My wife and I frequently holiday in Hoi An. This year was our first stay at the Merrily, and we couldn’t have been happier.  Our deluxe room was a nice size clean, and had  a smart tv, good aircon and Wifi, super comfortable beds, good hot shower,  and a small balcony.  The buffet breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good variety of foods to choose from, including rice, sausages, noodles, pastries, bread, salads, and egg station. The dining room was nice and cool, never congested, and also included some outdoor seating. We didn’t use the pool a lot, but it was a reasonable size, refreshing, and mostly undercover which afforded sun protection. There were two lounges and a couple of other chairs to sit on. Parking for our rented scooter was available out front, as well as in a secure shed across the road; ideal for night storage. The staff, and owner, were superb, being so friendly, professional and helpful. Special thanks to Tram & Dieu at reception, Ni the chef, Thinh, & Tuan the night security guard who had our scooter waiting out front for us each morning. You all made our stay so enjoyable. Location wise suited us perfectly too, midway between The Ancient town and An Bang beach. We are looking forward to returning again next year.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hoi An Merrily De Art Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and I have to give a special mention to Tram (hope it’s spelled correctly!). She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer great advice on things to do around Hoi An. It truly made a difference in my experience. The hotel itself is lovely, with spacious rooms and a cozy, artistic vibe that gives it a unique charm. The breakfast selection was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and with a variety of options to suit all tastes. It was the perfect way to start the day. Overall, I highly recommend Hoi An Merrily De Art Hotel. If you're looking for a welcoming place with amazing service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere, this is the spot!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Really helpful staff & owner that went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable. Great location - half way between beach and markets. Awesome place for those looking for most creature comforts without the price tag. A bit quieter than close to town/beach but not too far to ride a bicycle/scooter in or cheap taxi

Didn't really get the view we were hoping for. Although I did like the daily breakfasts they could change up the breakfast choices a bit more. I think it's because we stayed longer than most would.

Absolutely amazing! The staff are so kind and welcoming. We arrived to the hotel at 1 am due to a flight delay. The room was prepared for us with a kind note to take rest and the checkin procedure would be solved the next day. The rooms are spacious, very clean, soundproofed and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast has plenty of European and local options, with fresh fruit and eggs and omelet made to order upon request. The location of the hotel is 10 mins walk from the busy centre - it was great to get away from the crowds for a bit.

This was one of my best stays (if not the best) in Vietnam over a month. The staff are just the best 😍 soo lovely and helpful. They knew my name and provided loads of helpful recommendations and suggestions for my trip 🥰. The room is veeery comfortable and clean: I had proper space for my luggage, and it was cleaned every day. The breakfast is THE best from all my travels in SE Asia (over 3 months) - huge selection of items + eggs made to order 🤤 They also free bicycles for rent (if brave enough to cycle 😅). Their laundry is also one of the best, the clothes smell soo nice 😍

What a great place to stay! Very enthusiastic and friendly welcome by the reception staff. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was probably the best we had throughout our 3-week trip to Vietnam: varied buffet and also different Vietnamese dishes cooked to order everyday. Staff are always ready to help: whether with their free bicycle hire, booking tours or massages or organising airport transfers (or if you just feel like chatting) the whole crew could not have been more helpful. The hotel is located just outside the busy centre of Hoi An, only a short 15-min walk away. That made for a peaceful night's sleep. We miss this place already!

We didn't like having to leave!

The staff was incredibly helpful and open to sharing insides, including a near by restaurant which although full of tourists, given the prices and the tasty food was not a tourist trap, on the contrary; the breakfast was more than decent. There is a scooter parking spot just across the street. The elevator worked just fine, the laundry was returned in the agreed time. The bed was comfortable.

There was a mold scent in the rooms, although nothing visible. For me and my husband, this was the first time travelling in Asia, and we were really set back by this. Our friends, who had previously visited Thailand and Bali, had a different opinion, and were not really bothered. Another thing to mention - and not only in relation to this stay, but to 90% of those we had in Vietnam - the credit card payments require an additional 2% - 3%, to cover the bank fees. If this is the practice, it's helpful to advertise it somehow prior to guests' arrival.

We spent 3 nights at this lovely little hotel and it was an amazing stay. We met most, if not all of the staff during our stay and they were incredibly friendly, kind, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The room is very comfortable with great facilities, a lovely clean pool in a nice courtyard, amazing buffet breakfast options with the option to add eggs made to your liking. Bicycles are available to use for free and are good quality and well maintained. Great recommendations for tours and where to explore and helpful tips for travelling the area. Thank you very much to everyone at the hotel, you've been amazing!

Room was very clean and quite comfortable. Breakfest buffet was not big but had enough variety and the food was tasty. Great location that allowed to stay in quite quiet neighbourhood but i'm walking distance from river and old town. They also offer bicycles free of charge with which you can reach beach in 10-15 minutes or get a nice ride through rice paddies. And most important- service, hotel stuff is very helpfull and polite, as we were leaving hotel very early in the morning,before the breakfest was served, they prepared boxes with some food to eat in the airport for us we got while checking-out. Price is good and hotel is worth every vnd.

We are a family of 4 who stayed for 8 nights in Merrily and would have stayed longer, we loved it. Great location about 15 minutes walk to old town. Interconnecting rooms fab and spotless. Staff are the best would go above and beyond for the guests. We booked trips and shows with the hotel. Breakfast was lovely nice choice. The pool was great after the heat walking around. You can get free bikes. The art work is done by the owner Mr Cuong which is beautiful and we bought one from him. We were sad to leave and thank you to all the staff Mr Bean Ms Dieu, Mr Trinh and Ni. We hope to be back in the future
