Room 446 Getting out of the room !! The Yorkshire tea bags !!

Everything !! It was totally over priced ! One person had to lay on the bed to allow the other to move around the room . I actually tripped over my wife as we crossed to use the bathroom at 2.00 am ,scared me to death !!!! i supposed it was quite romantic really as we haven’t been that close for years . The view out of the window was unique ! A brick wall ! Yes a brick wall 12 inches from the window !!! The room was that dark I thought there was a eclipse of the sun !!! Complained at reception on checking out expecting something knocking off the bill or a chocolate or some gesture ! but all i got was a lovely smile!!! ( nice teeth though)

Excellent location,5 min walk into town centre.Facilities very good,well appointed spa and pool,which was a main reason for booking the hotel.hotel clean and retained many period features Breakfast very good. Car parking reasonable cost and easy to pay at reception.

Breakfast finished at ten o'clock which was maybe a little early for a lot of people who were not in a rush, 10-30 would have been good .Hotel/restaurant information in the room was only available by scanning a QR code which not everybody wants to do,would have preferred written leaflet to read.

Very grand building, room had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and we had a nice stay. We enjoyed the spa facilities which were lovely, the jacuzzi could have been hotter tho. The breakfast choices were good and the downstairs of the hotel was decorated lovely and grand.

The only 2 negatives was the bedroom was really hot which made it uncomfortable and we had to sleep with the window open and curtains open to let the breeze in to cool down the room. Also I think our room was near to a boiler room as there was a noise that kept coming on for a while and then going off which was rather annoying.

Good location. Large comfortable bed. Big windows let a nice amount of natural light into the room. Not noisy. Good sized room with both a shower and a bath. We had a comfortable sleep and also enjoyed using the pool and steam room.

Some bits of the room were a little run down and in need of a refresh, carpet stains, broken tiles etc. The toilet door also didn't shut. We weren't able to park at the property because the car park was overflowing. I'm not sure the size of the car park is sufficient for the amount of guests, there were people parked on grass verges and double yellows!! However we did park a 2 min walk away (for a cheaper price too!) with no issues.

Excellent sized room with 2 king sized beds, ample room for a family of 4! Rooms were well maintained and very clean. Beds super comfy. No bath- shower only. Great location and would recommend the Taverna Greek restaurant within walking distance. We would definitely stay again!

It is not clearly explained prior to booking that children can only access the pool between set times- times which are generally a child's breakfast and dinner time. There is also be a waiting system as the pool quickly reaches its maximum limit- therefore it is not 100% guaranteed you will be able to use it.

This isn’t our first stay at the hotel, we visit Harrogate and stay at the Majestic on at least two separate occasions each year. The staff, as ever, were polite and very hospitable. The room was beautifully clean and comfortably furnished. Access and usage of the Spa facilities were on par with previous visits - with the lovely addition of the hot tub - big enough for eight! We travel a lot around the UK and the Majestic is arguably up there in our most favourite UK hotels - comfort, cleanliness, staff, food and gym and spa facilities are all exceptional. The location, the interior of the hotel is very grand and well considered contemporary updates. Rooms warm and modern

Had to change room as had room closest to the spa ventilation system, sounded like a lorry sitting outside your window 6am to 10pm. Double glazed windows in this room would have helped. Other rooms have them. Also radiator in bathroom didn’t work. Changes room from 1st to 5th floor, room newly refurbished and very warm and quiet, no complaints at all. The main lounges and restaurants were not as well heated as the bedrooms, heating needed turning up as a cold weekend.

Great location for Harrogate and exploring the area. Loved the children’s hour in the pool (included in the price too!), sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all lovely. Family room was huge, beds so comfortable and beautiful bathroom too with great showers in both the rooms and in the spa. Gentleman behind the bar helpful (sorry can’t remember his name). Lovely to see the hotel history documented on the bar tv and around the hotel.

The hairdryer supplied in the room isn’t very powerful but still does the job, just a little slower! If anyone has thick hair I’d recommend taking your own.

Room was a lovely size with a big king size bed. The bathroom was nice and had a good walk in shower, with hot water every time . Loved the yogurt and compote of fruit at breakfast and the pancake maker was a novelty. The hotel is in a great location in Harrogate, in the city centre. The hotel has a lovely spa and swimming pool.

My husband was too cold in bed, the quilt was very thin and when we visited it really was freezing cold, and I found the pillows to soft and uncomfortable to sleep on. I was asked by the hotel how was our stay and I asked for firmer pillows and a blanket, they said they would sort it, however the pillows were not replaced and no blanket! Also, it was cold and drafty in the dining area.

Property very well presented throughout the main areas. Visited the spa and gym, which were great. The building is very grand, and the décor presented this. The bathroom in the room was a great spec and modern.

Some areas in our room were a bit worn out. The ceiling needed a touch-up with some paper was hanging down. The walls around the windows and other areas were peeling, and there was discoloration on the woodwork. While these issues didn’t affect the room’s functionality, they did affect the overall appearance, which is a shame with the price you are paying. The furniture they used in the room was trying to embrace the building’s age, but it felt mismatched and a bit too large for the space.
