Great friendly staff, rooms have everything you could need, bed and pillows more comfortable than at others we’ve stayed, perfect location and there’s a convenience store directly across the street! All the noise from outside is completely shut off inside the rooms so it’s nice and quiet, they provide a wonderful generous breakfast with great hours so you don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn to eat, the staff are very helpful in providing information and arranging trips/tours for you and for a better price than booking yourself. TV has Netflix if you want to sign in to watch there though personally just used the YouTube app on it instead for the times we were in. Overall a very good place to stay in Hanoi, definitely recommend!

For some reason we couldn’t get the fridge to work.. which was a bit of a bummer. That being said we didn’t ask them about it so they likely could’ve fixed it, but ultimately we didn’t need it since the convenience store is so close and it wasn’t too hot for our stay. The tv doesn’t have any tv stations which was a shame since I was curious to see local tv, but again not too big an issue since they have other services to use including YouTube and Netflix. The lift and stairs are also quiet narrow which could be a problem for some, though we personally didn’t have issue with it ☺️

The room I had was small but big enough for solo travelling. The people who work there were absolutely amazing. Breakfast was good and hotel could not be in a better position. I did get ripped off by a taxi and the hotel staff went above and beyond to try to locate the driver. It was my fault, I was tired and just returned on overnight coach at 4am and got confused by the driver. Not to worry, he was in minority and not a reflection on the people here in any shape or form.

It is right in the Old Quarter of Hanoi . Busy, old, authentic ... a great experience. Good food, cheap clothes, drinks, bars activities right outside the door, and within a half mile walking radius. It's a basic room, small and a bit homely, but again clean, comfortable and well worth the money. For kids and family, if you're American or Canadian (me) it might seem a bit low class. But for $15/night whatta you expecting? Save your money for tours, shopping, great food

Nothing. At nighttime the street becomes a walking street. No cars, few motorbikes. Pretty great

The location is perfect. Right by the lake, plenty of shops and food nearby, easy access to Old Quarter, staff is nice and speaks English. The bedsheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Good enough for 2-3 nights.

It needs deep cleaning, especially the bathroom. There's a lot of old dirt residue in the corners and around the shower drain. The bathroom has no wall but is rather a glass cubicle, partially see through which I didn't notice on the pictures. Worth taking into consideration when sharing a room with others, they'll see the outline of your body using the toilet/shower. Shower is not separated from the toilet in any way so water splashes around the entire bathroom. Room is quite noisy - aircon, fridge etc. There was also some construction happening as early as 6 am. There was no street noise in my room, which was a big plus.

If you’re looking for a hotel, this is a great place to stay. My room was very small, and did not have a window, but luckily I did not bring a suitcase, otherwise I think I would have struggled with opening it up in the room. The location is great. Please note that there seem to be a couple hotels with similar names. A couple times I ended up walking back to the wrong hotel after inputting it on maps. The breakfast was good too. They’ve got a buffet of fruit and bread, and a menu of 4 or 5 items you can choose from which they will make fresh for you. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so helpful. They helped me with so many things like laundry, currency exchange, and ordering a taxi. On my last day they gave me a bag with banana and water which was so thoughtful :)

The location was great! The bed was super comfortable. The staff was really nice. I accidentally booked one night too much and they gave me money back for the last night. That was really nice! My room was quiet. I know there were fireworks for like 20 minutes when I stayed there and I couldn’t hear them at all.

My room didn’t have any windows, for me that was totally fine, but for others that might not be ideal. The fridge smelled super moldy so I didn’t use it during my stay. The sheets were super perfumed, so for some that might be an issue.

Tony and his staff are really helpful. The location is great for getting around the old quarter, nice and close to the lake too. The beds are super comfortable, the water is hot, and the breakfast is varied and plentiful. Our room was very small, making it tricky to get around the bed and into the tiny bathroom, and there was no elevator up to our 4th floor room. But it was quiet, and provided an excellent sleep. We were very happy with our stay.

Excellent location in old quarter. Wonderful friendly family staff. Nice breakfast. Room was a bit small but comfortable and totally quiet from the loud city sounds.

Unfortunately the sewer smell was overwhelming in our room. I understand the common stinky drain smell in Vietnam is unavoidable and don’t mind it at after traveling around the country for months. But this was so bad we couldn’t have stayed more than a night. It’s as if the drain went directly to the sewer and it was venting out into our room. I’m not sure it’s the case for every room though. I hate to leave anything but a positive review for such a kind family-run place, but this issue needs to be addressed because frankly it felt unhealthy to be breathing this.
