It was in a good location in the staff was excellent and took good care of me. Also, all the staff spoke good English, which made it easier for communication because I do not know how to speak Vietnamese.

The room was small, but that was my own fault. It indicated the size in the booking ad. I just blew by it, but I was there for three weeks and I made out just fine.

The place is located in a small alley downtown, accessible to all the shops and restaurants in old quarter. The hotel staff were super friendly, especially the two young ladies (unfortunately I did not note down their names). They were very kind and helpful with everything. My room was small but has all the essentials. The design is basic and good. Quite a decent deal as a whole package! Overall, it was a positive experience. Thank you!

The location for the hotel was perfect and it was great value for money. The girls at the reception were so helpful and they helped us to organise lots of trips plus washing!

We went for the cheapest room which was a little bit noisy but still really good value for money and the bed was super comfy!

Amazing staff, Lisa & Co were able to help me out with everything from getting a local SIM card to booking tours, and they were always available on WhatsApp for whatever questions or inquiries I may have. The overall value for money was outstanding and I will stay there again!

I had a lovely time at Ancient lane after 4 nights. The staffs was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and it’s central location right in the centre of old quarter. Highly recommended ☺️😊

The staff Gemma & Jessie are pure gems. Arranging our tours & ensuring we get all the messages in time. Housekeeping was daily. There was always 2 bottles of water and fresh towel. Nice comfortable bed & clean room to come back to. Has a bit of stained towel incident but was resolved quickly, the staff had the towels washed twice which removed the stain. I appreciated that they informed me of the stained towel right away. Also washed the towel to ensure stain was gone b4 attempting to simply charge a fee. Great location close to almost all Michelin guided restaurants. Food & shopping was never a problem. Far enough from the honking & beer street. So it was a quiet neighborhood but that is what we enjoyed. Highly recommend

I love the personell, always ready for a short chat or a nice word. and quite well connected to all kinds of people, for example lisa knew who to call when my phone broke and it was fixed within 2 hours. They are also nice people in general. the room was very clean the location itself is great withing walking distance of old quarter but not near enough to be bothered by noise. same withthe traffic, since cars cant drive in there, you wont hear traffic noises.

the morning market will wake you up depending on which room you sleep in. so be aware of that if you are sensitive to noise.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and nice room, amazing location. They even organise tours, we went to Ninh Binh and it was really nice! Also, they have laundry service and they would give you back the clothes the same day! Nice service! At the beginning we booked for 4 nights and once back from Halong bay we were supposed to go to another hotel. But since this is so nice we cancelled the other one and came back here!

Just the bed is a bit hard, but I can see it’s a bit everywhere here in Vietnam.

The hotel is conveniently near Ho Guom Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and many street food restaurants. I had a diverse array of dining options while staying there. My superior room is small, but it's still quite convenient and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I noticed the old well by the hotel entrance, and I hoped they would decorate it with lanterns to make it special and unique, just like the online pictures. Every morning, the charming bird songs from the neighborhood added a delightful touch to the experience.

Finding the hotel can be challenging using the provided address, as it is tucked away deep within an alley off the main street, which is a one-way road. To make it easier, I would suggest informing the taxi driver to head towards 16 Hang Manh, instead of relying on the hotel's exact address. From this point, it's just a short walk to reach the hotel.
