The staff went above and beyond to recommend what to do. The roof top bar had great drinks and food. The room was very large and comfortable.

The loud speaker announcement at 7 and 7:30am. They happen at other times throughout day aswell.

Don’t do a lot of reviews, but in this case, I really need to heap glowing praise on La Nueva, Hanoi. I selected this hotel based on the positive review of the staff as well as its location. I did not fail at any step. Right from the warm greeting from Violet at reception, who personally showed me to the room to the other desk staff who were always ready for a genuine chat. The breakfast is filling to say the least and the staff would almost have my morning coffee and scrambled eggs ready as I walked in. You could not fail to be satisfied by the vast array of food available at breakfast. My go to place of an evening was the skybar. With a full menu available from the restaurant on the 12 floor, as well as the spectacular view over Hanoi’s old quarter as well as the lake, the food was very good. The highlight of the bar was the staff. I was welcomed like an old friend every time I was there (stayed 6 nights). The staff would take time out to chat, ask me what I had done for the day and were genuinely interested. The hotel is about 150m from the lake and the whole area is alive with activity, but the hotel is very personal. Love staying at this place.

The staff at this hotel are young and outstanding at speaking English and understanding how to be with customers. They are not over-bearing, they are friendly and helpful as well as very professional. We stayed here for 4 nights recently and found that the location was perfect, being in the old quater and just 2 minutes walk from the Lake. There are 100s of places to eat within 5 minutes walk and a few small mini marts. Our room the "cozy" was defintely cozy, being the smallest we had in 6 weeks of travelling through Vietnam; but you do get what you pay for! This isnt a complaint, just bringing it to your attention that if you book cozy, you get cozy. The room was clean, comfortable and has all the facilities as described. The rooftop bar was really nice and has great views, . Breakfast had a good selection and was served until 10am to allow for a later start if wanted.

We did suffer from noise from the neighbouring room and the street, despite not being streetfront. To be fair, the hotel tell me that they are upgrading soundproofing of the rooms. The rooftop bar drinks could maybe be better priced for residents; you get a one-off 10% treat and a happy hour on cocktails.

The location was in the heart of the old quarters of Hanoi. Walking distance to unlimited restaurants, spas, and a shopper's paradise. It is a very clean and quaint boutique style hotel. The most impressive part was the hotel's incredible staff. The front desk staff, bell-hops, restaurant servers, and bar staff gave us VIP service during our entire stay. We had an overnight excursion to Ha Long Bay, and they were very accommodating, allowing us to store our extra luggage with them until we returned. If this is your first trip to Hanoi, and you're unsure about where to stay. Believe me, you will be well taken care of at La Nueva Boutique Hotel and Spa!

The location is fantastic ... on the edge of the old town, so close to restaurants, markets, the water puppet theatre, the city sightseeing bus stops and most of the other attractions in Hanoi. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and have excellent English. They can organise any kind of tour you want, and are always offering good advice about local attractions We enjoyed the variety and quality of the breakfasts.

Our room was "cozy" but adequate. We should probably have opted for a larger option. The hotel was installing new doors on the fire stairs and some nights the drilling continued until around 9pm, which seemed a little late.

- I stay in Hanoi a lot, and change and try hotels in the Hoan Kiem area frequently. La Nueva is among the few ones I would consider going back to. - Relatively quiet location, quite unusual for the area. - Decent BF (not grand), very important. - Lovely staff.

I will never understand how some (good 4&5 *) hotels in Hanoi only have Vietnamese coffee, very typical and not for everyone's taste. Just a good normal morning coffee (not even expecting a cappucino or latte) is too much to expect if one pays over $100/night? Did get a cappucino upon asking, but needed to pay separately, prety silly I would think :(

What a lovely find, only a few streets back from the centre of the Old Quatre, by the Lake. Near enough to walk to, but quiet enough to sleep at night, away from the hustle and bustle of exciting Hanoi. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Nice touches like an alarm clock, robes and slippers, and free fruit bowl on arrival. Fresh bottled water each day and a good little fridge to keep it in. The wonderful restaurant staff even supplied us with milk for our early morning cuppa! Trips were well organised from the hotel, including pick-ups, and these were very reasonable and great value. We did a whole day trip with 4 different attractions included, with a great buffet lunch in the mountains. The coach was a 16 seater, very comfortable and luxurious. A great, local English speaking guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable on the history of Vietnam. It was a very good trip to get a good flavour of the country. The Sky Bar on the roof, next to the restaurant, was fun and a lovely place to unwind at the end of the day. The breakfast buffet was outstanding in choice and standard, too. Must do's from near this location...a rickshaw ride, visiting Train Street and seeing the express rush through with a traditional Vietnam egg coffee( like a tiramasu, delicious), the Red Bus Tour around the city, the Water Puppet Theatre, and a Cookery Class from Aprons Up where you get to buy the local market ingredients and cook 5 famous dishes, including the Pho.All of these are within a 10 minute walk from this little gem of a hotel.

Nothing, it was all excellent. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again when visiting Hanoi. Really good value and such a great location.

Great location as you can walk around Old Quarters easily. There are many cafes and spa along the hotel. There’s a 7-11 store along the hotel stretch too. As for halal options around the area, there’s isnt much but you can walk to popular ones which take about 15-20mins or grab a taxi which is around 10mins. The quad room is spacious and can fit 4 people. The toilet is big enough and there’s a bidet too. The shower pressure can be improved, but still usable. The breakfast selection is a mix of western and asian food. The service staff were attentive and friendly during our stay. They helped us to book 7- seater private airport transfer from hotel at an affordable rate (similar to Ride hailing-apps). Overall, I would consider coming back due to it’s location and customer service.

The room interior feels a bit dated. I find that the pillows is on the softer side. There’s only one elevator so it might take some time if there’s too many people.

Overall we really loved the hotel - it is very centrally located in the old quarter which made it so easy to walk anywhere we needed. The staff was very friendly, from check in to check out, always there to help and make us feel welcome. Breakfast was also very tasty, a large variety of continental and local dishes with some changes daily. The beds were comfortable, we slept well and barely heard any noises from other rooms or the street.

We would have loved if the hotel room had a small balcony or a window that would oversee towards a street. Our room had a window that faced the back side of buildings which didn't provide much light.

We had a wonderful stay at La Nueva hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful, very personalized and genuine service. Special thanks to Grace who found us some great deals for our day trips to Halong Bay and Ninh Binh, much better than booking online ahead of time. The hotel is clean, centrally located but still pretty quiet. Room was spacious and clean, comfy beds, functional bathroom. Breakfast was amazing with nice selection of made-to-order and buffet dishes. Not much of a view from the room but that can't be really expected in the old town packed with tall buildings. Excellent city views though from the breakfast restaurant and rooftop bar.
