Loud as building is old and doesnt block out guest “loud” noises from other rooms or hallway as guests come home late, go on early tours/ airport and arent always quiet about it. Also, bar noise on weekend noted in my room on 3rd floor til 2300 ….(2230 blow horn maybe unnecessary for two nights). No tv in rooms as advertised, all removed. No shampoo provided in private rooms, little satchet for price point would be nice. Plugs in odd spots to reach. The free walking tour is at plaza d arms not hostel

This was voted the best hostel in South America in 2024, and for good reason. It seems to be quite huge with several wings, but has a cosy, intimate feel. Plenty of friendly staff available around the clock and plenty of in-house activities organized for guests. Though the parties are pretty loud and raucous, they close down by 11pm, and the hostel is quiet at night. I was given a different double/triple room for each of my 3 stays. Everything was very clean and functional. Rooms are warm even though it was subzero outside. Beds and pillows are comfortable and towels are thick and fluffy. Huge lockers are available free of charge for guests, and we may temporarily leave luggage there for a few days after checkout for 2$ per day. Laundry is available, but I didnt use it. Fast and stable wifi. Strategically located between Bellavista, Barrio Italia and the Historic Center and walkable to all of them.

Though the front desk is open 24/7, the kitchen closes for the night. This is problematic when arriving on a late flight and all the shops are also closed at that time. The front desk stocks some snacks and drinks which you can buy, but they can be sold out by the night. That particular night, the vending machine was also not working, so be prepared with at least drinking water when arriving after 11pm. In rooms on higher floors, the shower takes ages to heat up, but eventually gets there.

Such a good hostel, one of the better ones we’ve stayed in. A huge place with loads of people buzzing around. One of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in. So many nice spaces to chill out. Friendly staff! We weren’t taking a night bus until 10pm the day we checked out and we were accommodated all day and allowed use to the kitchen, showers and common areas, rated this so much!

As expected in most of Chile, if you are paying by card or with Chilean pesos you will be charged an extra 19% tax on top of the price on booking.com. I forgot about those so was a little frustrating! There is a way around this by paying in dollars!

Good spacious hostel, I was so busy during my time in Santiago I did not to explore the hotels full facilities. I booked this to utilise the bar then never had time. The breakfast is great value for money. The hostel is clean. I stayed in a private room which had a decent amount of space compared to others in Chile. Staff are helpful and friendly

The kitchen is locked over night and does to open until 7am. Day trips in Santiago leave early so it would be good to unlock the kitchen an hour earlier to allow those leaving early to have breakfast

Easy location , good breakfast and everything is clean .

Children are allowed to stay in the hostel. I don’t think hostels are appropriated to children .

Close to metro station and within walking distance to Bellas Artes museum and Patio Bella Vista restaurants and shopping. Was great to have tour options, in-house bar and pizza night. Breakfast staff were very nice and there was a good enough range of breakfast items for me.

Room had a "funny" smell. Courtyard area is also a smoking area - not so good for non-smokers. The hostel is located in a cul-de-sac which may feel a little unsafe at night. There was a park nearby that had homeless people - just something to be aware of, not saying they would pose a problem.

This is a really nice place to stay in Santiago! The staff is very helpful, beds are comfortable, showers are good and clean, there's a nice big breakfast (bread, selection of jams, yoghurt, cereals, juice, fresh fruit and one morning I got eggs end the other one a pancake). They even made my bed every day! There's a lot of common areas if you want to socialize, including a gym! The location is good too, it's close to the metro, restaurants and lots of parks. Also just a short walk to the center. I would definitely come back here!

We arrived early after an overnight bus and they allowed us to check in right away! This was a blessing. Great sized room, plenty of space, comfortable bed and good bathroom. The common areas are awesome, really cool vibe and great for meeting people. The hostal hosts multiple events each day and has typical foods for sale each night also. The staff were amazing and they also had a quick and easy laundry service. There was also a gym area which we used!

Here is a hostel that loves being a hostel. It has everything, from free coffee, purchasable breakfast for all dietary requirements, laundry, lockers, two kitchens, and an active social area. It's a massive building with a welcoming historic aesthetic. Because of its size, the rooms are well spaced apart, so you can escape the noise and sleep well. But if you want to party, join their massive pub crawl, which starts on the grounds. It gets wild. There are also infinite toilets and showers; if one is occupied, walk a few more steps to find another one. The working areas were perfect. I can count on one hand how many hostels I've rated 10/10, but this one deserves it. It's up there with the best hostels I've ever stayed in.

The only failure was when the wifi hardly worked in my room. At times, it was unusable. A big letdown. The kitchen needs more bowls!

Very friendly, chilled and helpful staff. They organize different activities each day - definitely worth trying. I really liked the room, it was cozy and clean. The space was well-organised because each bed had its own assigned locker and towel hanger. Many bathrooms with showers so it wasn't busy. Awesome shared spaces, including some relax space, working space and food space. The localization was great and safe, really close to the metro station.
