Bed was surprisingly comfy, and the lady at reception was friendly and helpful.

A shuttle service to the airport would have been helpful. Taxis are expensive but there is a local bus you can take a short walk away.

GRANTED MY REQUEST FOR A DOWNSTAIRS ROOM. ROOM CLEAN AND TIDY EVERYTHING SEEMED TO WORK STAFF VERY FRIENDLY WELCOMED MY DOG BREAKFAST EXCELLENT

IF I WAS BEEING REALLY PICKY I WOULD LIKE THE HOTEL TO PROVIDE SOMETHING FOR THE DOGS SEEING AS HOW THEY CHARGE £20 FOR THEM. AT LEAST THAT WAY YOU WOULD GET SOMETHING FOR THE MONEY SPENT. IE A TREAT BAG, ETC. CHARGING FOR DOGS IS MONEY FOR OLD ROPE AT THE MOMENT AND JUST ANOTHER WAY OF SCAMMING THE CONSUMER. WHILST THERE IS NOTHING PROVIDED FOR THEM I WILL USE THE SAUSAGES FROM BREAKFAST TO FEED THEM - AT LEAST THAT WAY, THEY GET SOMETHING

The staff really do make the stay.. nice to meet someone familiar from where you live.. the staff were approachable, the restaurant was closed but one of the guys tried to get something arranged,, dropped a menu off to us and thought it might be a good idea to order a takeaway in,, which was really sweet of them to help out,, unfortunately Birchhangers not open 247 just a shame you don't get the same team everywhere,, though it's in Stansted there's a lot of different people working around that you just can't relate to,, I like the look of their wet room where the shower is,, the same floor is in the kitchen aswell.. so the water soaks in to the floor if you get anything anywhere,, the restaurant menu sounds delish,, it was quite quiet and the staff were near by if you needed them

The 🏨 more like a motel it's quite basic.. I wasn't able to have a shower in the am.. the water for hot just didn't come out,, there were no biscuits,, no charging ports near the beds and would of been nice for the restaurant to be open

Look in todays world the price of the room was reasonable location easy to locate And staff super ,

Room I arrived later in the evening as I stated when asked (arrival time ) Room was very cold no heating on , tiredness or stupidity , I did not realise the temp gauge was not on So room did not warm easy What I find really ooor show Is one thank you for coffee But tge coffee provided is the lowest and milk in a tiny type “come on “ yo can for a few pence more or even add a couple of pound if the visitor wished better coffee and milk a nd a piece of fruit cake etc It’s worth a look at 🌹x

Location is good, close to airport. About five minute walk to bus stop that takes you to the airport. Costs 3 pound instead of spending around 15 on a taxi. It is located in a convenient spot where there are a few shops to get food and fast food places but honestly I would recommend eating at the restaurant in the hotel! The food was delicious and same price as Burger King or the others. Staff were lovely.

It seems an old building so its smell is quite musty or smells like stale smoke. Other than that, for a short stay if needing a place close to the airport, it’s ideal.

Booking for the first time here, few days before my arrival, I called the hotel for more details and Colin, working for FOH was very helpful, professional, provided answers to all my questions and gave very good advise that I took it. Thank you and well done. On the other hand, the person who checked me in, although wrote down my request to order a cab for 5 am forgot to do that. I waited half an hour, nothing happened. When I asked the night staff to check what is happening, only that moment my cab was ordered and arrived in 5-10 minutes. More training should be provided to the FOH' staff regarding the importance of commitment to the customers' request, maybe?

on arrival the room was clean but there was a strong smell of chlorine that I wanted to disappear so tried to open the window but unfortunately there was no handle to do that. As someone with extensive experience working in hospitality, housekeeping should have been informed maintenance about the lack. Investing in repairing from time to time will do better for the property, in my opinion

The distance from the hotel to Stansted was very short and helped us immensely as we are a family with 5 kids. It's also located at a welcome break where you can get a variety of different foods etc and it's open late. The breakfast was wonderful. I just expected the barr minimum but there was a lot of choice and the Cook was amazing made me an omelette of my choice.

The bathroom is a bit outdated but ig was still clean which I liked. Mattresses has seen better days but for an ivernighr stay is fine.

Let's be straight, it's a budget hotel as reflected in the price. At the time we paid £72.00 so don't expect 5 star accommodation. We stayed there prior to an early flight the next morning so booked it on a room only basis. It's location to Stansted airport was perfect and the price was great too. The room was very basic, but it was clean, quiet and the bed was comfy. Parking was included and although the hotel is located on a service station, you can get off the site to the local area and have dinner in one of the local pubs or restaurants. For me, it ticked enough boxes to be happy to use it again.

Hotel was clean, friendly staff, easy check-in/out and the room was absolutely grand for what we needed as a simple overnight stay before an early morning flight. Amenities are good as it is right next to the services so access to food/groceries/shops for other items all right on your doorstep. Something to be aware of is that it is not right next to the airport (which is indeed stated in the hotel info so was not a surprise) and a taxi early morning to Stansted isn’t that cheap- £20 being the best deal through Metro taxis. The lovely lady driver recommended she leave us next to the airport rather than have to pay an additional £7 for an airport drop off, which was much appreciated as where she dropped us was a simple and short walk-in to the main terminal, without that extra ridiculous expense when the 8-10min car ride is pricey enough at £20!

Room 101 was a well equipped room which was clean in every respect. Easy to make internet booking.. Price of a single night for two adult in a double room was extremely competitive. Comfortable (king dize) bed. Large TV (with Netflix). Iron & Board. Hair Dryer. Tea & Coffee. Body wash and clean towels. Extra bedding. Open wardrobe. Desk area.

Arrival was not good. We checked-in at half past midnight due to flight delays. On our arrival we was promptly sent to the wrong room which we attempted to access against an obstructed door. This was quite upsetting as our intrusion woke and startled the room occupants who where sleeping. This mix up was quickly resolved.
