Location was excellent. Just down the main road about 1 mile from Colonial Williamsburg and Merchant Square. Easy to drive, take the bus, or walk - we did all 3. Grounds are large but well-maintained with lots of magnolia trees. If you are staying far from the lobby, it can be a little bit of a walk. Mini-golf, pool, hot tub, large chess, and a daily activity take place, including waffles one day. Rooms are nice and large. Dunkin Donuts right across the street too.

Gotta close the doors to your room quickly to avoid small mosquitoes - this is not the hotel's fault, just a courtesy warning.

It was perfect for our needs. We were visiting William & Mary. Clean, spacious, nice bathroom and shower. It was so hot out that even the cold pool was warm, but I still appreciated the swim. I was glad that we were in the back section; it was much calmer and quieter than the busier hotel-style rooms near the registration, lobby, and pool/hot tub area. The computer and printer in the lobby were so useful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very easy driving access to the College and Colonial Williamsburg.

It is so family friendly. I loved that there were different options to do from the golf course to the beach volleyball court to the pools to the game room. Your kids will LOVE this place. I know ours did. It was such a blast! As an added bonus to it is so close to many different options for food some of them in walking distance what a win ! Also, if you wanted to bring your own food THEY HAVE A GRILLING AREA!! The room was nice as well but we were really impressed by all the amenities. Definitely worth every penny for this place.

We loved everything. There really isn’t anything to dislike. We will be staying here again for sure!

My son and I were passing through as we were headed home. We've stayed in Williamsburg before and enjoyed it. So we picked it as our stopping point. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was exceptional considering it was the "old style" hotel room with an exterior door to the outside (not an indoor corridor). With that said, being able to park the car right outside the room was a plus for unloading and loading our luggage. From the pictures of the room, I assumed it was queen beds, it turns out, they were kings... the room is huge! The beds were so comfortable. We both slept so well. The location is very ideal for all the things you come to Williamsburg to see. We were nearly a walk away from one of our favorite restaurants (Plaza Azteca).

This really isn't a "didn't like" detail - the resort might have once been 2 different properties, so with that, there's a couple of buildings you weave around to get to the buildings where are room was that are not part of the property. It would be cool if the resort would be able to acquire those buildings and add them to the amenities (i.e., on-premises restaurants). One looked vacant.

Driving over to my unit, which seemed not like what the photos I'd seen had advertised (e.g. apartments looking over a swimming pool), I became wary. I arrived at a motel-like space as opposed to hotel. However, as soon as I stepped into my room, I was won over. It was a gorgeously decorated spacious room, with the requisite Colonialistic artwork you'd expect from Colonial Williamsburg, plus mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I was instantly immersed in comfort.

<-- any frowny face is just too much; I loved my visit. Just, I was gone all day after I checked in, and would have thought the room would have been attended to while I was gone (e.g a coffee refresher), but upon returning in the evening I found everything the same. However, I'm certain I could have directly asked for more coffee and gotten it anyway. :-D Everyone working at Westgate was responsive to my expressed needs. That's all any staff can do, so that's all that matters. I'll book with Westgate again. Thanks, gang! B-)

The location, though with in walking distance of a main road and shops gave the feeling of being in a very quiet setting. The quaint small individual buildings and rooms was delightful. The staff were very helpful and the bed was great too! The staff were very helpful and the bed was great too! Like having the fridge and microwave too. The room was small but perfect for one or two. I recommend the cottages.

The bathroom is very nice but the mirror is too high for a shorty like me! Heating/ cooling unit was a bit odd to work.

The Colonial King room was quaint and comfortable. The staff were extremely nice and friendly. Tony B at guest services was very kind and professional. Our first experience with checking in where the employee seemed genuinely happy to help. The amenities were very nice with a heated pool, hot tub, mini golf and more. The stay was thorough enjoyed and will be a repeat stay in the event Williamsburg is on the vacation list.

The location was great. Close to many restaurants and colonial Wiliamsburg. It was also very quiet and had a good working TV.

The pillows were a bit thick for me. Would have like to have been told about the location of the ice machine on check in.

Single-entry access was nice! The resort is unique and has great amenities. The staff were wonderful.

The rooms could use a 2025 touch up - very few outlets, the tv didn’t allow you to connect to anything without a fee (including YouTube or Netflix apps, or even just screen casting from your own device). The shower was nice, but the door does not latch closed and leaks all over the bathroom floor.
