If you want to take the train from the airport and are up for a downhill walk of about 10 mins, you can reach this wonderfully located, very fine hotel outside the CBD with great convenience and i think a $ on public transport! It took me 50 mins with very little trouble. The hotel is older, spacious and intimate. The room was really comfortable and well appointed- calming and charming. The breakfast was really worth booking in for, with a huge range of options. Every member of staff seemed to love their job and helping you. This only added to my overall very positive experience.

The staff were all very warm friendly and inviting making you feel like returning to see them again which is great . They have very clean rooms and bathrooms , my room had a great view of the harbour and the roof top pool is exceptional. Having a balcony was amazing and the atmosphere in Double Bay is great. Reminded me of my grandma and her taking me to the 18 footers as a child and growing up . The ferry and walks from Double Bay are a bonus as well .

We stay here as often as we can. We stayed here on our wedding night and so it holds a special memory for us. It has an old school charm that for some reason reminds us of LA hotels. Staff are always excellent! Breakfast great and surpringly good value. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. Good media options with app casting available on TV. Heaps of shopping, restaurants and bars within walking distance. Cool spot. Has an excellent rooftop pool overlooking the harbour which is fun and relaxing in the warmer months.

Parking is steep at $77/night valet. Beware small packet of potato chips in room is $12!!

Location is ideal, plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, an excellent wine shop too; quiet neighborhood, short walk to the ferry which takes us directly into Sydney CBD.

there was a wedding in the courtyard which was right outside our windows. Thankfully they (and their noise) went indoor before dinner and we finally got some peace.

Early check in was exceptional as was the staff member who checked us in. From concierge to check out the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was delicious with a delectable selection on buffet and made to order. Facilities were aesthetically appealing and staff accommodating and professional.

Our room was somewhat dated with water damage in the bathroom/ toilet. I thought this detracted from the 5 stars.

The staff are outstanding, they gave my children toy teddies and myself champagne in arrival which they loved. I’ve stayed at the hotel many times and felt the facilities were tired (pool area and the room itself needed some attention/maintenance). I loved the buffet breakfast, it had options id never seen before like the juicing station and the herb gardens.

Room very spacious. King size bed very comfortable. TV good size and position and plenty free programs. Lovely small balcony. Staff couldn't have been better everywhere. Aaron and Carol 2 names that come to mind of the welcoming feeling that all the staff gave. Breakfast very good in which I loved the juice extractor for my own green juice with ginger and turmeric. There is a free pool and gym which I didn't use so I can't rate. Parking attendants very helpful. Free wifi. Great position in Double Bay surrounded by shops and eateries and busses UBER taxis etc. Take the cheapest UBER to the airport less than $AU40 for two with luggage. Booking with Booking.com including breakfast a huge plus.

Parking at $AU70 a day very expensive. 5pm checkout after 6 night stay $AU200. If they weren't full could have been a better rate.

Wonderfully comfortable hotel with fantastic staff from reception to the concierge and the always helpful doormen. Comfortable and clean rooms that were quiet and cosy. Breakfast buffet very excellent with a wide selection for all. Pool was nice with lovely sea views. Would return.

A little more help at the pool with more regular clearing from changeover of guests. Maybe another cocktail waiter or two to help with early evening drinks as the roof top is popular.

Great location, good facilities, rooftop pool the lot. Stay here a lot for work, and rarely have a bad experience. Easy to walk everywhere, easy to get to the city. Great restaurants in the area, and the bar in venue is good for a quick sit and drink. Valet is great.

Check in can be a bit slow sometimes. This is only when they're under the pump, and not all the time. Also service in the bar can be a bit hit and miss on the rare occasion. Doesn't detract from the ease of use, location and facilities that the hotel provides however.

Location was amazing, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was 'the BEST' (according to our kids). Roof top pool and bar also very impressive!

The only downside was that our room didn't have a window or balcony- despite having a lovely courtyard right outside. Would have been great to have a sliding door to access the courtyard directly from our room.
