We would highly recommend the hotel, which exceeded our expectations. It is located in a quiet part of the beautiful city of Salamanca, but within easy walking distance of the centre. It is spacious and well designed, with well proportioned and comfortable rooms. We appreciated having a small writing table, with two comfortable chairs from which to enjoy a stunning view of the cathedral and surroundings. Noise insulation was good, with good quality curtains. Staff were helpful and welcoming, often going above and beyond role expectations to make us feel at home. The restaurant and bar provided a good service and delicious cuisine.

We arrived to find that our reservation 'had been cancelled', probably by Booking.com. However, this was swiftly rectified, without fuss, and did not mar our stay.

I did not have breakfast at the hotel so no comment. The location was great. Staff very helpful.

I had a booking for 3 nights …the 1st night I heard loud noises above my room which kept me awake past 23hrs. I found out next day my room was below the gym! I was moved to another room which was fine…no noise keeping me awake till after 2300hrs ! Also the fridge in the first room was barely cold. Fridge in other room fine. Going through booking.com I have found the rooms allocated are sometimes of a lower standard than other rooms in the hotel/Air B&B’s.

ABBA Fonseca was spotless and beautifully fragrant. The bar service (Luis) was top notch. Francisco on Reception was charming and helpful. Comfortable beds and lovely room overlooking the impressive Cathedral across the rooftops. Parking was private with door through to hotel. Will certainly be returning.

It was a little hard to find, but worth the search. We parked up nearby and found it on foot, then brought the car round to the hotel garage.

This hotel is in an excellent location for walking to the Plaza Mayor and the historic centre of Salamanca. Our room was very large, and very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

The only thing is that the parking spaces in the hotel’s car park are quite small so it is difficult parking a larger car. Not only are the spaces not very wide, they are also too short for modern cars.

the location, although a little difficult to find, is exceptionally good, just a few steps removed from the cathedral. the room was spacious and beds comfortable, excellent bathroom.. just a really good hotel for a nice price..

there were no downsides to this hotel, maybe the entrance to the garage was a little difficult to find, but we did in the end..

We upgraded our room for a view of the Cathedral and University which really was money well spent. The interior of the hotel is modern, clean and the rooms large with very comfortable beds. Parking is an additional 19 Euros per night which is expensive but worth paying as access is easy and security good. Our stay coincided with the Euros Cup Final and we were made most welcome in the hotel restaurant/bar to watch the match. The tapas served us was excellent.

One of my favorite hotels ever. The location, the room, the staff, the breakfast was simply amazing. You cannot ask for a better place to stay. The room was large, the bathroom was perfect. About a 10 minute walk to the main plaza. In the heart of the city. Just like everywhere else in Spain, the people are sweet and generous.

Breakfast was amazing; many selections ( fruits, veggies, eggs, cold cuts, cheese, sweets, bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, even churros, etc One the departure morning, I asked to make sandwiches for I wouldn't have time to have breakfast there, they made a picnic package for me. Gym is okay, sauna, jacuzzi etc, wonderful amenities..

Restaurant's opening time. Dinner from 8pm is too late, even though that is the custom in Salamanca. I wanted to open the winders of hall way more on the 3rd floor for the fresh air and oder.

Great location close to conference venue and central town, but nice and quiet. Very comfortable room, nice bathroom, good airconditioning and the balcony is in the shade in the afternoons which is important when its 34C outside!

nothing really. I never figured out how to turn on the AC in the gym, but that could just be on me! We would have loved a swimming pool!

Very good breakfast in terms of both variety and quality. Spacious and well appointed room. Excellent location: only a short walk into the heart of the old city, yet room was perfectly quiet at night and I had a splendid, panoramic view of the cathedral and the pontifical university.
