The property was very well located in the Old Quarter. Close to lots of eateries and the main shopping street. There are shops with ceramics, souvenirs and coffee nearby. The room way very elegantly decorated in an Indo-Chinese style. The staff were very courteous and polite and greeted me every time they saw us with a smile. They helped me arrange some day tours and stored my luggage safely after my stay overnight while I went on an out of town trip. Harry was always attentive and helped me with everything I asked for during my stay, with check in and tours and Evan was present at check out and also did they best to make my stay comfortable and pleasant.

It’s in Hanoi Old Quarters. Very convenient for food, shopping, cafes, massages, etc Basically in the centre of everything yet it’s located in a small lane so not noisy at all. We love the theme of the hotel. Deco very tastefully done. We stayed in a suite and it was really comfortable and exclusive. There was a welcome plate of fruits for us upon our check in. The front desk staffs were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast which was buffet style and included with our stay. Overall we had a restful and wonderful 3 nights stay. We will not hesitate to stay here should we visit Hanoi again.

Breakfast was superb and the restaurant staff even made the morning meals superb. Special mention to the girl making good cappuccinos. We also ate lunch there and it’s very good and truly value for money.

We got a Grand Connecting Room - 501 and 502. Room 501 is an excellent room. Perfect. But the bathroom in Room 502 needs an upgrade. The hand shower holder is broken. The TV wasn’t working. I’m sure other rooms are fine.

Based on other hotels in old quarter this Hotel was by far the best in every aspect. Don’t always believe the rating on this site as this Hotel should be higher! I liked it. And for a Yorkshireman is was great value for money too. Finally, try eating at Bun Cha Dak Kim (turn left out of hotel and it’s at the end of the street). They only do 1 dish and boy is it good.

The hotel was amazing. First we were staying in another hotel but we didn’t like it, so when we went back to Hanoi from Da Nang, we chose to stay in this hotel. It is amazing hotel, amazing room and amazing staff. They were all so polite, the upgraded us without requesting it and without extra charge but the thing is that they were very clean. We needed to leave very early the next day so we didn’t have time for breakfast and they prepared for us take away breakfast. Very well decent, and the hotel is spotted in the center of the Old Quarter. Is highly recommended!

There was nothing we didn’t like

My wife and I were fortunate to find the Hong Ngoc Dynastie Boutique Hotel. Huong Tra greeted us with a welcoming smile and was super helpful in checking us in. Our room had a street view, was clean, very comfortable, and quiet. The staff we encountered, from the doormen to the cleaning ladies, and the people working in the breakfast room, were amazing. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Considering its location in the old quarter, the hotel is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hanoi and wanting to stay in the Old Quarter.

An incredible location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Literally steps away from some of the best phó, banh mi and local foods in the city. Also very close to the cathedral. Nice breakfast, helpful staff and some of the friendliest women that keep the rooms tidy and clean.

Everything was great. My only complaint is that some of the staff don’t even acknowledge you when you walk in because they are too busy looking at their phones. Otherwise, a great stay.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were coming back from Ha Long Bay when our flight to HCM was delayed and they allowed us to leave our luggage with them even when we’ve checked-out 2 days before. The location is great, really at the heart of the old center and you can do everything by foot. Price-quality is great for a short stay in Hanoi!

The floor-mat of the shower/bathtub was dirty and the water didn’t run out properly. We’ve also had a double bad with two separate mattresses.

The spaciousness of the room was great, I was also fortunate enough to be given a complimentary upgrade which may have contributed this. The cleanliness also to a good standard and the cleaning staff very attentive. Manager Brian also a highlight and a pleasant hard working hotelier to cross paths with.

A little additional guest request acceptance would have been good, such as asking for a coconut coffee with breakfast yet being told the kitchen doesn’t open until 10am… Asking to settle my additional charges mid stay was also met with hesitance. In summary, a little more out of the box thinking and guest request flexibility would serve well and excel this already beautiful antique hotel.

A smart centrally based hotel with lovely Vietnamese design touches and very comfortable and spacious rooms. Thank you to the hotel team Hannah, Jaybee and Phillip.
