This is a truly exceptional hotel located in the heart of central Manama with shopping malls, the souq and the waterfront all close at hand. It's so good that I ensured I stayed here again on my second visit to Bahrain. The staff go above and beyond guests' expectations - nothing is too much trouble. The peaceful hotel lobby and mezzanine library are immaculately kept with great art to view and luxurious, stylish furnishings. The rooftop Indigo restaurant serves food from breakfast until late...and it's only a few steps away from the pool which boasts great views on the Manama skyline. All the suites are generously sized and include an ice maker, fridge and a microwave. Led by the ever attentive but never intrusive general manager Riccardo Cocco, this is a perfect five star luxury choice for business or leisure.

This was our third visit to The Merchant House, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s ambience is truly unique—stylish, calm, and welcoming. The staff consistently provide warm and professional service, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrive. We always enjoy dining at the hotel restaurant, and during this stay, we had the chance to try the spinach pancake at breakfast—it was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. A special mention to Camala, who served us with genuine warmth and attentiveness. She made our morning even more pleasant. Looking forward to our next visit!

This beautifully decorated designer hotel in the heart of the city is a great starting point for exploring the surrounding attractions. The hotel building itself has an interesting story and in a fantastic way combines traditional and new, works of art and elements of industrial design such as concrete. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed and very comfortable, and the cleanliness is of the highest standard. The food is very tasty and fresh, with well designed menu for various tastes. And last but not least, the hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and always available, which is very important for me personally.

We especially enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant—it was delicious, with a great variety of options, and the coffee was exactly to my taste. Overall, an outstanding experience! LOVED this hotel!! Really well considered, friendly, lovely large suite style rooms, great rooftop restaurant (exceptional food) and impeccable service. Many hotels get the small things wrong so really appreciated the attention to detail here. Fluffy towels, great pillows, very comfortable bed, good quality toiletries, sight recess in the shower floor to avoid flooding the bathroom floor and bedside master light switch to turn everything off. Breakfast is al a carte an aw Mini bar is well stocked (although pricey). Spa was wonderful good massage and facial. Everything you want from a boutique hotel that the big brands simply can't compete with. As a regular visitor to Bahrain I will 100% come again and recommend to friends. Hotels in Bahrain are expensive but for me this represented good value. Well done Merchant House!!

I had a great experience during my stay. The location was a major plus, and the valet parking was excellent. The cleaning services were top-notch, and I loved the comfortable bed and spacious room. Overall, a fantastic stay!

My request for a higher floor was initially ignored, even though there were available rooms. However, Abdulrahman at the reception stepped in and helped me by giving me a slightly higher floor. The staff member who checked me in was unhelpful, but Abdulrahman's support made a difference. Thank you for your amazing assistance!

Being on the edge of the souk means the Merchant House offers proximity to the heart of Manama that no other 5 star hotel in Bahrain offers. This is no archetypal 5 star hotel. It oozes class, sophistication and style that is a credit to all involved in the design of this boutique oasis. With more art than walls every turn offers a new artist to devour. The design detail in each room doesn't disappoint and the attention to detail in the design aesthetic is quite incredible. A quite beautiful hotel that cannot fail to delight.

It would be easy to say the swimming pool is too small, but it is a boutique hotel in the beating heart of the city. Relax instead in the beautiful library on the mezzanine floor and treat yourself to a good read.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Bahrain. I booked the Signature Room, and it was absolutely wonderful—very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The hotel service was exceptional; they even helped us clean our wedding dresses, which was such a thoughtful touch. I would like to especially thank Farhad, Mohamed Abdel Mohsen, and Mohamed from the staff for their outstanding assistance. Their professionalism and kindness made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Great location only 1 minutes walk from Manama souk entrance with many shops, restaurants and markets around. Hotel lobby is superbly decorated and whole area looks like art galery, with art pictures and even with an original Picasso painting! Room was very clean with comfortable bed and housekeeping did great job with cleaning our room. Breakfast was good with differnt options to choose. An added bonus to this hotel are people who work here. Special thanks to recepcionists who were very professional and kind and they made my stay special.
