The hotel's location is great, right in the city center but on a quiet street. My room was big, the bed comfy, and the bathroom good. But the weird part was the windows. Two faced the corridor, and a small one looked out onto the courtyard. It was hard to know the time of the day or weather. Some might like the totally quiet, but it felt a bit scared to me ). The room was very stuffy, even with all the heating off. It was too warm and lacked fresh air. After a long journey, we have a dine at the hotel's bistro, and it was really good! The food was flavorful, prices reasonable, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and the service during breakfast was excellent.

Unfortunately, my friend had a very unpleasant experience with the rooms. Even though we booked the same rooms for all three of us, one friend received accommodation that was not to the promised 4 star standard. The room was very small and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. It is curious that we could not find any photos of this room either on Booking.com or on the hotel website. It was not possible to resolve the issue on the spot. We didn’t even hear “Sorry” at the reception when a friend expressed her complaints. We sincerely hope she receives appropriate compensation as that would be fair given the difference in room quality.

Upon arriving at the train station, Ben, the front desk clerk, helped us locate the property after we took a wrong turn. Even though it was late, the kitchen accommodated us with a delicious pumpkin soup and bread. The room was large, clean and quiet. During our stay and upon leaving, the front desk personnel were very helpful booking taxis. The breakfast layout was excellent and we ate two dinner meals in the restaurant and they were good. Enjoyed the stay.

Breakfast was great. Room was spacious. Location worked for us well. Artwork was interesting. Bistro was good. Architecture was very intriguing. We requested the history but didn’t get the detail.

Pets were very loud barking early. Owner did not muzzle his dog. 🤨 Shower leaked. Bathroom lacked wash clothes. Elevator missing but the young man took our bags up so he was great.

Great location - about 6 mins walking to the Old Town Square, about 8 mins to bus/tram stop which it can take you to / from airport. If you have flight early morning - there was night bus directly taken you to airport. My room was clean and enough compfy for two people. However, it was located between the stairs and the cleaners' storeroom so it was quite noisy in the morning. Breakfast was good and served between 8:00-10:00 during week, and a bit longer at weekend. Lovely and friendly staff.

The location was truly special. One really felt immersed in the culture. It felt very cosy and welcoming and we loved coming back to our hotel room to relax in the evening. The breakfast was really lovely in the morning too with lots of options. It really felt like we had found a special space. It's set back a little from the street so felt quiet and peaceful. Very easy to get to and from the airport via public transport.

There was honestly nothing negative. The only thing was it would have been nice to have some hooks in the room to hang towels/coats. This is me being very picky and it is a very little thing: it absolutely did not affect our experience or my rating of it.

The breakfast was great, with lots of different options. I especially liked the beetroot and walnut salad and I was disappointed the one morning it wasn’t available. The staff were all great and really helpful ordering taxis and giving tips for the city. The courtyard and the bistro are wonderful and the food and drinks are top quality.

The only thing I would improve is the tv’s in the rooms are slightly dated and didn’t have very good reception. Everything else was perfect.

Hotel was full of character, a very interesting building. Room was very clean. Also spacious and very quiet considering it was in town. And there was a kettle!! Bed was large and very comfy Location was perfect for walking into town or to the riverside which was delightful. Buffet breakfast was very good. Excellent selection

No bracket for the shower head which was attached to the bath so it was difficult to have a shower. When you did the water went all over the bathroom.

I loved everything about my stay here. I booked very last minute and was worried about where to stay as I was travelling alone. I'm so glad I chose Monastery Garden! The staff were super friendly and helpful, my room was really comfy and tastefully decorated with lots of space. The street outside is quiet and the area felt really safe as a lone traveller and is very central and within easy walking distance of so many attractions in the city. It's a very relaxing environment which was perfect as I'd just come from a busy group setting. I needed to store my baggage before checking in which was no problem and secure and the taxi for me to get to the airport was professional and good value. The food in the bistro was delicious and very good value too! Highly recommend.

I occasionally heard people coming up the stairs next to my room but it didn't bother me at all. It was only noticeable because I was otherwise silent in the room.

The building is beautiful, and the bar and view from the windows were very nice, we got the junior suite and the room was quite big. The location is perfect, next to the mall, but very quiet, I didn't hear any noise, while we were a few minutes away from the palladium and other streets full of activities. The breakfast was ok, not very fancy, also rather same food every day, but I didn't expect too much. Stuff is super friendly, helped us a lot.

The room was big, but not very comfortable it didn't have chairs or coaches so I couldn't sit and read a book next to the bed. The water pressure in the bathroom was feeble, also it didn't have a kettle, it's kinda a big thing for me, but we asked for one and stuff brought us one.
