We usually stay here for leisure and to celebrate occasions. This stay somehow was not as good experience compared to our previous visit. There’s a bad smell in the bathroom though tolerable, not sure if from sink or towels or from anywhere. And also, I informed the staff during my check in that my husband will arrive around 3am, and be needing the support from front desk to help him enter. It ended up I needed to go out for him because the man at the lobby did not let him open the door for keycard (parking and room). Anyway, this is our favourite hotel to stay. Comfortable and easy access.

The reception staff are friendly, respectful, and helpful. I wasn't keen on the hotel when I first arrived but it grew on me. It met all my basic needs, including ironing board & iron as standard. The room is cleaned daily. Good and effective Wi-Fi. There is tea and coffee available in the room. It's value for money. The location is good with easy access to public transport and city centre. There's a lot I actually liked about this hotel. The room is a good size but no viewings, and the window was shut throughout my stay. However, that was fine by me.

The breakfast is always cold. There were no bathroom slippers.

The bed was comfortable and well made, the bathroom was clean with a nice sizable shower. Air conditioning and bedside light control made things very plush along with a tv that has impeccable speaker volume.

The room I got unfortunately didn't even have a window, just a sad little skylight that barely let in an even sadder daylight, the toilet brush holder still had old toilet water in it as well. There was an annoying vent noise in my room the entire night which would've been acceptable due to no window (I do need fresh air after all) but it was coupled with the mini fridge making a clicking noise and the aircon making a slight cracking noise every now and then.

I’ve been staying in this hotel since 2015 until now every times if I go holiday in Perth. I can see there is a lot improvement from many aspects including room and service. The commitment from the management team towards this project has shown that their commitment to hospitality industry. The restaurant is good, breakfast just nice.

Yet there’s still a room for improvement in housekeeping, which is in my second days I cannot sleep because they not clean my bedroom properly. The blankets that I use make me itchy. Not a big issue for me but the next day I need to go out early for next tour trip with my wife and I feel tired because not enough rest. Overall still happy with the room.

The property is very clean. We find the location convenient, surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes, Asian stores, and dessert places. Everything is just a short walk away. The staff is friendly and easy to communicate with during check-in and checkout. There is a secure parking area available. We will definitely come back to stay here on our next trip but will choose a different room.

The room is very close to each other where you can hear everything from the room next door. I always stay here many times and we had no issues before. This trip is a bit disappointed experience where we hear noisy group next door, and we also being knocked once by a other next door just because me and my partner was laughing (not loud at all). After the incident we felt not happy as we have to whispered all the time. The next door knocked our bedside at 10pm on the weekend. They made a noise in morning even trying to open the connecting room door twice, we never argue or complaint. Such a bad experience this time

Great location - short distance from town, easy walking. Plenty of restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, museums, etc. in the neighbourhood and surrounds. We had a bedroom that sleeps 3-4 people, and it was very roomy, bathroom was very large. Everything that was needed was provided. Handy restaurant & bar on the foyer (which made it easy not to have to go out) and is run by a lovely owner who was very helpful with the menu selection and accommodated our individual requirements. Food was more than acceptable and very plentiful.

If I am being pedantic, one lift wasn't working (but only because it is being replaced with a new one!) and our room keys were deactivated before our check-out time (which meant we had to go up a down to reception to get the keys reactivated to get back into our room and collect our luggage.

Very close to Northbridge. Good price for the room. Clean room and bathroom.

Only one chair in the room - can't eat at 2 on the desk. No coffee is available in the morning at the hotel. If you want a coffee you must order a $10 breakfast even if you don't want to eat. This is completely stupid as they have a huge coffee machine and make coffee after brekkie hours. The bed is a bit too soft and has wheels that can’t be locked, so you can’t sit back against the wall - it just rolls away. No body wash or shampoo provided.

The staffs were super amazing and very helpful especially a Bhutan young man like Jewhad or something similar being the name, an amazing , very kind and helpful and a totally super efficient staff. Made us felt comfortable and enjoy our stay. He addressed our concern straight away and even attended into our bedroom to set up our air conditioning remote. Fixed our leaking sink and just shared few jokes with us. Such an amazing, very respectful guy and very very helpful and understanding. This hotel is blessed to have these kind of people and we loved it when he's around. Thanks heaps Great Southern Hotel. Please pass our appreciation to this staff. Hes such an asset. What a great hotel. We stayed for 6 nights whilst visiting our son in Perth. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help you. We had a queen superior room, which had a small bar style fridge, kettle, coffee tea making facilities, and microwave. Bed was very comfy, smart TV. Breakfast served every morning. All in all, a great stay. So much so that we are back again for a 17-night stay this time. Great location for the city, local transport, and 20 mins for the beaches I would definitely give it a go. You won't be disappointed

I like everything about it. The location was amazing; whatever you need is just a matter of walking out of the hotel's doors. The staff were so helpful and friendly. In terms of cleanliness, it has been the cleanest hotel that I have encountered yet. Not stopping from there, the room was spacious and comfortable, giving a good night before my important day. In conclusion, I can't vote for it high enough to meet the standards that the hotel provides to its guests.

The only drawback is that the room where I stayed didn't have any balcony or windows to open air. However, with its price and other values, those issues aren't important.
