Exceptionally nice stuff, especially Lena who not only welcomed us but was also very helpful in advance of the stay (organizing airport transfer and Halong Bay tour as well as a bus to Ninh Binh) and highly responsive. Location in the middle of the bustling Old Town, with restaurants, shops, and the lake in walking distance. Breakfast was tasty with reasonable number of (Vietnamese and European) options.

We had a room under the roof and it was quite noisy, also at night (waterpipes or air con or pumps? Don't know what exactly caused this noise). It was pretty cold in the room.

The place was clean, affordable and spacious. The location was accessible to lots of places to visit such as the train street, thang long puppet show and hoan kiem lake and the temple there. The people at the homestay are very helpful and accommodating. Lena helped me arrange my tours during my stay, thank you. Thanks to Kien also whom I usually see when I get there at night and in the morning. Lena and Kein can both speak English so it's easy to communicate with them as well.

None at all. I like everything about the place although one will have to go inside the street to locate the area, I'd say it's an advantage since it is not along the street where it is too noisy until early in the morning until 2 am.

Bed was really sturdy good for my back. Bed sheets were cleaned and smelt disinfected. There was an elevator which I did not expect in this bldg but if you choose to take the stairs it can a bit daunting as the staircase was very narrow and if you are a bit oversize, you may find yourself getting wedged! The room is clean and the supply of water was generous. Heater was good as well. There was toiletries such as toothbrush, shampoo and body wash. You may request for a new towel and it wont be an issue. as some of the rooms and the bldg is old, some of the wall fixtures in the toilet is broken, shower head in my kids room looked dodgy. But bfast is reasonable. Thanks to the reception who always smile like Mina and thanh or kinh I think. Lucy was also very approachable.

I dont like the supplied comb, it looked like it was used. The TV on the 4th floor has no remote control and the stairs that is very narrow. Otherwise, it is centrally located and the only downside is the blg is located inside an alleyway which you would not think that a hotel is in existent there. If I will be a back packer I would recommend this hotel but not for a family with small kiddos.

If you are looking for a simple accomodation without pretentious needs as we did this hotel is just perfect. Top position in the hearth of old town, 5 mins walk to train street. The staff is nice and helpful, we got help with the booking of Halong Bay and it was smooth to be picked up at the hotel lobby, and the trip itself was just amazing. A simple breakfast is prepared at the moment upon request. One of the only places in Vietnam where the shower had warm water.

The walls are quite thin so one could hear from other rooms sometimes. Room was a bit tiny.

Greatgreat location. The streets leading to the hotel are a bit scary for a European tourist, but that's just an impression. I spent my vacation here with 2 children and felt safe. I recommend it. the streets around offer local food. different at any time of day. fresh products like fruit for sale on the street. close to busy streets, but far enough inland that you can't hear the street noise at all. quiet, safe, close to many places you can walk. helpful staff. you can ask for laundry or advice on where to find something in the city. they don't impose themselves, they are rather helpful and don't push services.

Small breakfast area. If you are late it can be tight. It is not a big problem. Everything goes smoothly. They do not keep you in line by force, they just ask you to come 5..10 minutes later. It is understandable in such a small hotel.

We received plenty of space for our group of 3. We arrived at around 12:30 pm and our check-in wasn't till 2:00 pm but the owner was kind enough to let us check in early as we were super tired from our journey to Vietnam. The room itself offered strong AC, clean sheets, and a clean bathroom. The staff members are quite nice and the free breakfast is good! I recommend the vegetable pancake.

The stairwell to and from the room can be difficult for some as it's quite narrow. However, they do have an elevator to help with this. Other than that, the place is wonderful for its location and value!

Lucy is an amazing hostess. She really looks after you. She helps so much. She is so kind and friendly. She helped us book tickets and tours. She does nice breakfast and coffee. We arrived late and it was dark. She came to meet us at the taxi to guid us to the guest house. She also brought us water and walk us to a shop. She helped with any questions we had. And came to see us off when leaving. Rooms are basic but you have everything you need and it's enough. Hot running water, clean bedding comfortable bed, kettle. For the price and what you pay to stay here you can't complain. Cheap and cheerful. It's not perfect, but they care.

The bed was amazing and I have a very nice balcony looking out in other buildings. Air con was perfect and staff were excellent. They helped me book my tour to sapa and ha long bay. Breakfast good with eggs and fruit or bread. Location was excellent for the cost. Would stay here again for sure

Lucy was very helpful all the time, starting with sending us directions how to get there (it's in a back of a small street) Breakfast is good and it's served pretty long (7am - 10am) comparing with other places. There is an elevator, AC in the room, towels and toileteries. Bed was very comfy and room very clean. Lucy also organized transport for us to Nanning (China) which was very smooth

Nothing to complain for this price

The lady of the house is a great help and very friendly. The eggs with vegetables are amazing: probably the best we had during our trip. The location is perfect and you’ll got great value for your money. It’s simple but has everything you need. We had a small fridge which we enjoyed. She gave us really reasonable prices for the tours. It saved us time figuring out the best schedule, since she helped planning. So we got to see all we wanted without loosing time waiting or unnecessary extra overnights. We could call or send questions via WhatsApp when needed. Would stay here again.

We had a cold shower but it did woke us up. Room is a little small, but one of the two rooms we had had an extra bed so we could put our backpacks on the spare bed.
