We stayed here as a family for a few nights at the start of our trip and up to 6 nights at the end of our trip. The staff in this hotel were just amazing. Nancy helped us book all of our private transfers to places around Northern Vietnam and communicated regularly with us to make sure everything ran smoothly. The service we had was exceptional. All of the staff working here were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The location was great, right beside Hoan Kiem Lake and in the heart of the Old Quarter. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were a good size. I can see from previous reviews that there have been improvements on some things that were previously complained about. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel to travellers to Ha Noi.

Everything was great!

This hotel has the best location hands down. It’s right there by Hoan Kiem lake and 5 minutes of walk away from beer/food streets. You can’t ask for a better location than this. Plenty of restaurants nearby. I hate staying at the heart of the food streets because it’s noisy, cramped, and dirty. It’s clean and clear here. My room is really pretty. It’s more spacious than most rooms in the old quarter and has a cute tiny balcony. I’ve stayed at other 9.0+ rated hotels in the old quarter and let me tell you, they are not on the same level. I really love their attention to details; everything feels right, especially the bathroom. A pretty bathroom is important to me. This place must have been recently renovated. You have to see in person. It isn’t just clean, it feels quality, and aesthetically pleasing. The staff are also another highlight. Ms. Thu, the receptionist was very professional and warm. It made me feel relaxed staying there because I could feel she was warm naturally and not just because she was trained to be so (though I’m sure she’s well-trained). Thank you! You know what I mean, right? I’m often irritated when staff (at some other hotels) were so trained that it didn’t feel like normal human interactions anymore and they couldn’t hide their subtle attitude behind their professionalism anyway… I’ll definitely be back staying at this hotel in the future for the unbeatable value: top-tier location + facilities + staff + great price.

We stayed in two different rooms. The first was great with a balony and was airy and roomy. The second was small and windowless. I think they should let you know that some rooms do not have windows. Overall when I got over not having a window it was comfortable. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was great. The breakfast was good with a variety that you could always find something suitable to eat. The location was good, so close to the lake and other facilities. The staff were very helpful and were always at hand to help. They arranged cyclo tours for example. I would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay in a great safe location.

I did not like that I was not aware there would not be a window in my room. That was it. Everything else was great.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. But note some comments below about when you come to book. Location, right in the Old Quarter and close to all the sights. The hotel will arrange everything for you. Breakfast was good, with a cook to order option. Omelette is excellent. Rooms are comfortable, with aircon. Bathroom excellent. Cleaned every day. Super rooftop bar. Amazing staff. Very good prices.

Just be careful when booking because some rooms have no windows. It might not bother most people, but I was staying 6 nights. So the hotel went to an enormous effort to move me around to give me a window and, or, balcony at no extra cost. Honestly, the staff at this hotel are bloody brilliant, as is the hotel.

The best hotel I stayed in throughout my 2-week stay travelling south to north. The photos are extremely accurate & the service was 10/10. The hotel staff are lovely & so competent at their jobs. Believe the glowing reviews. My adult daughter & I stayed in a deluxe twin room - the comfiest beds EVER, lovely decor & even thoughtful extras like earplugs! Beautiful bathroom & great shower pressure. Our room overlooked the main entrance & road noise while sleeping wasn't a problem at all (I'm a very light sleeper). Breakfast choices were plentiful - you can choose from the usual pho/fruit/cereal/yoghurt continental buffet style plus order Western cooked breakfast options from a menu. Located within steps of Hoan Kiem lake (right by the Huc Bridge side), there's an unlimited variety of retail shopping & good eating places within a two-minute walk. The hotel organised our transfer back to the airport & it was a total highlight - our driver was the funniest guy & an absolute delight. We absolutely loved this hotel & didn't want to leave! Would definitely stay here again, if we're lucky enough to ever return to Vietnam. Thank you so much!

Building construction next door started around 7:30am, which wasn't a problem for me since I'm an early riser. However, it wouldn't be great if you're trying to sleep off jet lag or a big night! This situation is entirely out of the hotel's control but if you're someone who enjoys a sleep-in, I would recommend checking with reception to find out when the construction end date might be.

This is perfect location if you want to enjoy your stay in Hanoi (Old Quarter). Very accessible to everything including tourist spots. Good value for money. Staff are exeptional! They are very accommodating, kind, organized and attentive to your needs and schedule. It is amazing that they take note of your activities and asks for your feedback and experience. Staff are also very helful in planning your itineraries , if you don't have one. Veru good communication skills and coordination to tours. Highly recommended Hotel and Staff service. The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a convenient and safe location. What really sets it apart from others is the excellent staff. The ladies on reception are clearly in charge, handling all my day to day needs efficiently and always with a smile. It was fun interacting with them. Housekeeping did a great job and the kitchen staff on floor 8 churned out some very good breakfasts during my 10 day stay. I had fun drinking in the Sky Bar too, looking over Hanoi, with a sensibly priced beer in my hand.

I only have two issues: My room had no window. It was in the small print on Booking.com but I missed it. My fault I suppose, and I got used to living like a mole after a while.The reception team were sympathetic but the hotel was fully booked so not much could be done. Secondly, and this is no fault of the hotel, but there is currently construction work being carried out in the building next door. They start early, finish late, and it was very noisy in my room (502). Hopefully a temporary problem but worth asking about.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, including the reception staff, the staff at breakfast and those serving drinks at the Lux Sky Bar. The breakfast was great - a good variety of options - and we enjoyed a drink in the Sky Bar every evening, with a nice view of the lake and city from there. The location is brilliant - a one minute walk and you are at the lake and easy walking distance to other attractions like Train Street and the Puppet Theatre. Even little things like good water pressure in the shower and excellent bathroom facilities. Overall we were 100% satisfied with Hanoi Media and Spa Hotel and we loved our stay in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, such a friendly and vibrant city.

We had a really great stay at Hanoi Media Hotel and Spa. The customer service was excellent – friendly and attentive. A big thank you to Joy, Jenny and Huy, who were absolutely wonderful and made us feel very welcome. We stayed here twice, and both times we had a room without windows. For one night it was perfectly fine, and we really appreciated how quiet it was – no noise from the street. Breakfast was good, and we also enjoyed the small rooftop bar with a nice view. During our stay we tried the spa and wellness services, which were absolutely fantastic. The massage was excellent, and I even got a beautiful manicure. The hotel also helped us arrange a taxi to the airport, which made everything very smooth. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially thanks to the outstanding service and hospitality.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect—close to everything I needed. I also appreciated the smooth check-in process and the overall peaceful atmosphere! Rooftop bar was a bonus plus you get discounts for drinks. Sunset from that bar was just phenomenal. Breakfast was 10/10. The hotel spa was a plus, got one of the best massages in a while. ATM, convenience store, coffee shops, restaurants to grab a quick bite everything was round the corner. Probably the best hotel in HANOI. Will definitely be visiting again!
