Room was immaculate! My room also included a balcony, which was an instant plus! The location is walking distance to many eateries and approximately 10 minutes away from Karlslplatz metro station. Billa supermarket is close by, so we were able to purchase great wine, chocolates and cookies for our stay and gifts for our families back home.

There were steps that we had to take to get to the elevator, our rooms and the breakfast room. Having bad knees, it was an anathema to me having to haul my luggage up the stairs before getting to the elevator. I was surprised there wasn't any service person to help us with our luggage.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, and I appreciate its dedication to be as eco-friendly as reasonably possible, all the while maintaining the old-fashioned style. There is a variety of breakfast option, and even possibility to arrange a takeaway if you need to leave early on. The breakfast hours are exceptionally broad - 6:30am to 10:30am.

We generally do not make use of the mini-bars at the hotels, however we often make use of the fridge to keep our own food products - for instance, to cool down water bottles or similar. Unfortunately, the mini-bar fridge turned out to be so tiny the mini-bar itself barely fit. The breakfast options, while varied, had a rather heavy focus on meat-eating guests, and vegetarian options were more limited, and the vegetables were unfortunately quite bland.

The staff were amazing. I didn't see any sad staff all throughout my shift. Yurile (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) and Sara were amazing. The chef was so kind to make me a cake and special recipe for my birthday. It was a short trip but with how every staff member I met was eager to assist, I will be back. It was beautiful hotel. My best one was being in a room that has a very clean toilet and there was no stain on the carpet which is my thing in a hotel. My birthday was worth spending there. Thanks everyone for the good work. Expect me again.

Filling the shower gel very well but it was not something to hold against them.

Breakfast was great, offering a variety of fresh options that catered to different tastes. The on-site restaurant, Wiener Wirtschaft, serves traditional Viennese dishes and I recommend the schnitzel. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant stay. Overall, Hotel Erzherzog Rainer combines cleanliness, comfort, and a prime location, making it an excellent choice for visitors to Vienna.

The entire experience is old world European luxury. Understated luxury in a very good way, Think of "A Gentleman in Moscow" and you'll have the concept. Everyone is there to make your stay comfortable and you are treated almost like royalty. The restaurant is white tablecloth formal, but in a relaxed way. The breakfast is expansive and on point. IMO, they should be charging at least 50% to 100% more than their current rates. Obviously I'd highly recommend a stay there before the rates increase to match the level of quality and service.

absolutely nothing to dislike about the Hotel Erzherzog Rainer.

Location is excellent. Less than a kilometer to the Opera Ring Road. Room was comfortable and nicely appointed. Hotel was renovated not very long ago and AC was added. Fixtures and room furnishings are clean and in good condition. Breakfast is reliably very good, with a nice variety of healthy foods and fresh baked goods on offer. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We have always felt welcome when we have stayed here (8-10 visits)

Mattress in my bed could be slightly past its best, but not bad. All other items such as linens, towels, and room and bathroom fixtures are in top notch condition.

Staff very polite especially at the reception. Smooth check-in & Check-out. Great location, close to city center. Hotel parking garage was 2 min away. Good breakfast for the price.

We paid an extra 15€/night for a better double room, but the bed was not a double bed but 2 joint single beds. When the request is for a double bed, the bed should be with a single double mattress, or at least another layer or thin mattress on top to not feel the gap in between the single mattresses. Still, will give a 10.0 for the good price and location

1.payment in cash at the hotel's desk for the restaurant was not carried according to the local hotel's system and I had to show the receipt that the payment was made, if the receipt had not been saved, I would have had to pay again, but the leady in reception desk was trusting and everything ended well, but the sediment remained 2.the general air conditioning system is not controlled from the room, it is not possible to change the air flow or turn it off

I have stayed for 4 days. My room was quite big for single use which I did like and classy. They even put a small chocolate as a welcome. Room was well heated and cleaned. Breakfast was excellent. There were many options to try. Especially the staff was very helpful and smiley. I love my stay here. Thank you!

The only thing was the absence of coffee machine and the free use of bottle of water at least for once. And one more thing for info you can't take the key with yourself, have to leave it at the reception. Which was fine for me.

Everything! Immaculately clean, great breakfast, very friendly helpful staff, one metro stop away from the center (or 15 minute walk). Thoughtful little touches like a grey ‘makeup’ washcloth so the white ones don’t stain, something I’ve never ever encountered, plenty of hanging hooks that always are handy, big bathroom with ample ledges near sink and shower for toiletries- found these to be so convenient! The hotel has an old world charm with all modern facilities. The ornate brass door handles are polished every day! I like that there is an actual metal key and it is to be handed to the front desk every time you leave, like the good old days! I would definitely stay nowhere else on my next visit!
