Good location outside the tourist zone of the Inner Stadt, but close enough to walk there. Lots of restaurants around and good public transit access to get around the city and get to the main train station. We needed room for 2 adults and 2 kids and had a very comfortable room, actually a suite! Staff were very helpful (one of my kids got sick and they let us check out late so my kid could get extra rest).

Not the cheapest, but that was true of almost all Vienna hotels! Laundry service was exorbitantly expensive, but there’s a same-day laundry service just down the street that’s been reasonably priced.

I was so so happy I booked this hotel. It was close enough to the train, and you will enter via this beautiful charming courtyard with colourful umbrellas. The hotel is in a really good location, very quiet, close to the best gelato and breakfast spots. The room was bigger and better than I expected, and even had a bathtub!!. The staff were so kind and helpful and went the extra mile to explain all the attractions close by, and we got some really good discounts too! They also really helped us out when I was in a tough situation and had to stay an extra day later than expected. To my surprise there was even a sauna in this place!! - It was really good strong heated sauna too. We kept getting surprised every day by all the little details and extras they were giving us. I didn't understand why so many people complain when I read the reviews for this place. Overall i will definitely be coming back, and going with this chain again. The staff and facilities exceeded my expectations.

Everything was perfect - only very minor things - the couch needed a backrest or cushion. And it was a bit far to walk from room to elevator.

Location for the centre of Vienna - pretty good - 15 minute (pleasant) walk. Helpful staff ready to give directions and advice. Room was well equipped, and serviced for the second day as well (not expected for a two night stay) Resturant - evening meal good. Breakfast has a wide selection. Nice touch of personal omellette maker. First morning - chaos as drinks machine faied and took a while to fix - at the time of peak customer demand. It was fixed but not a lot of engagement from staff to apologise and provide updates. Closeness to station made it easy to walk to and catch a train for the airport upon departure.

The Austrian menu is low on vegetables - a general finding - so an option of more vegetables would be nice.

The staff was nice. The room was well furnished, even if I needed a desk to work and the one I had was a bit small. The position is nice: close to Stadpark and to the train station for the airport and for the city centre, which is 15 min walk far, by the way. Plus, there is also the city mall in the station close by. The breakfast was wonderful as well as dinner, the food was really good. I feel to recommend this hotel.

The price was really high (more than 200€ per night), I know in Wien these are the costs, but I still think that it was too much for the offered services. There was a flyer for the TV channels, and most of the channels didn't have the signals (I tried the English and Italian channels, which didn't work at all and for the German ones, I think most of them worked). The carpet was not properly cleaned, in my opinion.

Very good location in a central area - a lot of stores and places to eat nearby. Vienna's public transportation works excellently, and it's easy to get anywhere from the hotel. Friendly staff, straightforward service and a clean hotel.

The room's air conditioning was not efficient enough. Fortunately, we were provided with a separate fan. There were some minor challenges with the hot water - it was not always available for a while. A bidet shower would have been an excellent addition.

Location is perfect. In 5 min walking distance from the City-Airport train terminal. In a nice and quiet neighbourhood. Has very good transport connection-bus, train, tram and underground. Plenty of cafe, restaurants, supermarket and shopping mall close by. Old building, so it has old traditional room with modern decoration. I have the privilege room, which has coffee machine, complimentary water. nice room size and sofa and comfortable chair. continental breakfast which is fine. Has restaurant onsite.

WIFI was not working properly on Saturday morning. There is only lift access to the hotel floor. No staircase available. Lucky that I didn't go out at busy time

First of all – the location: close to the central station, the underground, and the city centre. The place is situated on a very charming, narrow street. The room is spacious and clean, with a really nice shower gel and a bottle of water provided. Breakfast is exceptional and truly unforgettable, especially because of the open veranda.

The room felt a bit outdated. There was an issue with the shower – after using it, water ended up all over the bathroom floor.

We chose the Mercure because if its location - just 5 minute walk to the City Airport Train station. We were very surprised at how lovely the hotel was combining old world style and beautiful modern amenities. To our surprise, we were chosen as The Guest of the Day and presented with a room upgrade, 2 free drinks at their bar and access to items in the minibar for free. As you can see in the pictures, the 'privelege' room was amazing - spacious, beautifully appointed and comfortable. Regarding the location, there are lots of food options (food carts as well as restaurants) and shopping up and down the street. Don't let their window upgrade renovation stop you from staying here. It is the perfect jump off point for all your tours in Vienna with easy Tram and metro access and the biggest plus is the ability to drop your luggage as soon as possible after arriving in the city! Many thanks to the Mercure for a wonderful stsy.

The location was very good with easy access to city centre whilst located in the delightfull little alley way which was quiet and safe. The staff were very pleasent and helpfull particulaly at reception .Our room was spacious and overlooked a garden. The bathroom was very clean .The food was good there was a good choice for breakfast . The evening meals were delicious too.We would recommend this hotel.

We were shown where breakfast was to be served in the Atrium which was pleasant but a rather small room. There was a large party of Japanese tourists who virtually took over all of the tables and were talking very loudly and making it difficult to hear what either the staff or ourselves were saying .On one day the staff said it would be difficult to find us a table but no one told us that we could have eaten in the restaurant next door to the Atrium. On the day that we left we saw other guests eating in the restaurant. The Atrium opened onto a garden terrace eating area which I am sure would be vey nice in the warmer months.

The hotel’s location near the city center is very convenient. The toiletries provided were complete, which was a nice touch. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, except for the bartender, who fell short of expectations. A standout feature was the complimentary room upgrade, which included free drinks and a fully stocked mini-bar—definitely a pleasant bonus. Overall, it’s a good option with a mix of positives and minor drawbacks, especially if location and perks are priorities.

Although the furniture and shower are dated, they remain functional. The bathroom and sink had clogging issues, likely due to the age of the facilities.
