The Flavia gets everything just right! From the warmest welcome and the exceptional staff, to a super clean and well appointed room. Very comfortable beds, great shower and bathroom in a central but quiet location. The courtyard garden for breakfast and small roof terrace for drinks, together with a tour of the Roman baths in the basement and private parking, all add to make this a gem of a hotel. Believe the reviews! This was our favourite hotel of the six we stayed in during our Bulgarian fly-drive, which included two 5* hotels and well deserves its high rating.

The location is perfect as it borders old-town Plovdiv on one side, and the long shopping street "Knyaz Alexander I" on the other, where in minutes you reach great shops, restaurants and terraces. The Roman bath house discovered in the basement during the hotel's 6 years of rebuilding and renovation, was integrated into the hotel with great care by the new owners after Plovdiv's archaeological excavation. The atmosphere of Roman times can also be found in the beautifully decorated courtyard where you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch. The luxurious atmosphere, intimate service and unique style, combined with up-to-date modern furnished rooms and bathrooms makes staying in this hotel a great and unforgettable experience, more than just an overnight stay. Both the owners, the entire staff of Villa Flavia, including the cleaning ladies, are extremely customer-friendly. They are always ready to help or answer your questions, and always up for a pleasant chat. Although for certain reasons the hotel is rated as a 3-star hotel (e.g. because they do not have that many rooms), Villa Flavia definitely deserves a 5 star rating in our opinion. We stayed there for 10 nights (3 + 7), and will definitely return to this hotel on every future visit to Plovdiv.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

The hotel is build direct over an ancient Roman bath and the key elements are accessible from the hotel lobby. The boutique hotel has an incredible charm complemented by the managers and staff who treat you like family members. The rooms are fitted to the newest international standard. Breakfast is breathtaking in the cosy lobby and garden. The location is perfect to explore the old town in few minutes walking I have traveled to over 100 countries and there are only a handful that can match the experience made at Villa Flavia Heritage Boutique Hotel.

The tour provided by hotel owner about the Roman-era bath discovered (and preserved) in basement of hotel during construction. Every detail of the hotel was exceptional. Tastefully decorated in every way. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee was the best of 4 different hotels we used in Bulgaria. Location is outstanding, you are minutes away from all key sites by foot. Hotel-owned parking lot is convenient, only a minute walk from hotel entrance.

There was not one thing that did not meet or exceed expectations. We visited Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Turnovo, and this hotel was without question well above the other great hotels we used. Probably one of the best overall we have used in our 25 years of European travel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this very charming boutique hotel with so much ancient history that is literally built in it. The service was excellent and the personnel was very friendly and super helpful. Everyone went beyond and above their duties to make our experience really wonderful and enjoyable. The hotel is very new, clean and well maintained. The garden is very charming and creates a romantic and very relaxing athmosphere.The breakfast which is included in the room rate was very delicious and included a big food variety. The chef was great,the pouched eggs Benedict which we had for a light lunch were mouthwatering and we had them more than once. The historic tour of the hotel was very interesting and educational. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history beneath our feet. To conclude, we had a wonderful time and we are definitely planning to come back. I highly recommend Flavia to anyone who wants to go back in time in a very enjoyable and relaxing way. .

A Fantastic Stay in the Heart of the City We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to all the main attractions. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of tasty options to suit every palate. The staff were exceptionally friendly and kind, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel itself is spotless and well-maintained, with a unique style and comfortable atmosphere. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with great amenities — the highlight being the Nespresso machine, which was actually one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It was such a nice touch that made our mornings even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality!

Everything was perfect

The location of this property is 10/10! Close to all major attractions, restaurants and shopping streets. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent recommendations were provided on where to eat and go for sightseeing excursions. We were also provided with a tour of the ruins underneath the hotel. The breakfast was also great. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms were comfy and beautifully styled. The temperature of the rooms were a bit hot, it would be great if guests were able to regulate room temperatures themselves. Also, the TV has the ability to cast apps such as Netflix, but we had to ask for a remote from reception - it could be useful to have these available in rooms for guests that speak a foreign language. Overall there were nothing that we disliked, these are just recommendations to make the stay even more comfortable.

The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect—you can walk everywhere. The staff is very attentive and helpful. When we asked for recommendations on places to visit and restaurants in the city, they provided us with a great map and a list of restaurants. They also answered all our additional questions. While waiting for our room to be ready, they offered us a complimentary drink and even upgraded our room. One of the most remarkable aspects of the hotel is its deep connection to history. If you have time, we highly recommend joining the tour that showcases the hotel’s history and the traces of the past. The bed is comfortable, and the room is quiet. Everything you need is available, including complimentary beverages (such as soda, coffee, and tea). The atmosphere is cozy, and the cleanliness is impeccable. We are definitely planning to come back!

We had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for the second time, and once again, we were thoroughly impressed. The original Roman bath at the bottom of the hotel is such a unique and remarkable feature – it's an experience we won't soon forget.
