Everything about the hotel that was available - room, breakfast, staff, cleanliness and the way they made us welcome and feel at home was excellent, other than my comments re parking and restaurant as below. Although it was a little way out from the Old Square, it was still well situated with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, local transport to hand and only a short easy walk to the main tourist areas. I must make special mention of Arina on reception, she was fantastic and was able to advise us on every aspect of Prague and making the most of our stay.

I have 'ticked' the hotel didn't meet my expectations box because, and only because of, the below. I would still recommend a stay there, particularly if you are not driving. The hotel was advertised as having a bar and a restaurant/café but had neither. A bar, or café at least, would have been very welcome after the long drive there. Although the hotel had a car park it wasn't accessible from the hotel, you had to leave the hotel and walk along 2 streets to get to it. Made unloading/loading time consuming and a bit of a pain as we had to make a number of trips to complete both. Also, the hotel only had two keycards to open the gates to the parking, so you had to hand it in and out each time you wanted access to your car. I understand this is down to the company that runs the parking.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff at the Hotel Merkur Prague! 😊We were warmly welcomed and looked after very well! 😊The day of our arrival was hot and the staff on Sunday 6th of July 2025. late afternoon went above and beyond to cool us down, we were offered water, cold drinks and to sit in the lounge and have treats before going up to our room! Our family room was cosy, we had a bathroom and a separate toilet, enough beds for 4 of us ( double plus two single). The location of the hotel is great, 15 minutes walking distance to The Old Town Square, the tram station is in the front of the hotel and tram 12- for the Castle and 14 - for Vyšehrad stop there. We really had a wonderful time!😊 Breakfast is excellent, they have a huge selection of everything! 😊Thank you very much! 😊

The Front Desk agent during check out, Anel, was extremely nice! I also enjoyed the breakfast, the staff was kind and helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful even at the end of it. A shout out to the housekeeping crew as well!

The property had exceptional staff that provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Great location with close proximity to beautiful cathedrals and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was slightly hot in the room at night due to lack of air conditioning.

Location next to tram stop, less than 4km from centre of Prague with good secure car parking. On arrival, at around midday, the young Lady on the Reception Desk gave us the warmest of welcomes. Check-in was easy and the room was clean, well appointed and offered a welcoming complimentary bottle of red wine, as well as a mini bar. We were given a pass to a ground floor lounge area that was stocked with a wide range of fresh snacks, coffee, tea and alcoholic/ non alcoholic drinks. We were told that this facility was free of charge and that we could use it from 1-00pm to 10-00pm that day. We ate a light lunch in the lounge before setting off on our very enjoyable day tour of Prague. Breakfast offered a wide choice of hot and cold food and was very enjoyable. On checking out. We were given a voucher for a 20€ discount on our next stay at one of the hotels in the same group as the Hotel Merkur, valid for 12 months. We were also given a fridge magnet of a Prague scene and a bottle of Prosecco. This hotel provided us with a great value for money enjoyable experience and the staff were absolutely wonderful in every aspect of their warm and friendly customer care. The staff certainly went well beyond the extra mile and are a credit to their employer🎖️👍

We liked everything. The room was very clean, the bathroom was very clean. The welcoming was very good. Anel the receptionist was extraordinary , she helped us a lot . She was very kind and her smile made us everyday beautiful. She was very helpfull and willing to give us informations and answer every question.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming, everything was clean and comfortable. We especially loved how spacious the room and bathroom were. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of both sweet and savoury food, coffee, juice, all good!

The elevator doesn't get you access to every room (the disposition of the building won't allow it) and we had to take more stairs through more corridors to reach ours.

Great location, close to the Old Town. Clean room and very helpful staff: Adil and Arina answered to all our questions about city tours, transportation or accomodation. Also free parking was a plus.

Old furniture, but the clean room made this detail not so important.

Awesome place with amazing staff! Rooms were comfortable and clean, close to the center and great breakfast. We were impressed by the staff, especially Anel at the reception, who was extremely helpful and polite - she made our stay better with her great recommendations. Everyone was friendly. Would be happy to return.

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel location is excellent, close to attractions as well as to the metro station and many public transportation stations, I enjoyed my stay there and recommend it very much.
