We stayed here as a family for a few nights at the start of our trip and up to 6 nights at the end of our trip. The staff in this hotel were just amazing. Nancy helped us book all of our private transfers to places around Northern Vietnam and communicated regularly with us to make sure everything ran smoothly. The service we had was exceptional. All of the staff working here were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The location was great, right beside Hoan Kiem Lake and in the heart of the Old Quarter. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were a good size. I can see from previous reviews that there have been improvements on some things that were previously complained about. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel to travellers to Ha Noi.

Everything was great!

We stayed in two different rooms. The first was great with a balony and was airy and roomy. The second was small and windowless. I think they should let you know that some rooms do not have windows. Overall when I got over not having a window it was comfortable. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was great. The breakfast was good with a variety that you could always find something suitable to eat. The location was good, so close to the lake and other facilities. The staff were very helpful and were always at hand to help. They arranged cyclo tours for example. I would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay in a great safe location.

I did not like that I was not aware there would not be a window in my room. That was it. Everything else was great.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. But note some comments below about when you come to book. Location, right in the Old Quarter and close to all the sights. The hotel will arrange everything for you. Breakfast was good, with a cook to order option. Omelette is excellent. Rooms are comfortable, with aircon. Bathroom excellent. Cleaned every day. Super rooftop bar. Amazing staff. Very good prices.

Just be careful when booking because some rooms have no windows. It might not bother most people, but I was staying 6 nights. So the hotel went to an enormous effort to move me around to give me a window and, or, balcony at no extra cost. Honestly, the staff at this hotel are bloody brilliant, as is the hotel.

The best hotel I stayed in throughout my 2-week stay travelling south to north. The photos are extremely accurate & the service was 10/10. The hotel staff are lovely & so competent at their jobs. Believe the glowing reviews. My adult daughter & I stayed in a deluxe twin room - the comfiest beds EVER, lovely decor & even thoughtful extras like earplugs! Beautiful bathroom & great shower pressure. Our room overlooked the main entrance & road noise while sleeping wasn't a problem at all (I'm a very light sleeper). Breakfast choices were plentiful - you can choose from the usual pho/fruit/cereal/yoghurt continental buffet style plus order Western cooked breakfast options from a menu. Located within steps of Hoan Kiem lake (right by the Huc Bridge side), there's an unlimited variety of retail shopping & good eating places within a two-minute walk. The hotel organised our transfer back to the airport & it was a total highlight - our driver was the funniest guy & an absolute delight. We absolutely loved this hotel & didn't want to leave! Would definitely stay here again, if we're lucky enough to ever return to Vietnam. Thank you so much!

Building construction next door started around 7:30am, which wasn't a problem for me since I'm an early riser. However, it wouldn't be great if you're trying to sleep off jet lag or a big night! This situation is entirely out of the hotel's control but if you're someone who enjoys a sleep-in, I would recommend checking with reception to find out when the construction end date might be.

The location was fantastic,, like a three minute walk to the lake, and lots of places around for shopping, coffee, and food! The staff were super welcoming and helpful with good recommendations, and were all so nice! Our room was the loveliest, very spacious and clean and comfortable! We liked it so much that we decided to return to Hanoi again and spend our last night here in Vietnam!

The breakfast was the only thing that probably could have been better, there isnt much space for variety. But they are trying their best

The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a convenient and safe location. What really sets it apart from others is the excellent staff. The ladies on reception are clearly in charge, handling all my day to day needs efficiently and always with a smile. It was fun interacting with them. Housekeeping did a great job and the kitchen staff on floor 8 churned out some very good breakfasts during my 10 day stay. I had fun drinking in the Sky Bar too, looking over Hanoi, with a sensibly priced beer in my hand.

I only have two issues: My room had no window. It was in the small print on Booking.com but I missed it. My fault I suppose, and I got used to living like a mole after a while.The reception team were sympathetic but the hotel was fully booked so not much could be done. Secondly, and this is no fault of the hotel, but there is currently construction work being carried out in the building next door. They start early, finish late, and it was very noisy in my room (502). Hopefully a temporary problem but worth asking about.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, including the reception staff, the staff at breakfast and those serving drinks at the Lux Sky Bar. The breakfast was great - a good variety of options - and we enjoyed a drink in the Sky Bar every evening, with a nice view of the lake and city from there. The location is brilliant - a one minute walk and you are at the lake and easy walking distance to other attractions like Train Street and the Puppet Theatre. Even little things like good water pressure in the shower and excellent bathroom facilities. Overall we were 100% satisfied with Hanoi Media and Spa Hotel and we loved our stay in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, such a friendly and vibrant city.

The staff were amazing, even though typhoon Yagi had just desolated the whole city, and there we trees blocking the way, they made everything they could to make our stay comfortable and unforgettable by helping us with our transfer and recommending nice restaurants and attractions. A special thank you to the lady who help us find the transfer bus to Ha Long in the middle of the rain. The location of the hotel is probably the best for seeing around Hanoi's Old Quarter. It was very near to the Water Puppet Theatre, the Sword Turtle Lake, Beer Street, Dong Xuang Market and so many more attractions.

The hotel looks a bit dated and the balcony overlooking an unsightly building site did not add to our experience at all.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. They booked us tickets to the water puppet show, and also accompanied us to buy Hanoi sightseeing bus tickets. They invited my daughter to feed the goldfish, which she enjoyed! The location is great, in the Old Quarter, close to Hoam Kiem Lake, and only a few minutes from the Water Puppet theatre. There is a 24/7 convenience store opposite the hotel, and many shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is up on the 8th floor, with decent options, including omelette, French toast, pancakes, sandwiches and pho which you can order. There is also a buffet with fruit, breads, hams, yoghurt and a few hot local breakfast dishes. A very pleasant stay at Hanoi Media Hotel!

Hanoi Media Hotel and Spa has the most friendliest and accommodating staff😊always happy to assist and will go beyond what they can do to make your stay comfortable from Selena’s team and the spa ladies, we were treated with the best service. also our driver Mr Good was very entertaining and was teaching us some vietnamese language so we won’t get lost.. thank you Mr Good. thank you Selena and her team. ps they even packed us breakfast which we very much appreciated.. not every hotel will do this! overall thumbs up to the Staff of Hanoi Media Hotel and Spa. thank you!

just the Spa area needs furniture updating.. water marks on every chair and wash bowl was really dirty. please update the area
