The views were amazing, the ocean just screams relaxation doesnt it? There were plenty of short walking trails to see the area. The room was so spacious it could be a small apartment. Every single staff member we spoke to was lovely, even the two gentlemen who were moving matresses around :). Complementry breakfast that was fantastic with a generous spread and coffee or tea made to order. I'm definately going to stay again.

It's tiny issue, but there is a sizable restaraunt that is connected to the hotel. They have music and the restaraunt patrons chatting or sometimes yelling from midday to late at night was invasive. However, I was able to turn it to white noise after a while. My friend however couldn't.

Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was notable how good each staff member was. As a boutique hotel, these guys are very well staffed and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location with easy access to Watsons Bay Ferry to Circular Quay and the local bus network. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Great set up for a family with a king bed downstairs and two single beds in the second story loft. There is also a park across the road for the kids to run around. Perfect for those not wanting to stay in the hustle of the CBD but wanting to be close enough to enjoy the CBD attractions. Breakfast was fantastic. Australian breakfast was very fresh and ingredients were top quality The Beach Club restaurant was a hidden gem. Free parking at the doorstep to the hotel was unbeatable.

Everything! The rooms were lovely with a coastal theme. Bathroom was a great size with great coloured tiling. Breakfast included was a bonus! Fast wifi, good view of the park, nice sized room! Restaurant downstairs was great, went there every night with my partner. Views of the harbour and city were beautiful when having dinner. Just a great spot with beautiful staff as well 10/10!

Apart from the noisy construction works happening to the top deck of the outside restaurant bar (which really can’t be helped and not really a complaint). There was nothing I don’t like about the property. I just wish I could have stayed longer!

Luxurious room with special touches like cookies for coffee. Bed was comfortable and amenities were great. We were pleasantly surprised they offered continental brekkie with barista coffee. The outdoor dining area were buzzing on the weekend with great food and music. It’s so convenient to grab the ferry to circular quay with a short stop at rose bay. The staff were all super awesome and friendly. Parking at the hotel is free. Location is fantastic to visit the gap. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Sydney. Highly recommended

We have been staying at The Palace since Doyle’s days as a pub .. 1980’s with our then little kids… Since Doyle’s we have watched it evolve, and we keep going back to what is my fave place in Sydney to ‘stop over’ … We do soooo much travelling around the world and it tops the warm welcome, wonderful enthusiasts staff. The rooms are spotless with fresh linens and such comfy beds, and it’s quiet. Just love my early morning walks and the cafes, also our must do every time is to catch the ferry to Circular Quay then out to Manly for fish n chips on the beach… Home to Watsons for an arvo chillout and drink, then out for dinner.. Anytime of day is gorgeous looking to the city and feeling grateful to be far away from the maddening mayhem !! Highly recommend 👌

The room was exceptional. The bathroom was gorgeously fitted with all amenities, with a bath robe too. A nice fridge with a Nespresso machine, pods and teas. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was just what we needed each morning. Amazing value for money, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The ferry terminal was right outside, although services stopped running after a certain time late afternoon from Circular Quay, we easily managed a bus back when it was late. We will definitely stay here again.

Exceptional location, beautiful room a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. We loved that we could walk around the headland taking in the beauty of the harbour and the little beach coves. Free parking onsite we didn’t use our car at all over the weekend, we had the ferry on our doorstep and the amazing view of the city.

I don’t believe the Watsons Bay Hotel is a food destination, unfortunately it’s very average when it comes to pub grub. The continental breakfast which is complementary is underwhelming however it’s free and suffice.

We booked a couple of nights here to use as a base for the wedding in nearby Nielsen park. Superb location with stunning views of the harbour. Comfortable and well designed rooms will everything you would need for a pleasant stay. Loved the surroundings and even though the weather was a bit mixed it didn’t dampen the experience. The staff went over and above to be helpful.

Continental breakfast was ok - bit limited at times and the whole experience could be improved with a coffee/tea machine that meant we could refresh our hot drinks more regularly.

Location is excellent. Ferry access is easy during weekends. Weekdays before 10 AM and after 4 PM, one needs to use the Rose Bay wharf or buses. Facility was clean and well looked after. We stayed in loft room, which is ideal (and rare to have) for families. Our room was cleaned and towels were changed every day during our 5 night stay without any issues. Staff is friendly and very respectful. One can watch the whales from the trail, which is about 200 mt away. Highly recommended.

Breakfast and the coffee is complimentary. However it could have one or two additional items like maybe cheese. You need to order something else if you want to have a proper meal at the start of the day.

The hotel is lovely and luxurious. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great, the rooms were perfect with the most amazing view of the city skyline. The food in the hotel restaurant was impressive with lots of choice and kids meals. The hotel location is perfect for getting in and out of the city on the ferry and to be out of the hustle and bustle. The perfect location for families.

The lighting in the room could have been a bit better. No fan in bathroom.
