From the moment of arrival, Casa Verardo was a delight and a fabulous find. The location was amazing, easy to find just off a small bustling square with restaurants and bars while only a 5 minute walk to San Marco’s basilica. The room was charming, clean and spacious with excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast could be taken on a lively outside terrace or in the dining room. The staff were delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful with everything from recommendations of where to go and places to eat to booking and escorting us to a water taxi to return to the airport at the end of our stay. The location far exceeded expectations with everywhere in Venice being easily walkable.

Um, there was nothing we didn’t like. I need regular cups of tea so the ability to make tea would have been a plus point but I have learnt the hard way to travel with a kettle! There was a fridge/mini bar in the room.

location fabulous, vibe very Italian! All marble and chandeliers - fabulous. We stayed in the annex, opposite the main hotel - air conditioning was fab, giant marble shower, private terrace and access to a private garden space at the side of the canal. Walking distance to a lovely square with lots of choice of restaurants and the water buses. Everything in Venice is expensive but we felt on balance this hotel offered great value for money. We loved it. The team on reception were exceptional, the best we came across on all our travels in Italy. Also the lovely ladies that manage breakfast were terrific - the choice and presentation were fabulous.

Storage for clothes in the room was limited, but as most people come for 3 or 4 days it is suitable - we were at the start of a longer trip so perhaps had too much 'stuff' with us.

Very clean and comfortable. We had a great canal view from our room. The staff was amazing. They arranged a private water taxi for us (for a fee) both to and from the airport. They picked us up from the taxi stop and carried our bags all the way to our room. They gave us a map on arrival with suggestions on the best things to see in the city. We paid for the breakfast during our stay and it was very good. Eggs, meat, cheese, bread, pancakes, pastries, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, hot coffee, juice. Truly the best hotel breakfast we've ever had. Everything we did was about a 15-30 minute walk. We enjoyed great food and Gelato in the area. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

I love this boutique hotel. The staff is always amazing and they helped us in so many ways. The best way to get to this hotel is to have them arrange transport from the train station or airport via a private water taxi. They also helped us arrange dinner reservations every night as well as a wonderful musical event with three tenors and a strings Orchestra. All of the front desk staff are wonderful and I especially want to thank Ilaria and Federico for going above and beyond. Rest assured I will return next time I am in Venice!

Rooms in Venice can be small so call the staff and book accordingly. Ilaria was able to accommodate my sister with a larger room and my older parents with a walk in shower.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We booked 2 rooms for 5 adults and 1 child (10y/o)--a suite with 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch, and then a room with a full bed. Both were great. En suite bathrooms, AC. The suite is in a separate building from the main hotel, but it is just across the bridge so no big deal. But something to know if booking with a lot of kids and need to coordinate with adults. The staff were wonderful. Included breakfast was great. I would stay here again. Location is great--short walk to St. Mark's but also not immediately adjacent and overrun with foot traffic.

Excellent hotel - the staff were so friendly and helpful and really made you feel at home. The room was comfortable and spotless clean. There were fantastic classic Venetian touches to the room. Brilliant location. Delicious breakfast - would highly reccomend.

The only thing I can think of was that the safety deposit was a physical key instead of a coded lockbox - which meant you had another thing to take care of. However I’m sure reception would likely be happy to hold this whilst you were out - not enough of an issue to take off a mark still 10/10!

Everything was perfect, the location 100 m from Piazza San Marco, the rich breakfast, you could serve espresso, cappuccino, American coffee, as many as you wanted. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows, adjustable air conditioning in each room of the apartment - we were accommodated in a room in the building opposite the hotel. Access to the building is by code, and the hotel and the dining room are really very nicely decorated. The rooms are equipped with a coffee machine with Lavazza tablets. The staff was very kind, both at the reception and at breakfast. The ladies who served breakfast made sure that everyone got what they wanted. I recommend this location to those who want a pleasant stay and in an area with restaurants and shops, but also very quiet at night.

I looked at almost every hotel in Venice in their price range and this one, so close to San Marco Square (3min walk) is by far the best you can get at this moment. The classical Italian style of Casa Verardo is awesome! Hotel rooms look beautiful and are clean, same goes for the bathroom. The staff was very polite and helped us with everything. We arrived way too early for check-in to ask if we could store our luggage, the staff went out of their way to check if our appointed room was cleaned and ready, lucky for us this was the case and we got the key right away and they escorted us to our room. Breakfast was very good as well with much variety and delicious things to eat, Here the staff was very nice as well serving coffee to your table and having a lovely chat. After check out we were allowed to store our luggage, bags got labeled and stored. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it's well worth the money.

The staff were amazing. Helpful, friendly and they really helped me out of a situation where I had to post an item back to Switzerland. Nothing was to much trouble and I am very grateful for the exceptional service they showed me. I could not recommend this place more and I will definitely be back to stay there again. The staff showed me some great ways to get around and see Venice by boat, which was amazing.

The AC was not very good as I was on the 3rd floor in a small room. It is so hot here in Italy at the moment and I think that could be better.

Been greeted by such friendly and helpful staff started us on a great stay . Nothing I felt was too much for them . The decoration from the door to the garden was stunning . As we exited the lift we were greeted by a beautiful lounge area . The room and bathroom was luxurious. to say the least . I loved the shutters on the window .Everything and every where in the hotel was spotless . We had the breakfast on our first morning and once again exceeded our expectations , been greeted as we entered the room and the display of fresh fruit , pastries , pancakes , yogurts etc was gorgeous . We are so delighted that we happened upon this beautiful amazing hotel at such a give away price . We will definitely be returning . Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful .
