The location of Hotel Dupont Smith is ideal. Although it is a short walk to some of the sights the best was to see Paris is on foot. That said the Metro is a five minute walk so Paris is easily accessible. The Marais area, in which the hotel is located, is welcoming and friendly and there is plenty there to see and do with a great variety of restaurants. The Hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are well appointed and clean and the staff will do all they can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible - we could not have asked for more. Hotel Dupond-Smith will be the first place we would look to book when we return to Paris

There truly were no negatives

Location is great, right in the heart of the Marais. Next to a lot of shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Junior Suite so that was great because it was huge.

Bathroom fittings are not ergonomic. The shower taps were difficult to handle and also not intuitive, and the overhead shower would not turn off immediately. The taps were particularly difficult for my elderly mum to use. Sink is too shallow and the counter top would get very wet after washing your face. The fragrance diffuser in the toilet was empty and so useless. The hotel is very poorly signed so it can be difficult to find.

The location couldn't be better – quiet, central, and surrounded by great cafés, shops, and major sights within walking distance. The staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. The attention to detail and the level of service truly set this hotel apart. This is among the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We opted for a suite and did not regret our decision, as the seating area allowed us to sprawl and lounge after active days in the city. Despite being on level 1 (second floor to us Americans), the room was very quiet; however, we enjoyed opening the windows while in the seating area to listen to the hum and heartbeat of the city. The room was thoughtfully laid out. The location is terrific in Le Marais, with easy access to Metro and easy walking distance to Île de la Cité. The staff was especially helpful and we enjoyed breakfast served daily in our room. There are only 8 rooms in the hotel, so it is intimate and personal.

Lovely boutique hotel located in Le Marais district of Paris. Rooms spacious and nicely decorated. Location excellent… we walked to Mused D’Orsay but metro option not far if wanting to explore further. Staff excellent… Nicholas was wonderful, cheery and really helpful … nothing was too much trouble. Nicholas contributed to the enjoyment of our stay in Hotel Dupond-Smith and we thank him for this. Great restaurants and shopping in this area of Le Marais. Would highly recommend.

There were no negatives to our stay

The hotel is well situated. You feel the life style of the Parisien. Little shops, cafés, bars in the neighbourhood. The hotel itself is beautifully equipped. The receptionist, Justine, even baked a fantastic chocolate cake for her guests and was extremely friendly and helpful. We felt at home. In our room we even had a little terrasse.

Incredible property. Located in a wonderful district with shopping and food galore, yet tucked away in a quiet alley so you don’t get the noise of the streets. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by a great smile and wonderful, fresh baked cakes. The service was impeccable by all three receptionists’. Any request we had, it was completed right away. Call this restaurant for me and make a reservation, can I get an ice pack for my ankle, call me a taxi please- all of these requests were done promptly. They always went the extra mile. As for the facilities, the rooms were spacious as well. Superior room perfect for 2 people, and the suite was quite large for my family of 4. Overall, this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The service, location, amenities, facilities and even breakfast were excellent. Hope to visit again soon!

It felt like a modern hotel but in an old historic building. Best of both worlds. Definitely felt like a 5 star hotel experience. The front desk staff were amazing - kind and helpful. Nice little touches like hand written notes on the bed and home made baked goods at the front desk (made by the staff!).
