Our room and ensuite bathroom were compact but very well equipped and very comfortable, and the lounge area was big and also comfortable. The provision of a kettle, fridge and microwave were very much appreciated, and we were able to borrow plates and cutlery from the hotel. It was just a short three block walk to the Vitosha pedestrian only area and all the shops, restaurants and parks nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and the aircon worked very well. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Although the hotel is right in the middle of the city it was amazingly quiet and we did not even hear any noises from outside, so we slept extremely well. A Metro station was a short walk away.

I put one of our bags on top of the wardrobe in the bedroom to get it out of the way, and then when I needed it and brought it down I found it was covered in about a centimetre of fluffy dust that took me almost half an hour to clean it all off! I suggest the hotel have their cleaning staff clean the tops of the wardrobes on a regular basis.

This is a cozy, unpretentious hotel with a family-run atmosphere, which suited me perfectly for this trip. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed, but never intrusive. Room was very large with a separate living room, including fridge and microwave oven. Slippers were provided. Breakfast buffet was quite satisfactory. The Greek restaurant next door was really good too and I dined there twice.

The bathroom only had a shower, but that didn't bother me on this trip. The lift is a bit small, which might be an issue if you have a lot of luggage, but wasn't a problem for me.

This is the second time I'm staying at Hotel Niky, and it has definitely become one of my top choices to consider when I pass through Sofia. The staff is professional and friendly, always ready to answer questions or help you with whatever you may need. The rooms are clean and the bathroom looks new (in contrast to many other older hotels in Sofia). I like that the hotel offers breakfast, and the spread includes Bulgarian items, as well as popular breakfast options for visitors. The location is perfect - a few minutes walk from Vitoshka, the main pedestrian street lined with tons of restaurants and stores, and other popular locations like the National Palace of Culture.

Continental breakfast. The buns were very good. Our room was a great studio apartment, very spacious. The heaters were on and we didn't feel cold despite the snow that fell during the night. The towels were spotlessly clean. I think it's great that the bathroom has a bathtub. We liked our room very much. The location of the hotel was also very good. 100 meters from Vitosha Boulevard. 10 minutes from the NDK metro station and 20 minutes from the Serdika station on the other side, which is the center of the city. I can easily recommend it to those who want to stay.

I think it would be better if fresh bread was served for breakfast instead of sliced ​​packaged bread, and if boiled eggs were served hot instead of cold.

we booked last minute for a one night stay on a cold 1st January. we were travelling with a wheelchair-bound old family member and the staff did everything possible to make sure we had a good stay. Very nice place. Access was through the side restaurant, and the lift was small but fitted the wheelchair. We stayed just for one night but had a nice time. Warm, very clean, modern, nice breakfast, friendly staff. near the pedestrian shopping street.

note that the surrounding streets (and the city in general) is not very wheelchair friendly, and nearby parking was not so easy. but this is not the hotels fault. they were great!

Perfect location in the centre, tucked away and quiet, a very local feel, very well maintained, aircondition worked well, wifi also very good (I was doing some work), exceptional staff Tzvetan and Veli at reception, very helpful and friendly, very good breakfast buffet also, the staff at breakfast are very hard working and attentive. I will return.

The restaurant at the hotel is outsourced to another company and although it is lovely with its courtyard and the food was very good, the staff were less friendly, one waitress almost rude while I was paying the bill. A big contrast from the service received in the hotel.

I was there for a very short time but I had a special request for a taxi to the airport at 4:30am that was fulfilled nicely. I tried a light yoghurt meal and smoked my pipe in the smoking area, which was all fantastic, before going to see the Archaeological museum which they gave me directions for. The shower, towels, and hairdryer were lovely to use.

Whilst I was sleeping, the soap dispenser fell off the wall and into the sink. It was stuck to the wall using a few sticky tabs. It didn't bother me since my stay was extremely short and everything else was great. I notified the receptionist as I collected my breakfast before I left with the taxi. I hope they have it fixed soon.

Excellent location in town centre yet very quiet! Easy access to the National Palace of Culture, Vitoshka street and the metro station. We had an apartment which was exceptionally clean, with tea & coffee facilities, mini bar, and a really comfortable bed. Nice coffee and a great variety of foods at breakfast, including a tasty Bulgarian "French toast" . Staff were professional and friendly. This is the second time we stayed at hotel Niky; we enjoyed it and will definitely book again.

We arrived in a rented car which we had been using to travel around the country and returned after dropping our luggage at the hotel. A slight inconvenience was that there was no dedicated parking space for us to stop and unload our luggage.

Good, basic 1 bed suite with comfortable bed and the minimum facilities we needed. It was nothing fancy but was very quiet, clean, comfortable and cool, so exceeded all our needs. It was nice to have a little more room to spread out and relax in, after several weeks of pretty tiny hotel rooms. Staff were very helpful, the included breakfast gave us fuel for long days of sightseeing, and the location was good, a short walk to most of the places we wanted to go. The area was interesting, with a lot of restaurants, bars, shops and interesting buildings and parks. It felt safe and we had no issues or problems. The hotel organised airport transfers and all was smooth and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Small disappointment that the restaurant at the hotel was closed while we were there. We had chosen the hotel partly because it had a garden restaurant, which sounded nice during the summer. Unfortunately, it was closed (except for breakfast).
