It has so much character ! Felt like staying in a pirate ship, the upper floors are amazing. Breakfast was so fulfilling and the complimentary drink on the rooftop bar was a great way to start the stay.

Rooms are quite small, I liked it but my friend didn’t.

Excellent location- delicious food right outside, great shopping and close walking distance to the lake Traditional style hotel- welcome drink on arrival, the lobby filled with timber furniture and huge bunches of fresh flowers. Yes the room may seem a bit dark but that’s because of the dark timber decor, love the terracotta floor, has a large opening window, very comfortable bed with crisp clean linen… was just lovely Breakfast was great!!! Piping hot pho, eggs cooked to order, heaps of bacon, noodles, rice , curry, dumplings croissants salad- even olives and fruit…. Sitting on the 12th floor with a marvellous view through the floor to ceiling windows- a great way to start each day. And there’s a rooftop bar…. All the staff were happy, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Even though it was so busy in the street, our room was quiet and we slept well. We stayed 3 nights and have now booked another night later in our holiday.

Quirky & interesting hotel. Just in the middle of the Hanoi’s old quarter; proximity to all made it super handy & yet the place was quiet enough so we got a good night sleeps there. Rooms are on the small side unfortunately - comparing to few other places we stayed in Hanoi - however our room (junior suite) was comfortable enough for a couple staying for two nights there. They have a lovely rooftop space to chill and enjoy sunset as well. Ps. I truly loved our firm bed & top quality bedding ! Big kudos for that!

The main entrance to the hotel is little bit difficult to access due to motorbikes parked literally in the door & kind of a butcher shop activity happening right in front of the door in that narrow alley. It is an old quarter and kind if “usual” for Hanoi yet we thought that could be managed a little bit better by the hotel

The Kecho Legacy Hotel is exceptional. The rooms are beautifully styled, clean, and the front desk staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. Ms. Trang (Tracey) was especially helpful and made the stay smooth. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. The suites are stunning, a highlight was the large wooden tub! I also highly recommend the spa, clean and professional with knowledgeable massage therapists. I went to another hotel at a different part of my stay in Vietnam that wasn’t up to my cleanliness standards, canceled my booking there, and came back to the Kecho. Will only be booking here for all my future trips to Hanoi!

The interior of the hotel including the bedrooms had been given a lot of thought and were designed to resemble Japanese decor. Breakfast was presented as a buffet with a huge variety to suit any guest with any dietary needs and a chef was present to cook hot food as requested. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Beautifully designed rooftop bar featuring a red Japanese bridge offered views across Hanoi. Hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of the old quarter. We couldn’t fault it and loved our three days there.

My only criticism was the open slats at the top of the bathroom door. Personally, I prefer a sealed door when using the bathroom for privacy.

Loved this place. Highly recommend. Right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The Owner or Manager really made us feel especially welcome showing us around and sharing the beautiful and unique qualities of this beautiful place. The foot soak a generous and lovely touch. The staff were all wonderful with a genuity that was endearing. The rooms, decor and finishing touches everywhere you looked were just beautiful. The sky bar and restaurant offering incredible views and unique little seating spaces. The breakfast was great. A very special, beautiful, unique boutique hotel.

This is one of the best accommodations we've had in Vietnam. The standard is very high, and the service is exceptional with a high level of personal culture. The room is wonderfully equipped with beautiful decor, and every detail has been carefully thought out. The bathroom amenities are of excellent quality. The location is perfect—although it’s in the heart of the Old Quarter, it’s situated on a side street, so there’s no noise. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. The only downside was that the spa area was closed, but perhaps you need to inform the staff in advance that you want to use it. We couldn’t have picked a better place. We will definitely recommend it to everyone!

Great check in and location of the hotel. The hotel and the rooms have a lot of character and clearly designed with passion. Absolute stand out from all the other properties we stayed in VN. Breakfast was very good and we loved having a good Western spread for a change. Location is a banger! We were flying out on a weekend night and the roads were closed to cars, but with this hotel, we were barely a 100-150mts away from main road even though inside Old Quarter. Thank God for that!

The moment you step out of the hotel, there're 3-4 prep kitchens on both sides selling all sorts of cooked meat to local restaurants. This is a super authentic experience but may not be to the liking of a few. So be aware.

Location is very central to the Old Quarter but is in a good location off a quiet side street. Decor of the place is unique and beautiful. Room was quiet and peaceful. Bedding and towels were clean and very comfortable. Recently opened sky bar has great views. Late check out time is very convenient.

A few minor complaints - kettle in room had mould, shower gel and shampoo bottle pumps were dodgy and replaced with also dodgy ones that didn't work properly, breakfast buffet had small insects flying around some of the foods on all mornings

Excellent breakfast options, with lovely views over Hanoi. Room was decorated very tastefully. Location was superb - very near to popular Bia Street, but be aware that taxis cannot stop directly in front of the hotel as the quiet street is very small. Don't be alarmed by the street - which has many butcher shops. The accommodation is brilliant with very attentive staff. The big bonus was evenings sitting in the beautiful sky bar.
