The property was in a good location, to pubs, restaurants and local shops. Very clean and a lovely sized room.

The only downfall was when we booked the room it advised car parking on site, when we got there it was Q parking. This wouldn't have been a problem if we had known when we booked. On booking in the hotel, we were told that if we go back out the car park (has to be within 10 mins of parking for free), then pull up some where, book the parking online, put in a discount code which she then handed to us and it will be half price. We didn't make it in time for the 10 mins as when we went to put our belongings In the room, the batteries were flat for the door card, so unfortunately we had to change rooms.

Yes the room was very comfortable. clean, and warm. Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL.

You made it very difficult for me regarding my evening food that I had to bring with me on my trip and also buy while I was there, because as I'd explained each evening to different members of staff, I've currently got ZERO teeth and so I was having to have my food warmed in the microwave and stored in your fridge. I was having to explain this every evening and it seemed to be a major problem for you to accommodate me. I wasn't asking for special treatment, I was simply asking you to help me out because of my lack of teeth. You made it intolerable for me. Something very simple was made very complicated by you, and so each evening was stressful for me when I was requesting heating up and storage of my food. A little understanding is what was required.

The room had everything I would like from a room. We could open the window. The view was interesting with the trams going over the bridge. The breakfast had all the ingredients I would expect. We have stayed here before and it is our first choice of budget hotel in Sheffield. We come on a walking holiday and use buses, trams and railways to get us to the start or back from the end of a walk in the Peak District. We are 5/10 minutes away from all three forms of transport. Handy for Kelham Island.

Can't fault the hotel, the location was good, room was clean and functional. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Had breakfast one of the mornings had a good choice the staff were very helpful ensuring guests request were met (topping up the food and drinks machine) was a relaxed atmosphere.

The only complaint I have is that I would have liked a little bit of a view, our room looked out on to a brick wall. Thankfully we didn't spend much time in the room during the day.

The location is great. You are just a stone's throw from the main bus station and the city center. It is a great starting point to go exploring The Peak District. Room was very clean and the size was perfect for two people. The beds were comfy, bathroom was a little on the smaller side but it was big enough for one person. The neighbourhood seemed very calm at all times. The whole hotel (lift, lobby, corridors,...) was very clean. We loved it.

Really close walking distance from city centre and the room was very clean. The bed was really comfortable, and the reception staff very welcoming and friendly.

The drawbacks were that in the room the shower was leaking a bit on the hose/fitting, so that when you showered half the water came out on the side and not the shower head. Another drawback was the immediate location. Whilst close to city centre the nearest streets had lots of homeless people, litter, and I would not at all have felt safe as a woman alone if my boyfriend wasn't with me.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was bright and clean. Breakfast (cooked plus continental) was decent. Price was great, as was the location (very close to Ponds Forge and the tram network)

The (single) beds were tiny... good enough for a 10 year old child but not suitable for a regular size adult. To gi e you a better idea, I'm a 40 inch jacket size and yet the bed was only as wide as my shoulders. Pillows were also uncomfortable.

The loation, right in the middle of the city is great. It's a 3 minute walk from the tram and an easy downhill walk . The room ws very clean and the showerroom was exceptionally clean! the bed was very comfortable and the linen emaculate.

The window do not open far enough to get any air into the room and the curtains are set so that they cover the open window completely. I had booked through Booking.com and was under the inpression that the Hotel would take payment at the end of the free cancellation period. I was not asked for payment at check in| I was surprised to recieve an e mail the next day to say that I had left without paying| As I was in hospital recovering from an operation I could not reply. The next e mail stated that I was a no show. They have got the money as they had my card number. I am not happy about this bad bit of admin!

The location is handy - 10 to 15 minutes from pretty much anywhere you may wish to visit. The hotel rooms felt pretty recently done and very very clean. Shower was excellent and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was just great - loads of options from cereal to fruit and yoghurt to buffet English breakfast options.

Very minor point but no air con for cooling. Probably not a massively common issue for the location we just happened to hit a heatwave and air con would’ve been very welcome.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Great buffet breakfast with lots of choice - croissants especially good. Large enough bath towels, which was a pleasant surprise. Multi plug for chargers was also good.

A few more coat hangers needed. There were five hooks and only four hangers on them. The toilet roll holder had fallen off the wall. A second small towel would have been good as there were two of us. There was some noise from other residents returning late after a night out which disturbed us. A bit more sound-proofing around the door would be helpful.
