-Great location, not too far from downtown Ottawa. -Super clean and friendly staff. -Rooms are very clean, washrooms very modern and nice touch with rain showers. (lots of towels and very nice bathrobe) -Lobby is very modern and warm -Business centre has open space for working in a very nice surrouning -Coffee in the lobby until 4 PM. -Gym is okay, pool didn't try but looked a bit small. -Lots of parking and options to park around the hotel with -Within 1-5 minutes there are tonnes of places to eat and different price points, -Check-in process really easy Service and value was exceptional in our opinion, it was a busy hotel but staff kept it very tidy and clean.

-An Elevator was out so a bit of a bummer -I was surprised the coffee station in the lobby closes at 4 PM -Hard to fnd anything elese really to find faults about

Haneen was incredibly sweet and personable during the check-in process. Having traveled for 24 hours from Hawai'i to Ottawa, she understood I was exhausted and just wanted to rest; as there were plenty of people at the hotel for a large scale volleyball tournament and a NHL game, she ensured I was placed in a quiet room away from the noise. The check-in process was speedy, bed was super comfy and hotel very clean. Whenever I visit Ottawa I always stay at The Sandman. Location is excellent as well as The CHOP steakhouse is far superior to The Keg.

Ideal location with lots of restaurants around. Abundant parking. Clean lobby, elevators, corridors and rooms (we had two rooms). Appreciated the powerful handheld shower as well as the rain head shower in the walk-in bath. Overall, our two night stay was a good one. It is my second visit, the first being last year. I will consider staying here again next year.

Mattresses were not comfortable for me. Sink had very slow drainage (reported to front desk at checkout). Rooms are not equipped with newer usb-C connections, I will remember to bring mine on my next visit. .

Good location, friendly and helpful staff! Many shops in the neighborhood and free parking.

The air conditioning is very loud and for us it was not possible to sleep with it turned on, luckily the nights were cool enough to sleep without air conditioning.

The only reason I didn't give this place 10/10 was related to using Booking for this location. I suggest calling Sandman directly. We made a reservation through booking but for some reason, Sandman didn't get it. All has been resolved after I double paid but I had a lot of issues with Booking to get it resolved. Do choose pay at property.

Decor was fantastic. Staff was friendly and quick to check me in. Room was the cleanest hotel I've ever seen. Your housekeeping staff is top tier. Nothing was out of place. The bathrooms are designed very well, I love the shower. The rainfall head and the large square tubs are very high-end feeling. The towels were great and so were the toiletries. The bed was insanely comfortable and felt very clean.

My only complaint is how can you have such a well thought out place that is so comfortable and inviting but I can't find a bottle of water anywhere? Need to upgrade vending services and get machines that accept debit/tap. I ca e back from out work event after talking to over 200 people for 3 hours and I was parched, and assumed I could get a bottle of water at the hotel so I drove past 5 gas stations/convenience stores on the way back just to come to realize that there's literally nothing to drink there but tap water.

I like that the hotel was close to restaurants and the airport. I was happy with our free shuttle to the airport.

I was not happy to call the hotel to get a shuttle back to get our vehicle and they quoted 15 mins for our pick up and we ended up having to take a taxi (30.00) after waiting 30 mins. When we returned to hotel the driver was just getting in his vehicle to cone and get us.

The hotel was perfect for my weekend stay with friends. Beyond my expectation. It was clean, the decor was lovely and it had a really great ambience. My room had a mini kitchen that had a microwave, a stove where you can make a quick meal, plates, cups etc. It is located right next to a mall that has restaurants like Mandarin, Baton Rouge, Jack Astor's and more. We arrived late at night, it was nice that there were restaurants close by, that were still open, so we could have dinner. Costco is like a 4min drive away in case you needed to grab some supplies. I'll visit again for sure.

Staff was great!! The bartender the evening we were there was fantastic! He was friendly and very efficient. His eye for detail is great. Watching him prepare drinks I could tell he took great pride in his work. Customers were very well looked after!

Lack of actual milk or cream for morning coffee in the lobby area, we are not fans of Coffee Mate. There were lots of tea bags in the room but there was not any coffee to prepare in the room.

Location is fine if you have a car. I am familiar with the Ottawa region and I much preferred to stay in this area as it is quieter than downtown. With a car, it's only about 10 min to get anywhere.

I would've preferred that housekeeping services be done daily. You had to hang a sign on your door before 10 am to request cleaning, otherwise it was not done. I think this is unnecessary as many guests are still waking up close to that time, and many may worry about cleaning staff entering the room so early while they are getting ready for the day, so it makes one hesitant to hang the sign.
