I have known this hotel for years, it has maitained its standards, environment, professionalism . I like a lot about it. Very great for business neworking, its private business sections, make i possible for meetings without stepping out of the building Very friendly staff, clealiness, versatile wide selection of dishes at breakfast:)

Safety of guests: An incident ocurred where a guest was issud with a wrong/duplicate access card to her room. On arrival (at night) someone else was already sleeping in the bed. The first thing that came to my mind was: what if a drunk man was issued with this card and find me sleeping and RAPED ME, how would I prove it in the eyes of law. There would have been no forced entry, maybe the hotel would prove beyond doubt that they had never had an incident of tha nature since their establishment. Very low selection of wines...:) becoz am a wine lover Trainees at dining hall should be trained on posture and smile, noticed this as I also come from hospitality industry BUT only 1 or 2 staff members, overall great

TV with no DSTV and it doesn't have Smart TV option for netflix or showmax so I was wondering what was it for? And the water in shower floor was not flowing correctly

We booked half board. I was disappointed that I was expecting a curry buffet for supper but was told that it was not available as advertised on the website, however the restaurant food was lovely. The amount allocated for supper leaves you with limited options because of the price of the overall menu. The breakfast was really good, however the staff had not set our table. Forgot to check up on us and we had to find someone to bring knives and forks. My egg arrived after I had finished my breakfast and was unable to enjoy them with the rest of my food. There was no sugar on our table. The room was clean, and the bed was really great. Your check in staff was very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi has no hassle at all.

I did not like the delayed service at the restaurant and the miss communication about the meals. They seemed confused on how much we were allowed to spend on our meal and at breakfast we were not on the list. It was however rectified. Housekeeping took very long to bring coffee and sugar to the room this morning and we had to phone again to see if they forgot. Even after the 2nd call it still took them awhile to come to the room. The shower ran cold very fast and was intermitted with its heat. I feel that the restaurant needs a bit of an upgrade on service and menu to keep up with a 5-star rating hotel, especially at the prices that are being charges.

Everything was good, friendly staff & great ambience as you enter the reception area. Our dining experience at Vasco's was awesome. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable with amazing views.

The pool deck was too hot & humid to sit and enjoy our drinks, opted to sit at the bar/lounge on the inside. The waiter was very friendly & accommodating as there was no Jack Daniels Whiskey available but made some arrangements to get, I couldn't get my order of mojito as they were out of mint :-( Had another cocktail instead. These are minor issues although it was a Valentine's Day weekend they should've been stocked with supplies according to their menus.

This hotel has long held a coveted place on my travel list, even prior to the pandemic. The warm and professional welcome I received, accompanied by genuine smiles from the staff, was truly delightful. While I have had the pleasure of staying at numerous Hilton properties beyond South Africa, I must emphasize that the team in Durban stands out as truly remarkable. From Guest Services to the dining experience, every aspect was nothing short of phenomenal. Bravo to the entire team! As someone with discerning tastes, I found myself with absolutely no complaints.

Breakfast: Cyril took excellent care of us ensuring my husband had his gluten free bread each day which was much appreciated. We witnessed his excellent handling of a very demanding, entitled family who clearly thought it was table service not buffet.

Soundproofing: We were moved from our initial room (window didn't close) to a room that had an interleading door & we were woken by the guest next door early morning conversations & tv

Big and comfortable room, everything is up to standard and modern with all the desirable amenities. I liked the 2 bedside lamps, the bright and the dim👌🏼. I give the hotel a 5 star rating for the good quality of the linen. Very comfortable bed . Pleasant and attractive reception and lounge area .

The used bath towels were not changed the following day, just folded and put back. Not sure if that is the hotel policy if your stay is short.

The internal system used to manage check in and check out was not working properly and impacted our experience when checking in and the second last day as another guest was led to our room while we were in there. A big ups to the staff who did their best and got things back up to speed, checked us into a better room and paid for a starter at the restaurant for inconvenience

I loved the location : central to nearby resorts and leisure sites Staff were amazing / very accommodating and friendly Bathrooms were cleansed daily and fresh towels : Hotel was very clean Hoping for spa and more travel organisation at travel Desk I loved the hospitality of staff who assisted me even with carrying our luggage on entry and end of stay : we felt reply pampered ♥️♥️👌🤗👏👏
