Comfort Suites Downtown Montreal enjoys a prime location in the heart of downtown Montreal. One aspect of the stay that was disappointing was the interaction with the young woman at the front desk. She was not very polite and came across as somewhat dismissive, which made the check-in experience less welcoming than expected. Her tone lacked warmth and attentiveness, which stood out given the otherwise friendly atmosphere of the hotel. In contrast, the male staff members at the front desk were extremely courteous and helpful. They were attentive, respectful, and went out of their way to assist with questions and requests, which helped balance the overall experience.

The location is superb and the fact that they clean your room everyday makes a huge difference vs. most hotels after Covid. The room was large and the beds comfortable.

There were many things that were not working as expected. Instead of soap we had moisturizer in the bathroom, and the coffee machine was broken. Breakfast was very limited. None of these things are a dealbreaker however. I am mentioning them because rates are expensive here as in most of Montreal.

The very best part of this hotel was when I was traveling with my 2 teenagers we were all able to have our own beds. We had a balcony and we had room to spread out.

The elevator wasn't fast, but it was very reliable. The breakfast wasn't 5 stars, but it was plentiful and filling. Honestly I just don't have any complaints.

Lorcation was excellent - close to lots of restaurants and neat stores. Room was very good. No problems. Breakfast food was excellent, but the room was too small. Some days it was difficult to find a free seat - should have had someone doing the seating as sometimes a single person sat at a table for four. The staff were all very helpful.

The elevator was very slow and there was no elevator for the staff with the laundry carts, so it they were moving their carts there was not much room for the customers. There should be a freight elevator. We were on the 11th floor and it was slow.

The hotel is in an excellent, central location. The city is very walkable and everything is nearby. Great restaurants a stone’s throw away, The Bell Centre is nearby. The room was quiet and comfortable, excellent value. I was surprised there was a couch as well as the two beds. Very nice room.

Loved the comfortable beds, the AC, the mini fridge, gracious coffee available and the breakfast had so many choices!

The elevator was quite slow and busy all the time. This is super minor . Could do with some elevator music during the trip to the top floors haha

I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in downtown Montreal! The hotels in Montreal are insanely expensive. This was the cheapest hotel we could find and it was a great value. The location is optimal, right in the middle of downtown and walking distance to restaurants, bars, clubs, site seeing, mall/movie theater, metro, etc. We parked in the parking lot right across the street for $25 CAD per day. We walked everywhere so didn't need to drive the car at all, but the lot is attended to 24/7 so we had access to the keys whenever we needed to get things out of the car. The hotel is small and looks worn down BUT the room itself was great! Very spacious! There are 14 floors with 2 working elevators. Our room was on the 10th floor and had 2 queen beds, a desk with a chair, a table with 2 loveseat chairs, shower with a bathtub, cable TV, A/C, microwave, mini fridge, blackout curtains, and a little patio overlooking the city. There was free wifi available but we didn't use it. The room was clean and the beds were COMFORTABLE, the mattress was so soft like a cloud. They also offer free breakfast that included juice, coffee, muffins, toast, yogurt, cereal, boiled and scrambled eggs, and sausages. Again, great value for your money if you don't mind it being a little run down.

Honestly, it was a great stay. If I'm being picky, it was a bit loud at night from the partiers and cars in the streets since the location is downtown. But we turned on the A/C and the fan blocked out the noises. I wish the curtain was about 1-2 inches longer because the light came through the bottom a bit

The location was great, very central, close to transit, restaurants and amenities. The staff were excellent, very pleasant and helpful and they spoke both English and French. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I would definitely stay again. There was a reasonable choice of food at breakfast, although it was the same every day.

Room needs better window and doors to mask some of the noise from the night traffic and hollers.

Great location and friendly staff. We left a phone behind and they helped us find it and get it back.

Elevator is a little slow. Wish they had parking or a deal with a nearby parking lot.
