Superb location, friendly staff, very accessible to transportation. Wi-fi connection was fast and stable even up to the 14th floor. Laundry facilities on site.

The lint filter on both laundry dryers are most of the time not clear from any lint. There's only one lift available to the facility which actually became a nightmare to deal with when it went out and some customers were advised to use the emergency stairs. Imagine doing it in the middle of Japan summer and your room is in the 14th floor. Also, that damn lift/elevator doesn't have any cooling fans and it gets hot as a broiler during the summer. I hope there are two lifts just like the Hop Inn hotel in Asakusa.

Hop Inn Ueno Tokyo exceeded my expectations. Everything that you will need is provided. They offer free freshly brewed coffee, toiletries and there is even an ice machine and a coin laundry. The room is very clean, the bed is really comfy, the linen is superb similar to what you will find in a five star hotel. The location is 10/10. It's a short walk from both the JR Ueno and Okachimachi Stations and the Keisei Ueno Station. Coming from Narita via the Keisei Skyliner is very convenient. A lot of places to eat and shop around. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. When in Tokyo, I will only stay in this place. I've been to Tokyo many times but this hotel is really the one that fulfilled all my needs and expectations. And lastly, it's really more than worth for what you paid for. A real bang for the buck. See and experience yourself, you will surely enjoy.

Breakfast wasn't available to us at the hotel, but the location is very convenient with many eateries close by. It's also just steps away from the Ueno train station where there are easy transportation links to different parts of Tokyo and Japan, plus the Skyliner express train to Narita airport. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean.

The room was a bit too small, but I believe it's a rather standard size in Japan. It's nice there is free coffee and tea at the lobby area where there is a sofa to sit on, however, perhaps adding a coffee table to place the drinks next to the sofa would be more ideal.

Our room was in the 12th floor so it’s very quiet. There is no view in the room itself, but there is in the hallway. The bed and pillow are comfortable, the bathroom is nice. Hotel offers free toiletries and free coffee in the lobby (even at 2am in the morning!) There is a laundry room, it’s 300 yen per cycle and the dryer is 100 yen. There’s always a staff in the lobby to help us. The location is amazing as well, a lot of Family Mart nearby. Close to stations too.

The room is a bit small. Two people with big luggage will not be able to open their luggage at the same time. But this is typical for any rooms in Tokyo so it did not bother us that much.

Near trains and markets so easy to find food and shopping. Staffs are friendly. Polite and helpful with the taxi . My taxi driver didn’t shut the back door properly and if the hotel staffs didn’t see and stop the driver in time, my luggage would have fallen out on the busy road. A big thank you for that 🙏. There is a Thai staff member speaking to you as well made me feel not so alone for my first solo trip.

The room quite small but luckily the bed was high enough to store luggage under there.

Don’t think twice about staying here. Conveniently located if you’re taking the skyliner from Narita. Very clean and has a coffee machine + toiletries in the lobby. Steps from the local market. Was planning to only stay here 1 night and we ended up booking for 3 more for our last leg of the trip in Tokyo. I have an upper middle class lifestyle and love this place!

Location was great as expected. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Relatively new accommodation. Relatively clean.

Beware the rooms are indeed small which was to be expected.1 dead bug and candy wrapper left behind. And the only thing separating shower and toilet was a curtain. So floor in-between can get quite wet. I wish bins were bigger especially if no house cleaning if staying 3 nights or less.

Super handy to 2 train stations and subway lines. Easy access to coffee (Starbucks), shopping, food and conbinis. Room was a little tight for 2 adults and a teenager for 5 nights but we survived.

Not enough pillows... One pillow also seemed to have feathers and buckwheat or something in it? There was a little bit of road noise but that's to be expected when you book a main road.

This is our 2nd stay in Tokyo and our first time to book Hop Inn. It is definitely the place where one should stay when in Tokyo. It is very close to the Ueno station and shops, including the Ameyoko shopping area. Walking to and from the station was a breeze! Will definitely book again!

The bath tub drain would emit a foul smell, so we had to always cover it with the rubber plug when not in use.
