places to park. I HIGHLY recommend this option for couples, expecting mothers (like myself), small families, and those with disabilities who need a break in the day away from the heat but still want to enjoy the beauty of downtown all day. It is at a convenient location less than 100ft to the nearest river walk entrance and has amazing breakfast options less than a block away. Very sweet staff.

Since it was downtown we did experience the noise of being in the district. Although we expected and ultimately enjoyed the celebrations and music continuing into the late evening hours for the new year, the garbage trucks at night were disturbing and the old window in the bedroom rattled when it was windy in the early morning. The room 702 might benefit from a double layer of sound proof glass or a thick curtain curbing the sound.

Apartments were beautiful! Kitchen was great! Location could not be better!! Literally steps away from Riverwalk access.

Parking!! Charge 42 a day for valet parking. It took us 1.25 hours to get our car at 5am on day of departure. Had talked to valet at hotel & at Hilton Garden Inn day prior to be sure valet was available at 5am. Assured us no problem! Front desk staff at Hilton outright LIED to us. Said valet was in his way, was parking other cars. When valet FINALLY showed at 6:10, he said he had JUST GOTTEN CALL & had not parked any other cars prior. RIDICULOUS system! Keys were not where we had been told they’d be( Hilton Garden) They were in locked valet box at the Maverick. Valet didn’t have key to get in box. Poor kid had to run back to Hilton, find key, run back, get our key, then go retrieve car. It was 1.5 hours total!! They should have refunded us at least one day parking for the debacle!!

We couldn’t have picked a better location. The riverwalk is literally just a few steps from the hotel. All the other attractions we wanted to see were also very close (the Alamo, The Tower, etc.) We didn’t get a “check in text” with our room number and password by check in time but the people at the front desk got us taken care of immediately. We did get a phone call from Maverick just after check in (LOL). The front desk hostess named Daly and the twin girls working the morning we left were very nice! We parked in the city garage a block away after unloading at the curb (111 College) and it was indeed $10 per day as other reviewers noted. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed – even if we had been there more than 2 nights. We had a blast and we would definitely stay there again!

I loved the apartment style layout. It is nice to have a near full-size kitchen. The only thing missing was a dishwasher. The location was fantastic and I would book again.

No dishwasher so all glasses used had to be hand washed and they did not provide kitchen towels to do so. The shower is extremely small - it seemed to be original so I understand the reason, it could be a problem for people. The windows were extremely dirty. If you are sensitive to noise you might want to look elsewhere - you hear garbage trucks emptying dumpsters very early each morning. To me, that is part of downtown city life.

We were upgraded to a huge 1 bed self contained apartment & we were greeted by the most happy, friendly & helpful staff at the front desk. Absolutely nothing was a problem for them. The bed is comfortable, the shower is great, the kitchen has everything required for cooking meals. The river walk & restaurants are 100ft from the front door. The self parking, for $10 p/24hrs, is 900ft from the hotel. Alamo is a short walk. Efficient air-conditioner & ceiling fans. This is an old building decked out with modern furnishings and is fantastic value for money. It was an excellent find.

I booked a single bedroom but it was on the 9th floor, my friend is deathly afraid of elevators and walking up 9 flights almost killed her. Jasmine was so compassionate and not only did she put us on the 3rd floor but upgraded our room. The breakfast was a card that you presented at another location just a few ft. From the hotel. A cute little taco shop and the taco was 10/10. Overall my stay here was exceptional and the service and staff were amazing. The dog treats in the foyer, the aesthetics were a trip to London staying in a flat. It was literally an apartment. I’d recommend this hotel to everyone visiting San Antonio. Ohhh and it’s a few feet from the Riverwalk everything you needed was walking distance🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

It was right near the Riverwalk. Not on the Riverwalk exactly but across the street. Didn’t have to use our car to enjoy our night out on the Riverwalk. The price for one night was amazing compared to the hotels ON the actual Riverwalk & you got an actual mini apartment / studio. It was nicely furnished, even with cups and cooking utensils. It smelled clean and not of just cleaning chemicals. You are not bothered at all. You hardly run into other guests. It’s completely peaceful. It has contactless check in where all you do is check in online and it will send you all the information you need to access the building, elevator and room.

I would not opt to pay the 42.00 for Valet. It is convenient when checking in and handing your car and keys off to someone since you won’t need your car if plans are right on the Riverwalk and it’s within walking distance. It’s when you’re checking out and requesting your car or just needing your car in general. It took about 20-30 mins to get our car and once our car was brought up the valet immediately locked it and ran off to grab another car WITH OUR KEYS which added more time for us to stand with all of our luggage to get into our car.

Great location with easy accessibility. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with excellent facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the nearby self-parking was affordable and convenient.

The noise from the street was quite noticeable in the room. It wasn’t terrible, but it’s something to keep in mind. On the positive side, they thoughtfully provided earplugs for each guest.
