Great location- needs some fresh paint and updated carpets- when you walked into the building (the first one) to get to the room, the carpet was so stained it was a turn off. The room was clean but some floor spots on the tile really needed a scrub. It would also be helpful if there was some blinds that let light into the room in addition to the curtains- we were on the first floor and when the curtains were up to let in light, everyone could see in. The fact that we had to take the trash out our selves and call for clean towels (they brought them to the room when we were out but they left the dirty towels in the room) were both very minor inconveniences. These were all minor issues and would definitely not keep us from staying here again. We have stayed at Patriots Inn several times and have definitely recommended to others.

Complete apt with all the necessary items. Our unite had two bedrooms, two (!) full baths, a nice little kitchen with a dishwasher. A living room with couch and good TV in every room. Very convenient location for shopping the outlets and touring W&M. Lovely staff (Hi Hope!). Comfortable beds. Good TVs. Working AC. Ample parking. We could live here for weeks!

Limited check-in times are a little inconvenient. Our ground floor unit lacked sheer curtains for privacy and light. The roman shades were blackout curtains. Great for sleeping, not so useful during the daytime. AC worked well, but one was made off noises, was rather loud and required adjusting in the middle of the night (too cold). Both(!) showers were big. Water pressure was lacking a little and the shortest ones among us prefer hotter water. What we disliked most was the silliness of having to take out the garbage in terribly flimsy thin film bags prior to departure, to a bin that nobody under 6ft tall can reach, as evidenced by the mess surrounding the big bin. I'm really reaching for negatives here. The stay was lovely. These were minor issues.

I like the location. It's around different hubs to eat and enjoy entertainment. The check in was easy and the person at the front desk was nice. If you need anything, the front desk workers were kind enough to oblige. The outdoor pool and hot tub was nice and clean. The landscape around it was nice to look at. The family suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a pullout sofa bed, great for families. The kitchen has everything you probably need for cooking and keeping food fresh. Everything was very clean and in working order!!

I didn't care for the low toilets at all. It's bad on the knees but good for toddlers and young kids. I wish there were more washers and dryers available. There was a line of folks waiting to use one washer and dryer on our floor. I wouldn't call this a resort at all. The hot tub stayed hot, but the jets were not working. There were no exhaust fans in any of the bathrooms. The mattresses could use an update in the bedrooms because they are a bit squeaky.

There are some food places in walking distance and after a long drive to the hotel it was nice to have some walkability. The pool was definitely a highlight for my family. We found the location to be very convenient for Busch Gardens, the beach, and historical Williamsburg.

There were some little things with the room - the main thing is that the door to one of the bedrooms had some damage. I don't mind these things at all, the only thing when I see them is that it makes me nervous that the facility is not already aware of the condition of the suite and is going to charge us for damage that other guests have previously caused.

I was charged a $20.00 "resort fee" upon arrival. I hope it was a one time charge, since in November, this isn't a very resorty place. I do not see this fee being mentioned anywhere in the booking process. Also, as others have mentioned, the staff doesn't go out of their way to tell you what's available for public use, which would be nice since they are upcharging you for it.

I stayed for one day even though it was supposed to be a two day stay, but my limited time there was fine. Room was spacious and enjoyed the amenities like the stress relief brand, love the smell. The receptionist Hope was very helpful and friendly. I hope they consider upgrading rooms for future customers who like fresher and modern feel, I didn’t mind the decor, it was comfy, quiet despite busy main street and good location.

Patriots Inn is primarily a timeshare property so all the units are mini apartments. They rented to us on a nightly basis. We were attending a family memorial service in Williamsburg so the two bedroom unit with a sofa sleeper in the living room worked out perfectly for my wife, myself and our two adult children. A few restaurants and a local grocery store are within easy walking distance.

I tend to choose locations based on reviews that cite high levels of cleanliness. This location exceeded the expecations. Even the potted plants had been dusted. The room really was spotless. I was pleasantly suprised at the room setup. While I was only there for a weekend work event, this would be a great spot for young families who need an extra bathroom and want to prepare some food during a stay. Full stock of dishware, flatware, and pots and pans. Cleaning supplies provided for kitchen. I was expecting the decor to be more dated than it actually was, but it was just fine for this location and price point. Elevator worked and was always at the ready. Plenty of available parking. VERY centrally located if you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg or any of the other attractions in the area. Close to an Aldi if you need supplies, and a breakfast place right next door.

Resort fee is nonsensical. The fitness center is 4 older machines, not even a treadmill, in a small room. There were no weights, no balance balls or even other small items typical of fitness centers. The TV in the room was not programmed, the water cooler was empty, and the disinfectant wipes so old they had dried out. Pool was closed for the season. While this isn't an exorbitant resort fee, the fitness center was certainly not a value-add. As others have noted, the bed was not comfortable for me--it is very firm and apparently the mattress cover is plastic as it made crunching noises each time I moved. My husband found it ok though, so to each his own. If you like very firm mattresses, you should be fine.

great and convenient location in Williamsburg. Good size unit and clean upon arrival. even though my unit faced the parking lot side at ground level, the unit must have been well insulated cuz I didn’t hear noise from outside. liked the tv and strong Wi-Fi plus little electric fireplace made it feel cozy

the lighting in unit could be a bit brighter. and unfortunately the pool was not open on Memorial Day as planned cuz it was deemed too cold. but it would have been nice if the area to it was open so we could sit outside still (even if the pool itself was not open for swimming)

Our stay at The Patriots Inn was excellent! The room was comfortable, super clean, spacious, quiet, and fully stock with everything you would need or want. The Inn's location is convenient to the restored area, the outlet mall, restaurants, and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay at The Patriots Inn every time we visit Williamsburg.
