Yes the room was very comfortable. clean, and warm. Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL.

You made it very difficult for me regarding my evening food that I had to bring with me on my trip and also buy while I was there, because as I'd explained each evening to different members of staff, I've currently got ZERO teeth and so I was having to have my food warmed in the microwave and stored in your fridge. I was having to explain this every evening and it seemed to be a major problem for you to accommodate me. I wasn't asking for special treatment, I was simply asking you to help me out because of my lack of teeth. You made it intolerable for me. Something very simple was made very complicated by you, and so each evening was stressful for me when I was requesting heating up and storage of my food. A little understanding is what was required.

Can't fault the hotel, the location was good, room was clean and functional. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Had breakfast one of the mornings had a good choice the staff were very helpful ensuring guests request were met (topping up the food and drinks machine) was a relaxed atmosphere.

The only complaint I have is that I would have liked a little bit of a view, our room looked out on to a brick wall. Thankfully we didn't spend much time in the room during the day.

Really close walking distance from city centre and the room was very clean. The bed was really comfortable, and the reception staff very welcoming and friendly.

The drawbacks were that in the room the shower was leaking a bit on the hose/fitting, so that when you showered half the water came out on the side and not the shower head. Another drawback was the immediate location. Whilst close to city centre the nearest streets had lots of homeless people, litter, and I would not at all have felt safe as a woman alone if my boyfriend wasn't with me.

The loation, right in the middle of the city is great. It's a 3 minute walk from the tram and an easy downhill walk . The room ws very clean and the showerroom was exceptionally clean! the bed was very comfortable and the linen emaculate.

The window do not open far enough to get any air into the room and the curtains are set so that they cover the open window completely. I had booked through Booking.com and was under the inpression that the Hotel would take payment at the end of the free cancellation period. I was not asked for payment at check in| I was surprised to recieve an e mail the next day to say that I had left without paying| As I was in hospital recovering from an operation I could not reply. The next e mail stated that I was a no show. They have got the money as they had my card number. I am not happy about this bad bit of admin!

The hotel was perfect location for my daughter swimming at British at the Ponds Forge. Room was spacious and comfortable,

The noise outside the hotel extremely early.banging and clattering ! There is no air con in the hotel so with 22 degree heat outside we required to sleep with the window open. Extremely disturbing the noise at such an early hour (I understand workmen etc require to start early) it was a full lorry of singular gas canisters being rolled off and on the lorry when we required as much rest and sleep due to competing at the Great Britain Aquatics Summer Meet. This was. Very frustrating and irritating our peace and sleep was disturbed.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Great buffet breakfast with lots of choice - croissants especially good. Large enough bath towels, which was a pleasant surprise. Multi plug for chargers was also good.

A few more coat hangers needed. There were five hooks and only four hangers on them. The toilet roll holder had fallen off the wall. A second small towel would have been good as there were two of us. There was some noise from other residents returning late after a night out which disturbed us. A bit more sound-proofing around the door would be helpful.

Lovely hotel, great decor in the rooms. The staff were friendly and were happy to help anytime we needed any help or answer any questions.

The single beds were like bricks to sleep on. Neither myself or my partner slept well sadly and the pillows are very firm. Maybe worth investing in some softer pillows and give each person one softer and one firmer pillow as there were 2 pillows per bed. This is not the hotels fault but we want to make people aware incase they have kids but the pub next door is quite rough & the people it attracts. Junkies hanging outside and dealing in broad day light by the pub and it felt quite intimidating and unsafe whilst past or walking to cars etc.

On arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member who checked us in swiftly. The hotel is clean both inside and outside, is in a great location and the decor is lovely. The room was spotless, coffee and milk supplied and blackout curtains.The bathroom was also spotless and well stocked with towels and toiletries. We sat and had a couple of drinks on arrival back from our night out and the staff were very pleasant as was the lounging area. Check out time at 12 noon is a real bonus. All in all a really lovely experience!

Beds and pillows are hard.

--Comfortable beds and pillows --Clean room exactly as in the pictures! --Good view (could see the Trams go by in the distance) --Located 10 minutes walk away from the train station --The prices for to-order food was reasonable (although we didn't try it) --The reception staff were friendly and check in and check out processes were smooth --Loved the modern look of the room --Shower was well sized with good water pressure and good hot water I would definitely stay here again!

--No grocery stores nearby, but not a deal breaker. --Bins were not lined which meant rubbish had to be thrown directly into the bin --More tea bags should be provided as a default and some coffee whiteners would be helpful (But staff were more than happy to provide these on request). --The bedside lamp cords are too long (risk of accidental strangulation) --Power socket on just one side of the bed --Toilet brush would have been good to provide

The room was fine, actually quite quiet, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good (good water pressure and hot water), access easy, and parking virtually next door. Breakfast was ok, but evening meal was surprisingly good (sausages and mash had good flavour, wasn't overcooked, was served with a genuine smile, and had clearly only just been cooked (rather than being reheated)). Given that it's a 'budget hotel' I was actually very pleasantly surprised. Actually tried to book again for the following weekend, but it seems they only do 2-day booking at the weekend.
