This small privately owned Hotel in the heart of old town Prague is delightful in every way. The fifth generation owners have ensured that no detail is overlooked and that every guest is taken care of by a team of well trained hospitality professionals. This hidden gem offers facilities not often found in other Hotels such as a comfortable lounge and a beautiful outdoor patio for the complete convenience of its guests. A very generous hot and cold buffet breakfast is included in the room rate and available from 7.00am daily. Thoughtful touches including a complimentary coffee station available 24/7 and wine tasting every evening are just a couple of features. The air conditioned bedrooms are small but comfortable and include all necessary amenities with endless hot water available in the modern bathrooms. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Hastal to anyone visiting this magnificent city.

The bar in the evening was a disappointment. No draft beer, no charging to the room, cash only.

So beautiful, elegant, yet affordable perfectly located hotel! I left the window open a crack and was awaken by - not garbage trucks . . . not the sun . . . Not birds singing, but the smell of fresh baked bread. Heavenly.

Small and cozy family-owned hotel. We prefer these small local hotels over the large chain hotels that are the same everywhere you go. The hotel staff is the most helpful and polite staff I’ve seen in any hotel. It really shows that they are striving for the best guest experience. Free wine, coffee and snacks were super nice addition. Breakfast was good. Bummer that the plates were exceptionally small.

Pillows were too big for our taste. They sure look great, but aren’t comfortable in our opinion. The lock to the bathroom didn’t work and cleaner forgot to empty the refridgerator from previous guest’s half-empty iced tea bottle. All-in-all these were very minor defects.

Such a wonderful hotel! Staff were so welcoming and helpful. The bar was an amazing place to spend an evening, especially when travelling alone so you don't need to walk back from somewhere by yourself late at night. The library was one of my favourite parts, such a cosy environment to read a book in with a free hor chocolate. Rooms were equally cosy and very comfortable. I loved how the entire place felt and thought it was decorated beautifully!

It might be a bit nitpicky but the only downside I thought of was that the plug sockets aren't positioned amazingly in the room, but that could have just been in mine.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, making it very easy to reach from the station. The atmosphere is cozy, and the interior is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. One of the highlights is the small coffee bar, where you can grab a coffee at any time of the day or night. There’s also a lovely lounge area where you can sit and enjoy your drink, so you don’t have to stay in your room alone.

The breakfast had a large selection, which was great, but I think it could be even better with a slightly smaller variety and a greater focus on quality. A more refined selection of high-quality items would make the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, still a good start to the day!

Great location, and cool family history of the hotel. It definitely brings you back in time with the decor. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and they left a welcome spirit in the room. Breakfast had lots of options in the buffet.

There was a slight smell in the room, not super bothersome but definitely notable on entering. The other issue was you can't use the AC unless they turn it on downstairs, which we weren't able to do. Luckily the window opens and lets in good fresh air which helped with both problems.

I stayed at Hotel Hastal for two nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a beautiful, slightly retro charm that gives it a unique and romantic atmosphere. Its location is exceptional—right in the center of the Old Town, within walking distance of all the main attractions. You can easily explore the entire city on foot from here. The reception staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Everything was clean and cozy, and the overall ambiance was both elegant and inviting. I highly recommend Hotel Hastal for anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable stay in Prague!

The location of this hotel is really convenient. I walked everywhere I wanted to with minimal effort, and yet the street itself was nice and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a great assortment of fresh foods and beverages. The staff at the front desk were all helpful and went above and beyond for me on several occasions, helping me book dinner reservations as well as helping me coordinate a walking tour of the city.

The only thing I could comment on, which sounds funny in the winter, but my room was extremely warm! I turned down the heat and the radiator, but still my room was very very warm. I solved it by cracking my window open just a little bit.

For a traditional Czech stay this hotel really ticks all the boxes. The room was very comfortable with an amazing shower and unlimited hot water. The reception staff were very informative and customer service was amazing. Breakfast was really good too, with a mix of hot and cold buffet, with hot and cold drinks. Tea, coffee and wine available to help yourself in reception throughout the day! The hotel and facilities were spotless. Do not come here for fancy modern facilities as this place oozes tradition and serves every purpose. It’s also close to the river and the main attractions. 100% stay here again.
