The staff were great. There was a Booking.com mix-up with the booking and the staff did everything they could to help. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location. The Bistro food was excellent too.

The stairs were a problem. An elevator should be installed, the stairs to the rooms are a burden to the elderly and mothers with prams. I asked the staff if something could be done, but they said it was out of their hands, management wasn't favorable to the change at present. The TVs through the hotel did not work throughout our stay of 3 days. A systems technician was obviously not called in, but that may have been because of the holiday period.

I live regionally and had a 50th nearby, so booked a stay here for convenience. It's a good spot, right in the Sandringham village shops, so if you want breakfast or to go to the supermarket, it's easy. It's above a pub, which I was concerned might be noisy, but it actually wasn't. Bed was comfortable. You even had water views (ok, over the pub roof, but still quite pleasant).

The check in desk isn't manned and there's a number to call - which no one answered after a few attempts. Luckily someone serving in the pub noticed and went to get someone. So not a major issue, but something to be aware of.

Just a very short walk from the train station making it easy to get to without a car. Room was good with ample tea/coffee supplies as well as complimentary soft drinks. Bed was very comfy and there was a view over the roof towards the sea. There was no noise from the pub below but I was there midweek. I ate at the Grillhouse below both nights and my meal was delicious and very good quality. There was also a drinks voucher and food discount. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was a constant hum from the downstairs aircon/fans but not too bad.

We absolutely loved staying at the Night Cap in Sandringham. Having great food and room service plus customer service was of high standards, it just made the experience of the stay even nicer.

Just not having a closer room to our family. We were a family of six and would have loved to stay closer together but unfortunately it was a busy week so it was quite understandable. But other than that it was perfect!

The manager that met us at late check in (8.30pm) was awesome. A really welcoming person. I loved the $20 credit for a drink at the bar. The bed was the most comfortable that I have stayed in (and I stay in a lot of places, including 5 star city hotels). Free mini bar (non alcoholic) was also a bonus. Travelling with kids (11 and 9) and I was the solo adult. Very good value and safe for families.

The location was fabulous: across the road from the beach, train close by, located in the Sandringham village with numerous eateries to choose from and quaint little shops. We had free parking.

The major downfall for us there was no lift. Having heavy suitcases navigating the stairs was a challenge. If you had poor mobility think about another location as there are quite a number of stairs to negotiate.

The Sandy is my 2nd home. I live in Sydney, have been here 3 times now and I feel at home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The cleaners, though I'd rather call one of them, Donna, my guardian angel. I have health problems, and she has been exceptional in ensuring I have all I need. All of the staff, bistro as well, thank you.

Across the road from Sandringham beach. Easy access to shops and train station. Gorgeous view from our window! Staff were so friendly upon our arrival and presented us with free drink cards for the restaurant downstairs, as well as 10% of all meals. Even though the restaurant and sports bar were quite busy and noisy downstairs, 2 couldn't hear any noise in our room. The complimentary mini bar was a bonus!

Hubby found the mattress a little soft.

Great location and value for money. The inclusion of a drink voucher & discount on meals was much appreciated.

A lift to the 1st floor where the rooms are would be great & the establishment wishes they had one. But that is made quite clear upon booking, so this is not a complaint. And the manageress organised a lovely young man to take our large up the stairs :)

Check in process simple and straightforward, staff were very friendly and helpful. Welcome drink and complementary water & snacks. Room was clean, although tired. Bed was comfortable. Location perfect opposite beach and central to Sandringham village amenities.

Room could do with a refresh, bathroom was a little tired with paint peeling etc. Clean and tidy though.
