BHB Hotel Boutique is an excellent place to stay in the center of Santiago. We had a large room with a huge balcony overlooking a park and San Cristóbal Hill. The room itself is quite large, and so is the bathroom. Most importantly, the room is so clean, and housekeeping will clean the room/change towels whenever you request it. Breakfast was also quite nice. This area of the city is very cool with lots of restaurants/cafés/handicrafts market and easy walking access to most places you want to visit in Santiago. The area is also very well-lit at night, we felt safe the whole time.

Nothing, it was great for us!

The location was really good. It is in a central area close to the safer areas of the city that I felt comfortable walking to and around. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The view from my room was pretty amazing and my room was really spacious and well appointed. The linens were good and pillows great. I slept well here. Oh, and the spa bath, I used it every night. The assistance I got from BHB getting to and from the airport was great and in hindsight I’d have been lost without it. As a solo female traveller I felt safe in and cared for at this hotel.

It’s not a didn’t like, just a note. The room cleaning was something that I had to “opt into” via a WhatsApp message each day. I don't want to be looking at my phone when I am on holiday. I’m a bit of an outlier in that though I guess and it was a nothing I could not have addressed with a conversation.

Great little hotel in a terrific location for exploring Santiago's main tourist spots on foot. Easy walk to funicular, Bellavista, Santa Lucia, fish market, museums, & more. Staff were super helpful & friendly. Breakfast was very nice & included freshly made scrambled eggs if wanted. They also provided Gluten Free bread, which I really appreciated. The room whilst small was comfortable & very clean. Was surprised by how quiet it was at night given not far from a major road. Would recommend.

The bathroom needed a bit more ventilation- towels got smelly pretty quickly.

This hotel was in a great location - walkable to BellaVista restaurants and bars, Cerro San Cristobal Funicular, Lastarria Barrio and downtown Plaza de Armas. The room was comfortable, clean and relatively quiet considering it’s in a city. 2 fresh bottles of water were provided daily and a small bottle of wine was in the room on arrival - a nice touch. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Although breakfast was ok it would be improved if milk (to go with the cereals), butter and jam (to go with the toast) were placed on the buffet. These items were available but you had to ask the staff to get them which is unusual compared to all other hotels that I have ever stayed in. Also, as tea drinkers, the hot water provided in the thermos jug wasn’t really hot enough for us. Again, I’m sure if we’d have asked for freshly boiled water it would be provided, as the staff did seem to really want to help, but we didn’t want to keep asking for things.

I have celiac disease and the hotel was able to accomodate my needs quite well regarding breakfast (I had informed them of my restriction upon booking the room). Also, the front desk crew (especially Fran) was really really helpful and a pleasure to talk to! The hotel is within walking distance of the Baquedano subway station, a few bus stops and the historical centre, which made navigating the city easier.

I guess the breakfast buffet could have more options and the pillows could be better. But this things don't take away from the experience, which was overall very good!

I really liked my stay at BHB Boutique Hotel—so much so that I chose to stay here again. The rooms are no-frills but have everything you need: comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. Breakfast is decent—simple but satisfying. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the incredible team, especially Daniel. He’s a quiet powerhouse—professional, efficient, and always on top of things. Honestly, I returned here because of Daniel. He brings a calm confidence that makes everything run smoothly, and it’s rare to come across someone so quietly effective. The rest of the team is also wonderful—Fran, Loris, and Valentina are warm, friendly, and always happy to help. Location-wise, it’s a winner: close to the metro and within walking distance to the vibrant Lastarria area. If you’re up for a longer walk, Barrio Italia is about 30 minutes away and worth exploring. This isn’t a flashy hotel—but it doesn’t need to be. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel looked after, thanks to the people behind it. Highly recommend.

Great location. You can walk to downtown. Near a busy street but the rooms are very well insulated, so it was very quiet. Our room was spacious and clean. However, bed was a bit hard for my taste.

Receptionist was less than attentive/friendly. Barely looked at us when checking us in or answering questions. It felt like we were bothering him by taking him away from whatever he was doing on the computer. Definitely needs some training in dealing with guests. Breakfast was very basic. Our first morning there we had to get the coffee machine going and the coffee was gone pretty fast since the machine had a small pot. Second morning there was no coffee left and the receptionist took his time to get another one going. There was no sign indicating that eggs, creamer, and yogurt was available upon request. Luckily we saw another guest being served those things so we asked for them also.

Historic building in excellent location High quality finish inside Thoughtfully designed , well appointed and spacious rooms with a lot of natural light Excellent staff- Dominique, Daniel and Leona were charming and oh so helpful and knowledgeable The hotel had my favourite feature- bedroon doors which actually shut quietly so you can have a peaceful night's sleep The modern television enabled you to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime and You Tube through your account At breakfast time scrambled eggs were freshly prepared and served with high quality Chilean bread which is an important feature for me Good value for money

Nothing that would affect my rating but another important feature for me is a capuccino/ flat white so think the hotel should consider investing in an expresso machine for fussy customers like me

The staff really go the extra mile to make sure you feel well taken care of. Daniel was exceptional! He arranged my airport pick-up request, and once I arrived gave me a detailed explanation of how everything worked from the purpose of the PDI receipt they give you at customs to which restaurant/areas I should go to. He also let me practice unlocking the front door before I left for dinner as I would be coming back late after reception hours and wanted to make sure I could get in on my own. My room was fabulous! It was on the 4th floor so it was great that they do have an elevator as not all boutique accommodations in the city have one. I booked a balcony room and loved sitting on the patio chairs enjoying my coffee from the Nespresso machine they provide—awesome touch! There was also a half bottle of wine as a welcome gift and the fridge comes stocked with two bottled waters. Breakfast was also wonderful! They served eggs made to order with an array of bread, meats, cheese and fruit including some deliciously fresh cherries. I felt so at home here I didn’t want to leave!

Honestly, it was all good. Great location, nice room and impeccable service.

Good location for a short stay as it is a walking distance to the city center and very close to a street with lots of bars and restaurants in it. For a longer stay (more than 3 days) it would be better to go to the East area of the city as the city center is very empty, especially at the weekends. During our walking tour, a guide explained us that everyone are moving to the East where more buzz is now. But for a short stay this accommodation is good as it is well connected with some sightseeing locations.

Breakfast options are not very good and very basic.
