The location is great, near 711 Lawson and Ameyoko market. The room is big more than we expect. No staff around there but we can follow the check-in and check out construction with out any issue. Vending Machine and Laundry coin service are available.

Very close to Ueno station. Clean, big room. Room as advertised in the pictures.

No staff at all. Clumsy check-in: there is a front desk that gives you the impression that someone will be there. But instead, you are welcomed by two tablets: one tablet only for ‘scan qr code’ and one tablet only for ‘verify your identity’. Major cue on both tablets at check-in time at exactly 3PM. Additionally, there was a data breach where customer details were leaked. I received a whatsapp note from an unidentified source pretending to be the hotel, asking for payment.

The apartment was well sized as we were a group of 4 adults (incl grandparents) and 2 young kids (6 and 3). We had 2 rooms (sliding door partitions) and the kids slept on the sofa. The room configuration worked for us. There was also space for a dining table, as well as a small dressing table next to the balcony. As you enter the room there are 2 closets which can be used to store jackets and also your suitcases. The beds and pillows were very comfortable so we were pleasantly surprised. The laundry facilities were great - washing machine costs 300yen and includes detergent. Dryer is 100yen for 30 min (you'd most likely need at least 1h). While it was well used by the other guests, we were able to find a spare machine quite easily (busy in the evenings). Location was great as it was a short walk to the JR station as well as other subway lines. Ueno is a great location as a base for Disneyland (if not staying at the resort), Akihabara (about 1.5km walk) and Asakusa (15 to 20 min on subway). Downside is that Shibuya and Shinjuku are about 30 min away on JR live but we wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle. Ueno was much quieter with plenty of shops and food if you didn't want to venture out. Also very close to Lawson which is around the corner as well as 7-11 not far from it as well.

Luggage storage facilities are available but be prepared to get in early or the room could be full by the time you get there. Also note that reception isn't always staffed so if the room is full, the door isn't shut and is accessible by anyone. Would have loved a bath in the bathroom.

The hotel is centrally located in the neighborhood of Ueno. Ueno itself has a lot to offer in terms of food, bars and shopping. The hotel staff was always quick to react over the booking.com chat. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. There are enough spaces to hang and sort your clothes which is important for a longer stay. The little kitchen is handy and cute. The shower was amazing. The view great and the living room quite large relatively to what you usually get in Tokyo.

The only thing which comes to mind is that there could be additional small lights on the night stands but that is all. The TV is not connected to streaming services.

Great location, a minute walk to the nearest station and a few minuets to the main Ueno station and Zoo park /National museum. I was able to send my luggage as well from the previous hotel to wait for me upon arrival. There is no lobby reception but if needed there is a on call representative in the back room. They were very polite and helpful when needed. We were able to cook our own food which was a huge plus with our toddler.

For this price we were expecting a little bit more- the shower is very basic and not very stylish. No cleaning service, and trash isnt being removed at all, i think you can request but it was not clear. Room looks more spacious in the photos. That saying, I would book again.

We stayed in the Deluxe family room. (Family of 5) which was comfortable and spacious with 5 beds (2 x bunk beds and 1 x queen. Location was good, within walking distance to Ueno train station, Ueno park and Ameyoko shopping district. Convenience store also very close by.

The digital check in was a little confusing initially. A hotel staff member at the front desk would aid and enhance the digital check in process and also to offer advice or recommendations on the local area and restaurants etc. The onsite washing machines were great to have, although English instructions would have helped. We found another hotel guests dirty clothes and underwear under the bathroom sink in our room, apart from this the apartment was spotless.

Great location, very convenient for Ginza metro and Ueno Station as well as shops and restaurants. Very clean, comfortable, and good sized (family) room for Tokyo. Handy to have a fridge freezer and cooking facilities. Communication was good with instructions for check in and full address in Japanese and English which was handy for the taxi from the airport. All good and we would recommend Minn Ueno.

A little bit soulless with online check in and no staff but I do understand this is the system. Otherwise excellent.

Place was super comfortable at a very good location! Short walk to all the busy area yet not noisy at night. Taxi to Keisei ueno was less than 1500¥. Overall for the size and space, it’s a really nice, comfortable and spacious unit.

Laundry has to be done at the laundry room but for a small fee. Self storage luggage room is unmanned and a little small so it gets fills up easily and you’ll probably have to stack the luggage on your own. No housekeeping. TV doesn’t work.

Near Okachimachi station and a little farther from Ueno station. We liked the larger rooms for families to relax and the reasonable price. Near a grocery store and several convenience stores.

The virtual checkin was different but quick and relatively easy. However, if you prefer a live front desk this is not the property for you. No one was available to call taxis or help to forward your luggage. They do respond quickly on LINE and tried to attend to your needs.

We got the deluxe room with two little bedrooms - perfect for a family so the kids could sleep undisturbed. Small like every hotel in Tokyo but worked really well. Nice quiet street but easy to get to restaurants and shops.

The very hard pillows and beds - but I think that’s most places we stayed in Japan, so maybe us not the hotel. Our last night was a Saturday night and it was noisier with people coming in late at night. But fantastic during the week and Friday night.
