The hotel is located near a pedestrian road with many souvenir shops, restaurants, laundrette, and is walking distance (20 minutes) from the biggest attractions like the double deck bridge by the Duoro River. Reception staff are friendly, the rooms had all the modern conveniences of a good hotel and by comparison with others in Portugal, it was superior. and highly functional. Buffet breakfast was good too.

Taxis and Ubers took a long time to get to the front door so we almost missed a tour and also had to leave too early for the airport on the last day. We're unsure if it's the hotel location near a road that becomes pedestrian at certain times of the day, but that was inconvenient.

Less than 10 mins from the Balhoa station which basically has every line connected, making this hotel easy to reach, find and saves a lot of time for few days trip. It is within reach from almost all the tourist attractions, and probably one of the nicest Holiday Inns I have stayed. Really enjoyed their breakfast, the custard cake they provide is probably the nicest one I've had in the city, and better than most cafes! Room size was spacious with an amazing shower, and bathroom facilities. The twin beds were comfortable, and not much noise in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and would highly recommend their great service.

The hotel is great. Its right on the edge of a pedestrianised area with bars, restaurants and shops. Check in was easy, the breakfast had plenty of choice from cereals, meats, cheese, fruit, cakes, pastries, toast, scrambled egg and either sausage or bacon every day. The room was clean with a kettle and tea/coffee but no milk.

It's hard to give any major issues, but I did have to ask for coat hangers as there were only 5, and we were there for 5 days. The team sorted it out straight away. There was no milk for a brew and no fridge to keep any in. Finally, I did choose the hotel for a central location, which it is. However, most of the sightseeing is much further away and down bank. If you want to spend more time in the Riberia District, you are about a 25-30 minute walk and all uphill coming back. That may be hard for some people.

Good hotel, in line with the 3 stars category. Clean, beds are good. Breakfast is OK, both continental and "italian", the brakfast room it's usually crowded from 9:30, so it's better to go earlier. Hotel is full in the weekend, very livable in weekdays. Very easy from Bolhao stop of the metro, direct connection to the airport (line E).

Ask for a quiet room because some rooms have a door comunicating with other rooms it and can be noisy.

Great location on main walking shopping street near metro station. Building is relatively modern. Stuff was professional and helpful. Not very expensive. Breakfast was good, there were pasteles. You can expect ordinary reliable quality of Hoisday Inn.

We didn't pay attention and absence of fridge in room was surprise. Windows were dirty (from rain or soap), we didn't mind but someone could find it very disturbing.

The hotel is relatively new compared to others in the area. Location was perfect, 35 mins on an Uber from the airport, right in the heart of the city. We wanted to explore the city on foot, its position meant that nearly all the landmarks and attractions are well within walking distances (we were trying with children and elderly). The shopping district is only a 5 mins walk, with 2 shopping mall nearby. It’s a holiday inn express so you’d expected to usual standard from the chain. We stayed in the 5th floor for 3 nights, the 2 rooms was good size (a double bed with a sofa bed and a twin room), well equipped (smart tv with casting, a decent hair dryer). Bathroom was big, shower is decent size with high quality finish and very good toiletries available. The staffs were excellent, welcoming and extremely helpful. We asked for recommendations of restaurant nearby and were given lots of choices. At the end we chose Antunes that was highly recommended as a local favourite. It was an excellent meal to start our 4 days tour and we are grateful to the hotel staff for this.

The only thing we can fault was the breakfast (it’s included). Selection was a bit limited but it does changes daily. The scrabble eggs was the only thing we didn’t like.

Definitely a great location near to the shopping street that has a mall down the street and many shoos along the street (Sephora, Sketchers, FootLocker). There is a metro station within three blocks from the hotel. The breakfast was very nice with good selection of juices, eggs, and pastries. On the quiet end of the shopping areas so it was pleasant to stay. Hotel was clean and nice staff.

No gym facility on site or near.

Wonderful location, rooms were decent sized nice and breakfast fresh and coffee machine was excellent. Having an elevator was a huge bonus!

My only complaint would actually be the pillows for the bed are a bit on the flatter side and actually hard to get comfortable. The type of pillows they have at the Holiday Inn Express in the US are among my favorite in the hotel bedding category.

Excellent location and 5 minute walk from Bolhao metro station. Although the breakfast was same every day,there was a very good selection and we were more than satisfied with it. Clean spacious room,and staff were very attentive. Overall a very good stay in Porto,would not hesitate to stay here again should I visit Porto again.

Central location, everything in walking distance. Subway station also very close. Very good quality breakfast and also shower gel and other small stuff was good quality.

Bed preference was not considered, we got separate beds on our honeymoon (beds cannot be pulled together). low variety from salty breakfast dishes.
