I had an early flight out of Sydney airport. So Staying close by was my priority. I chose Citadines as it is a short walk from the Sydney Domestic Terminal - and from other reviewers, I was curious about the roof top viewing area overlooking the airport. Also my room rate included breakfast. My room was clean and comfortable - I had booked at teh budget end of the room offerings, so as I anticipated it was a smaller (but not small) room - with a large comfortable bed, desk, space to store my bag and hang my clothes for the next day, iron, kettle and supplies, and a large clean and well stocked bathroom. Excellent. WIFI is free and fast. Excellent. As it was very wet that evening, rather than venturing out I headed to the roof top kiosk. The view is exceptional. The kiosk had a selection of hot pies and sausage rolls and quality reheat able meals, a well stocked bar, exceptional service and a view that any aviation enthusiast would die for. There was also a movie at 7pm. The included breakfast was a similar affair to dinner - a selection of cereal and yoghurt, toasted sandwiches, croissants and barista coffee. Check in / out was smooth and fast. I will happily stay here again. Also the hotel is about a 600m walk to the Mascot Train Station - and then 3 stops into the Sydney CBD. You could easily and comfortably stay here instead of staying in the for a better priced room in a quiet area, a killer view and amenities that would ensure that you were comfortable.

I stayed at this airport hotel as all the hotels in central Sydney were outrageously priced. Easy walking distance from the domestic airport with great rooms and spectacular views from the bar on the top floor. Mascot train station is a 15 minute walk away and we used Sydney's much improved public transport system every day. Rooms cleaned every second day but staff happy to provide tea bags or whatever is needed in between. Secure fast Wifi which was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast options in the cafe were pretty limited and quite expensive, so we went elsewhere. 10am checkout is also pretty early and you can't check in early without paying a fee which is childish.

The room was great; easy to reach on the lift, nice and dark, very well presented and I was asleep soon after 6pm and quiet all night.

The shuttle from the airport on International arrival was far from easy to find. I was really lucky there was a shuttle person, once I did find the stop, a very helpful shuttle employee I think to call and assist me very well. There was little choice of food on arrival at the hotel. It was a Friday and very quiet but not at all late. The return shuttle had to be booked for the early morning so lucky I asked. It was $15 to domestic which was dearer than I have paid before at other places but at least reliable and got me there and glad I booked on my arrival. Uber always a good option for a group.

The hotel is between 2 metro stops, one of which is at the domestic airport - if you don't have a lot of luggage (say you only have a carry-on and a personal item) you could walk about 15-20 minutes to the hotel (weather permitting). If you have more luggage, then rideshare companies are also available. (Quick tip - if you're traveling internationally, you can take a free shuttle to the domestic terminal and determine how to get to the hotel from there; the fare from the domestic terminal is markedly *higher* than at other metro stops) It takes about 40-50 minutes to get to CBD from the hotel using the metro. The room was clean and small enough for me (solo traveling). There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel but the facility also offers a food bar situation near the reception desk where you can buy some quick meals, if you prefer.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times since it was ‘The Felix Hotel’ and have always found it great, and this time was no exception. The thoughtfully designed rooms work well for the traveller in-between flights. The bed and pillows are superb. The bathroom and toiletries are a good standard (but it’s time to do some heavier duty cleaning on the grout lines in the shower recess), The top floor reception is a novelty, The staff were friendly and helpful. Food options in the self-service styled ‘cafe’ are limited but adequate and it’s good to see some healthier options available. The indoor and outdoor areas offer a birds eye view of the happenings around Mascot and this is really nice after being cooped up on a plane, and there’s a bar and barrister if you need a little something extra.

Loved the shower and comfy bed and wide pillows and views of airport its runways and planes and city from room, and also large windows in corridors but best of all was the reception, dining, casual area on top floor as having the reception up there kept it busy, views at all times were terrific. Able to have a lovely barista made coffee and semi prepared meals and drinks was great. A really lovely place to gather happily and for long periods with comfortable seating areas and many of them. We picked the hotel for the experience upstairs as stayed 2 nights and it didn’t disappoint. And close proximity to the airport so we could easily walk there. Hotel a bit far from Mascot train station however buses to/from the airport stop closer to hotel.

Would have been nice to just have a drop box for room key on ground floor when leaving instead of having to go up then back down and hopefully without having the check-in on the ground floor there is additional security to stop non hotel guests using the entrance and lobby downstairs.

Great facilities, the room is actually very nicely decorated and feels modern It is 7min walk from the domestic terminal so perfect for a layover or a short stay

The male staff at the reception used my bank card without telling me what it was for (tapped my card on the machine), very unprofessional. You need to tell what is being charged if you use someone's card. All in all the check in process was clumsy and as a traveler who checks in around midnight you just want to get to bed, not start spelling your email address (which is already on the reservation). The USB socket didn't work in my room

The hotel was located within walking distance (15 minutes) from Sydney Airport domestic terminals (and its train station with direct connection to the international terminal) and the Mascot train station with direct connection to Sydney city centre (the journey took about 20 minutes). There was also a grocery store and several restaurants near Mascot station, all within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and we had no issues with early check-in (for an additional fee). The room was relatively quiet and provided with everything we needed for a short two-night stay.

The room lacked a bit of a storage space. There was no wardrobe or shelves, just hangers for clothes, so we kept most of our belongings in suitcases. However, this was not a big issue given the short duration of our stay.

Location right by the airport.

The obviously contrived and unnecessary attempts at being a “hip” place. Starting with the ridiculous placement of the reception desk at the top floor. Where you need a key card to get into the lift to go to reception. Why? It’s is an “airport hotel” so why is there no shuttle available before 7am?? The staff was great and nice but rather snooty and condescending at times. I’m not there to be impressed. Need to be a bit less hip and more normal.

It was just a fantastic location right across from domestic airport. The reception at the rooftop penthouse with views of the airport was an excellent sight to begin the stay. The room was so clean and organised with amazing amenities. Also given it was a birthday trip i was given such a generous birthday gift from the hotel which im truly blessed as I was not expecting anything so thank you to Citadines Connect for your generosity. The large size bed was super comfortable and I loved the rain shower water which I would say was the favourite part of my stay. I’m always looking to see if the showers are good in hotels and this one was excellent. Overall incredible stay.
