Our room size (quadrapule) was excellent. It didn't feel cramped at all contrary to our expectations! The staff at the reception desk both at time of checking in (Khang) and at time of checking out (Soṅa) were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were kind enough to get us an earlier check in as well as a later check out. The housekeeping lady on the 6th floor - sorry didn't get her name, was also very sweet to us. The complimentary gifts and the welcome drink were very much appreciated. Very thoughtful of the hotel management. The access to the hotel is very convenient. The metro station of Krizhikova is bang next door and the tram stop of the same name is right around the corner. So location wise - absolutely no complaints there. There are a number of small eateries and a grocery store (Billa) within a few hundred metres for essentials you may want to purchase. FYI, water from the tap is drinkable. Breakfast had a lot of options so I'm sure everyone will find something to their liking.

The bathroom needs a few more hooks to hang wet towels as that can be a problem with 4 people using the shower and therefore using 4 towels. I also think that the bathtub could use some kind of a small railing to help when getting out of it especially for older people.

Staff was very friendly and we even got a welcome gift (voucher for mulled wine as well as a bottle of wine in our room) as well as the Prague Pass. Breakfast was good, varied each day and had all the necessary food and even cake. For us, the location was perfect. 10min by foot from the bus station, groceries and bars close by and city centre and castle in walking distance (we are used to walk a lot though). Otherwise, tram station only a few steps from the hotel. For a 3 day city trip it suited our needs perfectly.

The shower hook was loose, so the shower head didn't stick to it. And the escalator is tiny, so especially with luggage quite interesting to get into it.

I travel a lot to Prague for work, and this was a very pleasant surprise. Great stay, great value for money, very nice staff. The room was nice, with a lot of attention to detail, and a comfy bed. I slept really well which is not often the case. The breakfast was good, rare at the price. The location was fantastic, both for my work, but also due to being next to the metro, and with a lot of restaurants and nightlife all around. Staff were really friendly and helpful - I hope their manager is reading this!

The building is nothing special, and the lift old, but considering everything else was great, who cares. I had to run the water for a bit in the bath to get it to run clear. Probably old pipes but you might want to get housekeeping to run the water briefly between stays, or check your plumbing.

- breakfast is until 11:00, while in most hotels it's until 10:00. It's much better for people who don't get up early and I wish it were like this in other hotels too - tasty interesting breakfast, some products change daily - location was good for me - toilet is a separate room, but you should go through shower to reach it, so in some families people can use toilet every if shower is occupied - metro and tram stops

- noisy street, if windows are open we can hear people later night and early morning - bed were very creaky - there were some noises from time to time, even in the night - they left a bottle of wine as a compliment for 10 star review. On one hand, they just give you a wine with no obligations which is good, but in other hand, extremely good rating here can be inflated by such reviews

The staff was excellent—very caring and helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean. Good breakfast The hotel is very well-located, with easy connections to other parts of the city via metro and tram. There are great restaurants nearby offering all types of cuisines. The area has lovely walking spots for evening strolls. Plenty of parking space is available, and the hotel arranges parking in advance (just share your car number plate details). Parking is free of charge for the duration of your stay. The hotel provides tourist cards, which offer discounts for some popular attractions in Prague.

The restaurant could be a bit more spacious as it can get crowded at times. The elevator is small and sometimes there is a bit of a wait.

Great value for comfort and money! Definitely recommend staying if outdated decor isn't an issue! The building seems to be from soviet era which gives it a bit of nostalgic touch as being part of Soviet Union is part of Czech Republic's history. Hotel was very clean, breakfast was delicious and staff was very attentive and polite. Metro station and tram stop just few steps away, grocery stores, restaurants all within short walking distance. Very close to city center. Me and my daughter had a great time staying there on our weekend city break. When I made the reservation months ahead I had written that we are coming to see G-Eazy on his world tour. I was very pleasently surprised the night of the concert when I heard G-Eazy songs playing in the lobby. Such a nice little gesture that melted my heart! If anyone else is traveling to see any artist performing at Forum Karlin then this is the place to stay - it's literally 5 minutes walk from the arena. I would also like to point out the hotel's responsiveness as we arrived earlier than our initial check in time - they had the room ready and didn't charge anything extra. They also offered free welcoming drink and upon check out we were gifted discount voucher for future accomodation and water bottles for our travel back. 100% recommended!

We had an incredible two-night stay at Charles Central Hotel, and we can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The reception desk welcomed us warmly with a delicious hot punch and provided detailed information about our stay. Our room was thoughtfully prepared, with small gifts like fresh fruit, cookies, and even a bottle of wine personally delivered to us. These thoughtful touches made us feel truly special. The breakfast was fantastic—colorful and varied, with plenty of options to suit every taste. A special thank you to Viki and Eduard, who made our daughter’s birthday unforgettable. They surprised her with a cake, a candle, and a heartfelt birthday song. To top it off, they brought us two glasses of champagne to celebrate with her. Additionally, we were deeply touched to find a card in the room with best wishes for her, signed by the hotel manager. These personal touches and attention to detail made our stay truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Charles Central Hotel to anyone visiting Prague!

Enjoyable stay and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Lots of lovely complementary gifts and food. Breakfast was great. Would happily stay again but would ensure to request bottom floor.

We were put up on the 5th floor with a baby and the lift is very small and only just fit the pram in. But there are stairs to the lift so always needed two people to get in and out of the hotel. Beds were average comfy and the shower head was either broken or poorly placed as it wasn’t able to adjust and was directly going into my face.

Location is really good, close to public transportation. There are many restaurant options close to hotel. You can walk to city centre (30 minutes). Hotel stuff were amazing, they are friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite large and well enough for family.

I would complain only elevator. It is quite small therefore our stroller did not fit in. We had to fold it to go to room. But after all, reception stuff informed us that we can leave stroller at the entrance. We did and that was good, they keep stroller very good and you can leave your stuff without any security risk.

- location is great - Metro entrance is in front of the hotel door - proximity of the restaurants and other shops - friendly stuff - room is spacious and clean. - they tidy up the room every day - free parking on the street - entrance and welcome dring to the Panarama terrace - bottle of vine - value for the money is good

- outdated hotel (but not an issue for us) - no Aircondition - if there is warmer weather can be a tie breaker - chairs in the dinning room are dirty - if your room is towards the main street you are woken up every day at 5:20 by lorries and garbage trucks.
