The location is perfect. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they helped us with all our questions. The breakfast was amazing, you get everything you can imagine. But, when the hotel was full, the breakfast area was quite crowded and hectic. Rooftop is nice, pool area is small but good for a little refreshment during the city stay.

The description of the rooms is a bit misleading. We booked a room with city view and had a house wall in front of our window. Additionally the room was quite small as well. After requesting we could change the room.

Never had a hotel pester you so much to get a 10 rating. It was far too much. Firstly we had to do a paper form on reviewing the hotel which was not a problem as we were waiting for our room to be checked. Then they wanted to sit with us and watch you write a review on booking.com giving them a 10 and saying I can help you do it. I said I would do it later on as we had to leave for the airport but they were being persistent and said it will be quick, I kindly declined and informed them we will do it later in our own time. I thought that would be the end of the matter but then later that day they WhatsApp messages me asking for a 10 rating again. Lovely hotel but tarnished at the end with their persistent request for a review. It was just too much and could have easily been avoided.

We have stayed in this hotel on 4 occasions. Every time we come to Hanoi we stay here. We would not stay anywhere else. The location is great, right in the middle of the Old Quarter. It has some great facilities including a lovely pool on the tenth floor. But it's main asset is its polite and friendly staff. Always a joy to stay here, always sad to leave.

The reception and restaurant staff were outstanding and helpful.. The room was clean and well stocked. The location was amazing. Right in the middle of the old town, definitely not if you want any peace, but great for a buzzy stay.. Make sure you book a room with an outside balcony or view. Otherwise, you may not get any natural light!

Don't bother using their spa. Go elsewhere. Staff disorganised, and the service was poor. The pool and gym were nothing like the pictures, nor open!

Good location, in the Old Quarter. Close to the lake. Close to many of the sights, numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was lovely, staff were courteous at check-in. I had a room without a window. The room itself was comfortable, incl bed/pillows etc and had enough toiletries, tea/coffee/water, plus bathrobe and slippers. Pool was nice. Breakfast was also great, with lots of choice. Wifi was adequate, although a couple of evenings, it did become slow, perhaps with number of people using it. The only thing that was unusual was that the cleaning trolleys were parked permanently outside the room I was given (406) with cleaning staff sometimes spending their breaks sitting outside the room. This made for a lot of noise in the corridor. The manager had not realised this was happening and was very apologetic and offered a complimentary transfer to the airport which was appreciated.

OMG that pool - you will never get a view like that one. Hotel so clean and comfortable, staff so friendly and breakfast is the best we have ever had at any hotel worldwide. Highly recommend.

The property is a beautiful hotel on one of the best spots in Old quarters. Restaurants, coffee shops, bars, vendors, pharmacies, you name it. It’s all close by and makes life so much easier :) The size of the rooms are nice, interior matches the concept of the hotel and everything’s new. The beds are very comfortable and offer a great sleep. The facilities are very clean and the pool is big and offers an amazing view.

As the hotel is very new they’re still having some constructions going on. It doesn’t effect your daily routines at all but there’s currently no spa, bar or gym available. But the hotel is working really hard to have all done by the end of July.

This hotel was a jackpot find for me! It was in a top location, the staff couldn't do enough for the guests, the breakfast was amazing each morning, with different dishes each day to choose from, and the coffee was excellent, the pool was a Godsend when I got back from the hustle and bustle of the old town. My room was huge, and well appointed, including a large balcony and several opening windows which is important to me. There were plenty of very good restaurants in the area and lots of fabulous coffee places. Coffee in Vietnam is soooo good! All the staff were fantastic including the ladies who cleaned the rooms on my floor. They are hardworking people in Vietnam. One of the benefits of the hotel location was the lake about 2 streets right behind the hotel. Walking around the lake, and to the French quarter was easy, again lots of great coffee places and restaurants to be found along the way. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and the area. One last point the private car pick up and drop off to the airport organized by the hotel was excellent. If I ever return to Hanoi again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. It's fantastic value for money and a real treat to go back to each day. Real luxury at an affordable price!

We stayed here as a little treat at the end of our 3 weeks in Vietnam. The staff are extremely polite and helpful; we'd booked 'deluxe city view' but the view was of a tin roof, so I informed them I was rather disappointed with my 'view', and within 5 minutes, we were allocated a better room. The beds were comfy, the room had all the amenities, and a great shower. Breakfast was fantastic, with so much choice.The rooftop bar is a lovely place to end the day, over-looking Hoàn Kiem Lake. I used the pool both days, and there was also a small gym. Nice extras!

Amazing hotel with a great, helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We checked out and left to tour Ha Long Bay, and upon return to Hanoi we planned to leave to Ha Giang but had many hours in between our arrival and departure. May de Ville staff were extremely helpful in allowing us to leave our bags with them as well as utilize their lobby space while waiting. They even provided us with complimentary juice while we waited. The hospitality here is unmatched. The location is also great, very centrally located. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi!
