Loved the location! The staff were really friendly and helpful. Facilities were good. It did get a little busy in the kitchen during peak times, but the food storage system was brilliant. WiFi was great, our room was clean & cosy (stayed in a private room instead of shared). Huge difference from when I stayed before it was renovated.

The drains in the bathroom had a REALLY bad smell, especially when you ran the water. Our bedding / towels weren’t changed during a 10 day stay and we had to request it. Very loud drains above our room which made loud creaking sounds. Very thin walls also so you can hear everything!

We travelled for a short weekend getaway to spend close to the beach and we were very happy with the accomodation. We had a private room with a loft bed and a private bathroom and the room was very well set up. It was clean, comfy and very clever use of space considering the size of the room. The loft bed required a bit of climbing, but it was very comfy. There was also a good amount of power plugs around the bed for charging various phones and tablets. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and helpful and supported us with all the questions and requests we had, including luggage storage. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back if and when we look at a beach holiday again.

Staying at this hostel was a relief after experiencing so many outdated dirty hostels in Sydney. The beds are very comfortable and well made. I also loved the common areas as there’s lots of comfy spaces to work & chill. The kitchen was super well equipped and always sparkling clean, it was a joy to cook there. Location was great and the staff very friendly and always with a smile on their faces! If you’re looking for higher standards in terms of hostel, this is the place to go.

The bathroom wasn’t filthy but given the fact that they’re quite compact I think it’d be a good idea to ensure they cleaned everyday regardless of how many people are in the dorm. I think the fridges deserve some attention too.

Very well located, and not too noisy and "party" at the same time, which means it was a more social experience, which I liked. What I really enjoyed are the activities proposed by the app, so we get to meet people in a smoother and warmer way rather than a "cold first contact", which is really nice! I liked the pub quiz I got to go, and the several gatherings made by the hostel. one last thing: shoutout to the staff, everyone was very nice and accomodating, I couldn't have dreamt of a more welcoming place thanks to them!

I could feel a bit claustrophobic cometimes but that's also part of the charm of the place!

+ Great location (2 minute walk from Bondi Beach) + Very easy transport links + Staff are extremely friends/helpful + Clean common rooms + Good facilities (washing, kitchen, fridge space (and utilities)) + Bedrooms have comfy beds, privacy curtains, lights, lockable lockers, charging ports etc.) + Offers a range of social events (movie nights, BBQs, coastal walks) Really enjoyed our stay here- we ended up extending our stay!

The only downside is our bathroom facilities, it is quite small and there isn’t really any hairdryer products but nothing major!

Booked The Village as a last minute resort after a terrible experience in a different hostel. It saved my whole trip! Easily the most beautiful hostel I've stayed in. Beautiful beachy vibe that matches the location perfectly, just down the road from Bondi Beach. The common areas were pretty and comfortable, with a big TV room and two other dining and lounging rooms. The kitchen was decently equipped as well, with a BIG storage room connected to it. The laundry room had multiple machines, essential when staying by the beach. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Louise (? from the Netherlands was delightful. They made check-in and check-out very easy, even though I arrived very late at night. The room was on the smaller side, but the bed was extremely comfortable and private. When I shut the curtain it blocked out the outside light completely, which allowed for a great night of sleep. Best blanket I've ever had in a hostel. Overall, I'd recommend this hostel for anyone who wants a peaceful, comfortable beachy vacation.

The locker in the room was weirdly very narrow, so I had to keep my backpack and bag under the bed, but at least I had somewhere safe for my valuable stuff. Bathroom was very tiny too, but it's fine because it was an ensuite.

After a terrible experience at the Surry Hills branch, checking into this hostel was an absolute breeze. Lois gave me such a warm welcome, and the room was fantastic. I stayed in a single-person bunk in a private room—it was clean, had a funky setup, and was super comfortable (though the bed was a bit high). The location was awesome too!

Honestly, nothing to complain about—the hostel was exactly as expected and perfect for my stay. If I had to nitpick, maybe a bit more fridge space would be nice since all the baskets were full.

It was the most clean hostel I have ever been to. Special thanks to Josi & her team for keeping everything shipshape. The service was excellent especially Heloise & Imar (hope I’m spelling it right guys) were super friendly and helped out in any cases! We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed the time, especially the working space & the big kitchen were clean & cozy. Oh and there was an yummy paella event!!

The single loft was clean, perfect fluffy couch and good bed with lovely white bed sheets. Kitchen was good and plenty of space to store your own food and cook. Also laundry machines and common areas, nice activities.

Loft and the toilet were quite small. I signed in for 2 different yoga lessons but none of them really happened so that was little disappointing. Anyway, overall experience was really nice!
