From the moment of arrival, Casa Verardo was a delight and a fabulous find. The location was amazing, easy to find just off a small bustling square with restaurants and bars while only a 5 minute walk to San Marco’s basilica. The room was charming, clean and spacious with excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast could be taken on a lively outside terrace or in the dining room. The staff were delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful with everything from recommendations of where to go and places to eat to booking and escorting us to a water taxi to return to the airport at the end of our stay. The location far exceeded expectations with everywhere in Venice being easily walkable.

Um, there was nothing we didn’t like. I need regular cups of tea so the ability to make tea would have been a plus point but I have learnt the hard way to travel with a kettle! There was a fridge/mini bar in the room.

Everything was perfect, the location 100 m from Piazza San Marco, the rich breakfast, you could serve espresso, cappuccino, American coffee, as many as you wanted. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows, adjustable air conditioning in each room of the apartment - we were accommodated in a room in the building opposite the hotel. Access to the building is by code, and the hotel and the dining room are really very nicely decorated. The rooms are equipped with a coffee machine with Lavazza tablets. The staff was very kind, both at the reception and at breakfast. The ladies who served breakfast made sure that everyone got what they wanted. I recommend this location to those who want a pleasant stay and in an area with restaurants and shops, but also very quiet at night.

I looked at almost every hotel in Venice in their price range and this one, so close to San Marco Square (3min walk) is by far the best you can get at this moment. The classical Italian style of Casa Verardo is awesome! Hotel rooms look beautiful and are clean, same goes for the bathroom. The staff was very polite and helped us with everything. We arrived way too early for check-in to ask if we could store our luggage, the staff went out of their way to check if our appointed room was cleaned and ready, lucky for us this was the case and we got the key right away and they escorted us to our room. Breakfast was very good as well with much variety and delicious things to eat, Here the staff was very nice as well serving coffee to your table and having a lovely chat. After check out we were allowed to store our luggage, bags got labeled and stored. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it's well worth the money.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Been greeted by such friendly and helpful staff started us on a great stay . Nothing I felt was too much for them . The decoration from the door to the garden was stunning . As we exited the lift we were greeted by a beautiful lounge area . The room and bathroom was luxurious. to say the least . I loved the shutters on the window .Everything and every where in the hotel was spotless . We had the breakfast on our first morning and once again exceeded our expectations , been greeted as we entered the room and the display of fresh fruit , pastries , pancakes , yogurts etc was gorgeous . We are so delighted that we happened upon this beautiful amazing hotel at such a give away price . We will definitely be returning . Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful .

Not a single thing

Room was a good size one and quiet. on the quieter side of town

Should have been explicit that the extension of the hotel did not have an elevator. I had to pay extra to get a room in the main building since I needed an elevator to take our suitcases. When making reservations they should be more clear to say the extension wing does not have an elevator so not to be hit with an unanticipated bill. Also, I took coffee from the free breakfast to have in my room and I was charged for a full breakfast. I had to fight to get my money back. Need to be more clear on their policies and also availability of amenities

Our suite was perfectly renovated, insulated and soundproof. We were in a busy area, with people passing all the time, but still the room was silent. Despite Venice smelling like sewage, the room had a very pleasant, fresh and clean smell. Sometimes it was a relief to arrive! Breakfast was great, with many options, and the reception arranged our taxi way in advance. Location was great and we easily reached all the important sites.

They gave us a room in the annex building, with no reception at the door. You turn the key and enter. On one hand, it was great because they upgraded us to a suite and there was a big living room connected to the other rooms, so our family could spend time together while waiting for the whole group. But at the same time, it didn't have the "Residenza feeling" of the other building. At the end, I think it was better to be at the annex because it's newer, but it wasn't what I was expecting when I booked.

The location and how helpful and lovely the hotel staff were .

We wasn’t told when booking that we would be staying in the annex room we was slightly disappointed as we spent many weeks looking at different hotels and wanted to stay there for a reason but nether the less our stay was a dream , really romantic and something I will treasure for the rest of my life .

hotel was much nicer than I was expecting. Beautiful little courtyard garden where you can enjoy a drink or snack. Our room was in the adjacent residence. Beautiful room overlooking canal. breakfast can be taken on a terrace overlooking canal. small choice but beautifully fresh pastries.

Rooms have air conditioning which I would recommend using. We slept with the windows open but this is quite noisy due to nighttime deliveries and pedestrians walking past

Room was very nice...very good service and location

The booking.com notice was wrong and tricky...it said 1 room w double bed 89euros...and when I paid they charged me 3 euros less than advertised and gave me a small room with a single bed...I had to pay an extra 30 euros for the double bed which I paid for...this was wrong, sneaky and false advertisement....also, the room should have a hot water kettle so I don't have to go to reception for hot water...but the room I got was very nice and the employees were very kind and helpful...

Location was incredible! Very peaceful and magical Great terrace too Room smells incredible Amazing welcome by staff - wish I asked for his name! Absolute gentleman, very helpful. Extended the stay.

NOT a bad thing But worth mentioning to anyone with mobility issues there’s a few steps up to little bridge then down to get to the property (we didn’t realise this - maybe it’s already in the description. Worth messaging hotel to see if there’s a way round it - worth the stay!)
