Sapa itself is a jewel in the Vietnam touristic crown. This hotel is a hidden jewel in the pile of Sapa hotels. I will not describe things such as quality of a breakfast or tidiness of rooms, it is roughly the same across many hotels in Vietnam and it is pretty high. However, there is something special about this one. This hotel, despite very average look from the outside and modest look of the hotel interior is unique in its way. It is very conveniently located on the mountain slope, making it bigger inside than it looks from outside. The restaurant, the pool and the verandah on the 7th floor are actually outside of the hotel. The pool is big enough and nicely placed so you can enjoy the mountain views while quietly sipping your glass of whiskey. The infinity pool with the mountain view is a thing that will make you cry and you will not want to leave this beautiful ever-changing picture. The restaurant is well designed and has great view. The verandah or the area next to the pool is not used by anybody so you can conveniently start a party there, nobody will bother you, especially at the late time. When I say a party I don't mean a loud disco party. Just a relatively quiet convention with fruits, wine and laugh. They have best rooms - 8x and 9x, which are located on the same mountain slope. They are "Two-Bedroom Suite". These are pretty isolated from anything else, have great view and they are close to all these nice things such as restaurant and the pool. Feels like you live in this hotel alone. So if you have money, simply order one of these, you won't be disappointed. Service. What I would like to notice is extreme helpfulness of the girl on the reception. Sorry, I forgot her name, but she was very useful and helpful. Always polite, always knowing, always on our side. She helped us with many things such as ordering tickets to various places, transport and organizing all of this.

We went to buy a couple of cans of Saigon beer to the restaurant in the evening and found that because we pay by Visa all purchases are "taxed" by 8% so called "calculation tax". I mean that Visa purchases cost 3% more than cash, which is understandable, but what made us pissed off is that the fact that someone from hotel staff has to multiply the price of beer to 1.03 immediately raised the its price 8% further. Just BYO drinks. Also, one card for families is not enough. Parents go to pool, kids to visit each other, more than one cards is necessary.

Our stay at Sapa Soleil Hotel was a great experience. The location is very central, with everything within walking distance perfect for exploring Sapa. The highlight for us was definitely the pool and the breakfast buffet was a lovely touch, especially with the stunning mountain views. The staff were extremely attentive, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. One gesture we truly appreciated was being allowed to stay in our room for 2 extra hours after checkout, free of charge, very generous and thoughtful.

The only downside was the small steps between the room and the bathroom. They’re not clearly visible and could be a tripping hazard, especially in low lighting. It would be great if the hotel could improve safety in that area.

Very beautiful, clean and modern. Wonderful views! Nice pool, but very cold. The breakfast was ok, not many options for vegan.

I specifically requested a quiet room. People were partying on the 7th floor terrace which right across from our room late at night and when we called reception he said he doesn't speak English. Then they put a family with three little kids next to us who were doing ding dong ditch all night and early morning, and were running around screaming outside our room. The pool has a close time of 7pm, so the 7th floor terrace should have a close time as well. And do not put guests who requested quiet next to a family room that sleeps five!

We loved the location of this hotel along with the stunning views from the pool and restaurant. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly. The air con was not working on the first night but they assisted as best they could with a fan. It was fixed the next day. I should have booked a room with a window because I prefer fresh air, that’s on me but beware that the standard room booking might not have a window. The towels were changed every day and they even gave us new bedding after day 3. They booked tickets for us for Fansipan which allowed us to walk straight up. The bathroom has a lot of mould in the silicone and the drain really smelt after the heavy rains. I prefer a softer bed so we were both struggling by the end with the very hard mattress. Overall though it is very good value for money and we could not fault their service.

The receptionists were extremely helpful throughout. The pool had a stunning view. The weather during our stay was unusually warm - about 24 degrees and we used the pool every day. It was beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was pretty poor. Small selection, and not the freshest. The bar had a very limited drinks menu and it wasn’t always easy to find a server. The waiters definitely try very hard but the hotel needs to take more responsibility to train them properly. The location is really good. The street is very close to the centre with lots of nice restaurants within walking distance.

The breakfast and bar menu need improvement.

Hotel staff were friendly always greeted us with a smile and opened the door for us whenever we left/came back from the hotel. Loveddddd the breakfast so so much such a nice view and weather to enjoy a cozy breakfast. Options weren’t many just right but really felt homely and hearty! Love the pho served during breakfast definitely a must try along with the omelette!! Room is alright and spacious.

There was a day where the power trip which was difficult for us to stay in the room though not a hotel issue as it affected the street in general

Took the 2-bedroom suite/villa on the 9th floor, the only one with 2 bathrooms . Lovely views. Breakfast starts from 6.30 am which is rather useful if planning an early start. Vegetarian options were limited but adequate. The pool looked lovely but the weather was a bit chilly for the pool. Lots of restaurants and spas around. The sapa train station to go to the fansipan cable car is a 5-minute walk. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The wifi was alright. The staff were polite.

The elevator goes only until the 8th floor restaurant. Need to climb a set of stone stairs to reach the villas but the staff helped with the luggage. The street on which the hotel is, is a bit narrow and tends to get rather congested with frequent traffic jams but the rooms are quiet enough.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was amazing. Big and stylish. The hotel has a beautiful infinity pool with amazing mountain views. Breakfast wasnt amazing, but so are most breakfasts in Vietnam. The lobby and the view from the street looking in, dont dissclose the beauty of the upper levels, where you can find the pool, the breakfast are and the pretty balconies facing the view. Its like there are 2 different hotels. Its completly diffrent from the 6th floor and up. Very surprising little hotel

Nothing. I was pleasantly surprised

Good location. Clean hotel. Ample space. Good water pressure and heating. Friendly staff. They coordinated my requests and answered my questions patiently before our stay. The pho was delicious. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. They have a small swimming pool with a good view but it was cold when we visited Sapa.

If you're staying on the 7th floor, watch out for a small step once you step out of the elevator, and there are a few steps to climb before you get to your room. The elevator is until the 8th floor. The lighting in the corridor is automatic, so don't be surprised if it's dark when the elevator opens. The road in front of the hotel is small and there are lots of cars and motorcycles passing by, so just be careful.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful city. The hotel is one of the more expensive ones in the area (though still very affordable). And it shows. It's better equipped, the rooms are very nice, and the rooftop restaurant served the best breakfast we had in Vietnam. Plus, there's an amazing view of the city. The staff allowed us to store our luggage before our check-in, and additionally showed great consideration by letting us have breakfast before the restaurant's opening hours due to our early departure. Thank you very much!

The windows facing the street meant constant noise from outside, but it wasn't too bothersome. However, it's worth taking into account if you have the option to choose your room.
