We booked here for a week so we could be in a good location for our son’s wedding and also central for a bit of sight seeing and also because it had a pool, gym and Spa. Because of the wedding prep we did not have loads of time spare for the gym or pool but we did have a full pamper session in the spa which was amazing and such good value!! All of the staff are all so attentive and lovely. In our first day we were late for breakfast which has a great and varied offering; but Chester just invited us to sit down and got us some food anyway. We felt so welcomed by everyone and nothing was too much trouble - genuine hospitality. The double bed was comfy and the shower was good, always makes for a great stay. Also - the in room media is great for when we just wanted to chill with Netflix as we could just log in to our account.

I had booked the deluxe double with a window. We felt the room was a bit smaller than we expected. There was limited wardrobe and storage space - One small wardrobe and one drawer. Probably not an issue for everyone if you travelling with less stuff! However - it gave us an opportunity to only unpack half our stuff which was helpful when we had to repack to fly to Nha Trang.

It was the best hotel experience I've ever had, and I travel a lot for work to really high end hotels (mostly in Europe). The staff were the absolute highlight - friendly, attentive, helpful. The hotel itself is very well located in the centre of Hanoi Old Quarter, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the rooftop area is lovely as well (the pool, the bar and the restaurant). The breakfast was delicious as well. But the staff are what makes it truly special. The gentleman who offered to give me his hat when we were sitting on the sunny rooftop in the middle of Hanoi's summer. The lady who made sure that our luggage, which arrived with a delay, made it safely to our room while we were sightseeing. Everyone who was just genuinely kind and happy to see us. I can't recommend this place enough.

From the moment you arrive at this hotel, the staff take care of you till the minute you leave, nothing is too much trouble. Concierge jumped in to action as soon as we arrived, arranging bag collection from the vehicle, Checking in was made easy, by the great reception staff. The room we had (701) was lovely, had a small balcony that allowed you to watch the world go by. The skyline roof top bar and restaurant was fantastic. Jenny and Panda were outstanding in their service, advice on what and how to eat Vietnamese food. Breakfast was plentiful with both Asian and western available, special mention to Chester who made it his business to make sure everything was to your liking in the breakfast room.

We had a flight at 03.00 am and we were fully cared for with shower service, towels and drinks etc. We got an upgrade for two seperate rooms, because it was the second time we came to the hotel. Don knew exactly who we were and remembered even in which rooms we stayed in the time before. The breakfast is excellent! A lot of sweets and a lot of healthy Food as well as a egg station with fresh baked eggs. The Hanoi Tirant is our home in Hanoi, the price quality is outstanding as well as the location!

We enjoyed this Hotel so much we returned. The staff are wonderful with special mentions to Chester as usual, Huy and Don. There was also a lovely woman at reception but her name escapes us. The room is a good size with the bed very comfortable and a decent size balcony that has partial views of the Lake but at least there are chairs and a table for you to sit out there.

Certainly nothing we didn’t like. However, we did find it strange that the bottom bed sheets didn’t fit and had to have 2 to cover the bed. Certainly don’t remember that from our last visit but in fairness it was still comfortable. We would also like to suggest a larger bath mat and towels, though the latter is adequate but replacement of more luxurious feeling towels would add to a 5 star experience.

This hotel is right in the middle of the old quarter, but a short walk to Ho Kiem Lake. We stayed in a suite on the ninth floor which was very spacious and extremely comfortable. The breakfast at this hotel is one of the best around and was the highlight of our day. We signed up for the high tea package which was a treat every afternoon but you can get their delicious ginger tea in the foyer cafe at any time. Don, who advises and assists hotel patrons with tourist information and bookings is a wealth of information. His polite enquiries about our plans for the day meant that he alerted us to one of the sites being closed when we wanted to visit and saved us a wasted morning. There is a clean water dispenser on the ground floor, so that you can save plastic bottle waste. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Hanoi.

Without us requesting it, the staff kindly upgraded our room to a suite upon arrival — a truly lovely and unexpected gesture. We were warmly welcomed with tea, and our bags were promptly taken from the taxi as soon as we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and surprisingly spacious for such a centrally located property in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Despite its location, we experienced no difficulty arranging taxis or using Grab to and from the hotel. They generously allowed us a late checkout until 4:30pm on our departure day, for half the price of a night’s stay. The sky bar is a real highlight, overlooking the vibrant Beer Street — particularly enjoyable when the weekend night market is in full swing. Breakfast was an impressive spread, featuring both an egg and noodle station, alongside more adventurous Vietnamese dishes such as bánh cuốn, bamboo shoot noodle soup, and even avocado milkshakes. Despite being in the heart of the city, the hotel was remarkably quiet. Our room offered a direct view of Hoàn Kiếm Lake and the iconic Turtle Tower — a truly beautiful sight. A lemongrass-scented burner in the toilet added a lovely touch upon arrival. The shower was particularly well-equipped, with a handheld head, a rainfall option, and dual horizontal jets. We also dined at Met Vietnamese Restaurant next door, which we highly recommend. While we didn’t have the chance to try the gym or spa, complimentary bottled water was provided, along with a traditional pandan glutinous rice cake filled with mung bean — a thoughtful treat for guests wishing to sample local delicacies. The hotel also arranged our private airport transfer, which was seamless and professional, though understandably about double the price of a Grab.

This was our second stay at this hotel and I would highly recommend. We started here and then returned after travelling around and before returning home. The staff are wonderful. So helpful and friendly. Every time we entered after being out they said 'welcome home' and that is how it felt. There were seven in our group and they knew all of our names. They had good recommendations for local restaurants and tours. Good breakfast and restaurant food. I had the best Australian steak here. Better than anything I have had at home. The location is perfect for exploring Hanoi by foot. An Oasis in the middle of all the craziness. Good massages within the hotel. Good roof top bar. Reasonably priced and some nice white wine which is hard to find in Vietnam.

The Customer Service Managers - Chester and Don were excellent. Staff were very friendly, supportive and flexible. We had a package with breakfast and afternoon tea included which was great. The location is great - walking (with safety caution for traffic!!) distance to everywhere and lovely to be in the old quarter.

The travel desk could have been more helpful - particulary the woman. I would have loved more local fruit at breakfast - pineapple, mango and passionfruit.

We stayed in a junior suite which was well proportioned and well furnished with a lovely balcony to sit and watch the busy street below. The rooftop bar was perfect for having a cocktail whilst watching the sunsetting over the city. There was ample choice at breakfast with an excellent egg station plus the complimentary afternoon tea was good. The staff were friendly and professional with smiles on their faces at all times.....thank you all for a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend The Tirant to all who are visiting Hanoi!
