Well maintained, functional & clean hotel. Staff cheerful, efficient and caring. Special mention, Anna, Ruby and Jessica always smiling and attentive. Breakfast is balanced and nutritious. Credit goes to food planning in the kitchen and the lady supervisor who plates the dishes on guests choice.

Excellent hotel in the Hanoi Old Town, set off from the main road so it was very quiet. Staff were all very helpful and attentive. We had a big, spacious family room that was spotlessly clean. Lots of breakfast options served by Daisy, a very friendly woman who will ensure you don’t leave hungry. We left our luggage here while we did an overnight trip to Halong Bay.

I would like to start by saying that I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I'm in Vietnam! This was the best service I have ever had in my life (and I have already traveled to 30+ countries). The staff was so sweet, kind, and helpful and genuine! Especially the young blond guy at the front desk and the guy in the restaurant (sorry, I forgot your names!). Jessica was also super helpful and competent, especially when it came to the tours. You were always offered tea and there was always someone at the front desk. They were super happy to chat with you and recommend places to eat. For me, a female traveling alone and in Vietnam for the first time, it was so nice to feel not lonely and also cared for. The hotel: The location is in a quiet street right in the old quarter close to everything (I was just walking around everywhere since everything was within a 30min walk). The hotel is simple but clean and comfy and so are the rooms. There is free water in the room every day and it's always super clean. The size of the room was enough for me, traveling alone and I think it would def be also ok for a couple. The tours offered in the hotel are very well organized and the price is within the average/normal price compared to everywhere else. The guides were also super fun and friendly. They let me keep my luggage in the hotel for the days I was on a tour or after check out with no issue and I also could shower before my night flight as well.

Breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect, quiet spot but very close to all the action of Hoan Kiem. The staff was also extremely helpful - they had suggestions for restaurants, tours, and sites at the ready but weren't pushy with it. The staff is definitely the biggest strength of the hotel.

Room was okay, didn't blow me away so that's why I didn't score it perfectly. To be honest was a little surprised after arriving that it had been so highly rated on booking.com. When I went to check out they gave me a questionnaire and then asked me to not fill out any online reviews when they saw I only gave a score of 8, specifically because "they work hard to keep their ratings high". I believe they do, but just be aware that the score you see on booking.com is probably inflated.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay! We had an incredible experience staying at this hotel in Vietnam. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — their attention, kindness, and willingness to help with anything we needed truly made a difference. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very comfortable, creating a relaxing atmosphere after long days of exploring. Everything was well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vietnam. The service, cleanliness, and comfort were outstanding. This is your typical 7 or 8 story Vietnamese hotel with 2 or 3 rooms per floor, in an excellent location in the old quarter with many restaurants and eateries nearby. The staff. Jessica, Anna, Bezo , the other boys names i can't remember were outstanding and with Daisy providing exceptional service in the breakfast buffet, ( reasonable variances considering size of hotel and including eggs, pancakes etc cooked to order, thanks cooks) They even provided take away breakfasts when we went on early morning tours. They also followed up very promptly with an issue we had on one tour with great resolution. There was no noise issues and lots of spas and massage places nearby. We will certainly book here next time we are in Hanoi.

The only thing which concerned us was that the bed in our room could only be entered from one side, which could cause issues for some people, but it was only a minor inconvenience as the bed was very comfortable.

Very central location, yet quiet enough for a good nights sleep. Early checkin was not possible, but they even let us take a shower in the staff room, we were able to store our bags etc. We even got upgraded to a huge family room. Room was clean, the bathroom smelled like mould but we’ve had that in every hotel in Vietnam due to the humidity.

All the communal areas like hallways, elevator, breakfast area have a certain smell to it (kind of like urine). We have read this in another review and though it was nonsense, but they are trying to influence your review von booking.com. On the day of our checkout we were asked for a feedback on paper. We mentioned the aspects above and gave them a ranking of 8 points. Later we were asked by the staff to still give them 10 points on booking. We know competition is big in Hanoi, but this is a no go and we always rely on reviews, so we want ours to be trustworthy, too.

We booked our room at the Eliana Ruby Hotel & Travel at the very last minute when our AirBnB fell through. From the minute we walked in, Anna and Jessica went out of their way to welcome us and to ensure that our stay exceeded our expectations. They provided detailed recommendations for specific types of Vietnamese food, for the locations of ATMs and other services and for excellent restaurants. Jessica helped us with questions we had about visiting certain locations in Hanoi, while Anna was so wonderful in providing us with everything we needed - even delivering tea to my husband when he became ill while we were there. Laundry services were fast and efficient, and the breakfast buffet was amazing - we had pho, eggs and the most amazing fruit pancakes (pineapple on one day, mango on another), all served by two gracious and friendly staff members. And the location? Perfect: we were surrounded by fantastic restaurants and little pubs, and in the morning, the small street immediately outside of the hotel became a street market with the freshest fruits, vegetables and meat. This was a wonderful stay; thank you so much to Anna, Jessica and everyone at Eliana Ruby!
