The location, the staff, the room - I liked pretty much everything. I was on the level 3 and it wasn’t noisy for me at all - cause I saw people complaining about it in the reviews - so there was no need to use the earplugs provided (and I stayed for 9 nights and I am kinda a light sleeper). My window was overlooking the inner courtyard and not the street per se. Bed was comfortable. However the wall between the room and the inner courtyard was thin indeed and once there was a lady who decided to take a phone call there and I could hear every word as if she was in my room. Great a/c - could set up your own room temperature. Decent size shower, there was also a kettle and a fridge and the housekeeping was daily however I thought it depended on a person who cleaned the room, sometimes they would leave me milk in the fridge for my coffee and sometimes they wouldn’t. I took a bus nr 333 to go to town and it would typically take me 50 minutes to an hour to go to the circular quay one way. Not ideal but I preferred to live near the ocean. Bus stop was a 2 min walk. Grocery store Woolworth was 3 minutes walk, McDonald’s was 2 min walk. Bondi icebergs was like a 7 minutes walk and the beach itself like a 2 min walk.

The location is fantastic. The reception staff, housekeeping staff and kitchen staff were all friendly and helpful. The food is really nice. The room is very clean and comfortable. I wish I knew the name of one particular housekeeping staff member. She was exceptional. She is such a genuinely happy and welcoming person. Well done. Yes, you can hear noise from the street, but it didn't bother stop us from getting to sleep, nor did it wake us up.

The only criticism is the staff behind the bar. Three separate occasions with different staff each time and each occasion was not acknowledged while they either chatted amongst themselves or continued restocking...happy to wait a moment while they finished restocking but suggest they acknowledge the customer and let them know they won't be long. Once, I was the only person at the bar (4 staff behind the bar), and twice there was only me and one other person. Once served, there was barely an interaction from staff who were so clearly disinterested in engaging. Disappointing considering that the staff were interacted with in all other areas of Hotel Bondi were lovely.

Very close to Bondi beach which is what I was looking for. The room was a good size and quiet even with being on the main strip. The small fridge and microwave were convenient.

Checking in was confusing in that you enter through a restaurant. Luckily a staff member saw me and directed me towards check-in. Also, check-in and check-out times are limited. I had an early flight and ended up leaving my keys on the desk with a note that I was checking out. In the room, the bathroom was small. I was able to get ready in it comfortably, but someone over 6ft might struggle. I also didn't like that the only place to hang clothes was a wardrobe that was full of extra blankets and held the TV.

Close proximity to beach, the excellent restaurant and the friendly, courteous and helpful staff who also kept and informed me of something I inadvertently left behind. To the kind, slim lady housekeeper who informed me and the staff who kept it safe, a huge thank you. I also liked the table and chairs on the balcony but they should be maintained. The one cushion was stained and the table needs a daily disinfected clean which did not appear to be the case, despite the very busy and good cleaning staff.

Nothing really but a couple of maintenance things are required. A chip off the ablution room door needs painting/repair and the bed fabric at the base needs attention. Otherwise, the room was perfect for my needs.

location was great, super-duper. Decor tried hard but a little dated. it was ok, needs painting, great old worldly hotel. tall ceilings just grand. very pretty but very tired. Fantastic view across from Bondi Beach actually, nice big room. Just the decor needs upgrading. Could generally Check in earlyish. Check out were very accommodating. the guys at the front desk are generous, the ladies on room service so generous and charming absolutely loved our stay and numerous swims. free beach towels for swimming. Cocktails on the Balcony down the road a must Reves Hotel on the Balcony, great afternoon happy Hour Gins Sea Breeze, Magnificent. Just awesome place, and the swim at Bondi and Icebergs nearby, to die for. Beautiful big room lead out onto a massive balcony. would love to do this hotel up for them, as I'm an interior designer. would be a great job on my portfolio. Needs doing up. I can do it on a very good budget. worked for a couple of High-End interior /Architecture firms in Hong Kong I am now working with my husband Architect and Project Managers in Melbourne, Oropa Group, Project Managers Melbourne.

The Decor

The rooms were just fine. I have no complaints. The property was cute, had a restaurant and bars. Plus it was right there with every type of eatery, ice cream, grocery store or activity. The beach is across the street, a busy street; however, Aussies have great crosswalks. I bought the parking, which was cheaper than anywhere else. Just be able to park really well. It was tight. It was quite the experience. Book early though.

It was loud. If you want quiet, ambient noise then skip. I had a little white noise machine and the air con fan drowned it out. The balcony is loud at night, but it was just people talking and laughing. The staff were great.

Great location for the event we attended at Bronte. Very comfortable room that was a good size with all the facilities you would want. If I needed to stay in the area again, would definitely stay here. Only realised we needed to reserve a parking space in advance at the last minute. When I called they thought they were full but they called back and had managed to find us a space which we were very grateful for :)

Bondi is well, Bondi! We stayed on a Saturday night so was expecting it to be busy. There was quite a bit of noise from the street until late but luckily we were on the 2nd floor of the hotel so pub noise was minimal. Public transport to that area is limited and if you're coming from out of town you're going to be coming by car, so recommend you get in early and book one of the 10 parking spots the hotel has!

Excellent location, close to everything you need including Woolies Metro and the beach over the road. Bed was comfy, sofa bed not so much for an adult (the children seemed to be fine) Staff were helpful and friendly and each day we were asked if we required housekeeping or anything at all which was great. Shower was huge, nice hot water and fluffy towels. Also had a toaster, large fridge and microwave so good for self-catering if needed.

Pretty noisy at night/early morning, but to be expected really since you are staying above and across the road from two pubs and it was a Friday/Saturday night. Good spot as far as convenience goes for food/transport etc. but not great if staying with young children (obviously not well thought out on my behalf). I did expect that it wouldn't be as noisy as it was, but you are provided with complimentary ear plugs so guess that was a good clue of what was to come.

Fabulous location to central Bondi, walking distance to beach and surrounds. The room was comfortable and clean and suited our needs for a brief weekend stay. The room had a small fridge, kettle, hair dryer and tea/coffee. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. We checked in late due to flight delays, which they accommodated.

Our room faced an internal atrium and had some street noise. However, the hotel does supply earplugs to assist light sleepers. Unfortunately, the bathroom we had the shower overflowed due to a small rail for the shower door. Be prepared to use a towel to keep the water in. Otherwise, the floor is slippery and can possibly leak onto the carpet. The hotel is unable to store baggage. However, there are other storage facilities for a fee close by if you need it.

The location was great, right by the beach and close to everything we needed. The free wifi worked well, the room was clean and modern, the beds and pillows comfy. The balcony was great and we enjoyed spending time out there relaxing. The free beach towel hire was much appreciated

Not a lot! Some staff were friendlier than others. On the Saturday night the bar downstairs got quite noisy but ear plugs were provided. The hotel reception was hard to find initially and the staff we asked in the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel were not helpful
