It has so much character ! Felt like staying in a pirate ship, the upper floors are amazing. Breakfast was so fulfilling and the complimentary drink on the rooftop bar was a great way to start the stay.

Rooms are quite small, I liked it but my friend didn’t.

It was the staff in particular that made this hotel special. We had attentive service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to Anna who gave us a lot of advice and her time. She was always smiling with a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable. The door staff/porters were warm & welcoming. It always felt good arriving back at the sanctuary of our hotel after the heat & hustle of the Hanoi streets. The hotel is in the Old Quarter, which could have been quite noisy, yet is very quiet as it is tucked away down a back street. Spending time on the rooftop bar at night is a must - Vit & Nam,(yes their actual names), both welcoming and great to chat too while we had dinner and a drink.

No gym - a gym that is not in a tiny, windowless, room, with good quality equipment is hard to find in Vietnam. It would be a plus to have this, but given how reasonable in price this hotel was, not expected. We had some shower drainage issues but minor, and to be expected with the age of the buildings in this area. When we mentioned this, more as a maintenance issue rather than a complaint, the hotel staff apologised profusely and said they would get maintenance on to it straight away, which they did. We were asked several times to let the hotel know if there was anything not to our liking and they would attend to it immediately.

Excellent location- delicious food right outside, great shopping and close walking distance to the lake Traditional style hotel- welcome drink on arrival, the lobby filled with timber furniture and huge bunches of fresh flowers. Yes the room may seem a bit dark but that’s because of the dark timber decor, love the terracotta floor, has a large opening window, very comfortable bed with crisp clean linen… was just lovely Breakfast was great!!! Piping hot pho, eggs cooked to order, heaps of bacon, noodles, rice , curry, dumplings croissants salad- even olives and fruit…. Sitting on the 12th floor with a marvellous view through the floor to ceiling windows- a great way to start each day. And there’s a rooftop bar…. All the staff were happy, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Even though it was so busy in the street, our room was quiet and we slept well. We stayed 3 nights and have now booked another night later in our holiday.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing! They were so helpful with providing us information about Hanoi and different activities we could do in the area. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The room that we stayed in was very clean and the housekeeper was very nice and cleaned our rooms very neatly. We really wanted to thank Anna who we got to know a lot throughout our stay there and helped us out the most! If we were to come back to Vietnam we would definitely come and stay here again. It was very central to many different activities that we wanted to do, and the streets were so lively at night. The hotel still blocks out the noise from the outside as well.

The location of the hotel is in a narrow alley, and every morning when we walked outside there are a lot of small businesses/family owned restaurants and they have raw meat out in the open. It was fine for us and we got used to it when we walked out, but for others they may find the smell of the raw meat out in the open very nauseating. Inside the bathroom of our room, we hoped there would be more hooks inside so that we could hang our clothes and towels for showers.

I had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel in Hanoi. The rooms were absolutely excellent – clean, comfortable, and very well-maintained. The breakfast was also delicious with a great variety to choose from. What really made the stay special, though, was the overall friendly and welcoming vibe of the place. A special shout-out to Tracy and Anna at reception – they were incredible! Super helpful, always smiling, full of energy, and truly went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Whether it was local recommendations, or just a warm greeting every time I passed the front desk, they made a real difference to my trip. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. Great value, great atmosphere, and amazing staff

Quirky & interesting hotel. Just in the middle of the Hanoi’s old quarter; proximity to all made it super handy & yet the place was quiet enough so we got a good night sleeps there. Rooms are on the small side unfortunately - comparing to few other places we stayed in Hanoi - however our room (junior suite) was comfortable enough for a couple staying for two nights there. They have a lovely rooftop space to chill and enjoy sunset as well. Ps. I truly loved our firm bed & top quality bedding ! Big kudos for that!

The main entrance to the hotel is little bit difficult to access due to motorbikes parked literally in the door & kind of a butcher shop activity happening right in front of the door in that narrow alley. It is an old quarter and kind if “usual” for Hanoi yet we thought that could be managed a little bit better by the hotel

Kecho Legacy and staff were great! The location is superb with a short 2 minute walk towards shops, restaurants, markets, and more. We especially loved the staff as they were super helpful and friendly. Also, the breakfast and dinner were delicious. We had some of the best Pho at the rooftop restaurant. Our favorite part of our stay was Anna, our receptionist. She helped us throughout our 6 day, 5 day stay to book tours, reserve taxis, and ensured our requests were met in a timely manner. We enjoyed our stay at Kecho Legacy!

The Kecho Legacy Hotel is exceptional. The rooms are beautifully styled, clean, and the front desk staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. Ms. Trang (Tracey) was especially helpful and made the stay smooth. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. The suites are stunning, a highlight was the large wooden tub! I also highly recommend the spa, clean and professional with knowledgeable massage therapists. I went to another hotel at a different part of my stay in Vietnam that wasn’t up to my cleanliness standards, canceled my booking there, and came back to the Kecho. Will only be booking here for all my future trips to Hanoi!

The interior of the hotel including the bedrooms had been given a lot of thought and were designed to resemble Japanese decor. Breakfast was presented as a buffet with a huge variety to suit any guest with any dietary needs and a chef was present to cook hot food as requested. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Beautifully designed rooftop bar featuring a red Japanese bridge offered views across Hanoi. Hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of the old quarter. We couldn’t fault it and loved our three days there.

My only criticism was the open slats at the top of the bathroom door. Personally, I prefer a sealed door when using the bathroom for privacy.

A real gem in the old city of Hanoi. It is in a small narrow street and appears like a corner of paradise. Elegant hotel with colonial style, tastefully furnished. Very kind and professional staff. Very charming rooms and environments, fragrant and welcoming. A choice definitely to recommend.

The bathroom is quite small. Not much space to put objects. The door is practically attached to the toilet. The sink and the tub/shower are brass and therefore damaged and not pleasant looking. It's a shame this aspect of the bathroom because otherwise the hotel is wonderful.
