The room is nicer and more comfortable than I imagined. It is simple but has a comfortable bed and it is well thought to bring (it has a table and a reading lamp and a desk also with a warm lamp). A sofa in the corner, a comfortable closet (a long mirror around) and bright bathroom with powerful shower and beautiful view (especially the wide perspective of the sky, a wall of a graffitied property, which gives that artistic touch but with privacy and trees). I loved watching the birds fly by, as it is located on the fifth floor.

I didn't like very much (although I adapted) the fact that it doesn't have a small refrigerator (and in my case, I had some food and juices to keep in the room and I wasn't allowed to keep at least in some common refrigerator in the hotel). I also didn't like the first two nights a lot of noise in the adjoining rooms (but this was not a problem of the hotel but of a large group of students who stayed just on those nights, and the instructor was knocking excessively loudly on the doors very early in the morning).

I would stay again here if I need it in a future and I will recommend it to people that comes to Berlin. Shared room very spacious compare to others hostels, it had 2 bathrooms, very clean and the bed was very comfortable and a beautiful view of the Berlin night's life. The location also was perfect, near to buses and subway to arrive quick to the center, several places to eat. It's an area where some streets have atmosphere, cars, and so it can be a bit noisy but I had no problem to sleep. Quality-price was perfect, staff really kind and friendly. The best hostel that I've been, I didn't expect that was like that, thank you very much!

Rooms were lovely, beds were comfortable and the room was spacious enough, so even though we were 8 people in the room, we didn't feel crammed. Location of the hostel is right next to metro station and quite close to center of Berlin as well as Sudkreuz (only 15 min away), where you can catch trains and busses to Czech Republic :D

There was a constant noise from the street, the most disturbing were sirens of ambulances, that could be heard very frequently. I recommend bringing some earplugs in case if you're a light sleeper. As long as the windows are closed, it's a lot more bearable :) Breakfast was nice, however I feel it is quite expensive (12 eur).

Grand Hostel Berlin Urban offers a great mix of comfort, location, and value. The room was clean and spacious for a hostel, with a comfortable bed and a nice view over the city. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with tips for getting around Berlin. The location is excellent — right next to a U-Bahn station, making it easy to reach all parts of the city. There are also many restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets nearby. A great choice for budget-conscious travelers who still want a comfortable and well-located stay in Berlin.

It was a very simple place, very comfortable, but my room, including the bathroom, was incredibly clean. Nice place to stay for a couple of days. In general, all the amazing staff were very helpful and friendly 😀

I just have a recommendation about the breakfast. It's quite expensive without options. For example, I couldn't have scrambled eggs or omelette. Perhaps if you can offer more choices 😉 Also, if it's possible to have a coffee machine or kettle during the day for guests, it will be great. Shampoo and hand soap are very low quality.

Well located on tube line from airport. Easy access to Mitte. Lively area with great choice of restaurants and shops, including a McDonalds. Room simple and very clean. Breakfast at an additional cost. Excellent variety. Very clean. Good service. Supplied with adaptor to charge my phone upon request. Warm greeting with complimentary refreshment upon arrival, and given route plan for the two venues I would be visiting. I was also given an excellent recommendation for a local restaurant and street food venues.

No complaints or disappointments

Literally the chillest vibe ever. I am solo interraiiling with discovereu and all the staff were the nicest people ever. Everyone in my room was so nice, I even made a few friends. Everyone was just really welcoming and the whole vibe was just comfortable! Location is good a little out of mitte but it’s a 30 second walk to a subway station so it was literally fine. Bathrooms were lovely! (i’m sensitive abt bathrooms but the hygiene here was top tier and they really do clean everywhere every day!) they also weren’t overpricing stuff like they sell drinks, padlocks, adapters etc everything you need at reception and for a good price! There is also a 24/7 small convenience shop and a 24/7 kebab shop literally opposite from the hostel and i recommend both, the kebab is deadly after a night out🙌🏾 i also used their laundry service, and they wash and dry a basket of clothes for €9.80 which is an alright price imo :)

NOTHING THEY WERE ALL LOVELY

The receptionists were so kind and "naturally" friendly [no boring official language]👍🏻 the breakfast is so so good 👍🏻there is also a really nice View from the Breakfast -room on the sixth floor! The lobby and the small bar are also so comfortable. Fast Internet.The location is the best ever, easy to get to everywhere (Metro station just down Stairs).So many delicious foods & sweets restaurants and bars 24 \ 7 in the streets nearby. For this experience I am satisfied.

It was my first time staying in hostel, only hotels before. Therefore, I had a lot of questions, but the staff was very patient. During 5 days stay, reception and breakfast service team changed several times, but all of them absolutely pleasant and helping. Perfect location, U7 and U8 lines right next door, distance to the airport about 45 minutes, nice simple breakfast, kebab shop on the other side of the street. Will repeat that experience next time.

dormitory with 8 beds has only one shower - furtunately, that was not the problem this time, because all of us living in the room had different morning/evening plans, but if company of 4-5 people comes together and has same plans, than one shower is not enough. also, doors of the shower cabin do not close tightly, always the water on the floor and wet door mat, that is not changed every day.

I've stayed in a 4 bed room and I found it very comfortable and clean. The fact that we had our private and clean bathroom for the room made the experience much better. The staff who received me on the day I arrived was very nice. The location is good since it's close to a metro station and several buses stops where you quickly can reach the city center. It's also next to a McDonald's and a noodles shop where you can grab something to eat if you arrived at a later hour. The other guests I encounter were also friendly which made me feel more safe.

The only thing I would add is curtains on the bed sides in order to give us more privacy and block the light from the windows and from the bed lights from other room mates.
