The staff here make this hotel a more luxurious experience than even the big 5-star resorts. They were always available and friendly, assisting us with everything from finding good restaurants that met our dietary restrictions, giving us advice on attractions, and even going out to the pharmacy to purchase an emergency item. The breakfast here is truly exceptional, the kind I'd have paid to eat if it wasn't included. The location is unbeatable, right by the waterfront, with a 10-minute walk to most attractions.

While the gym, sauna and pool are delightful, they are a little on the small side and can get crowded in the mornings.

Perfect location, close to everything. We did not have to use the taxi once. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Nice rooms and building, with good cleaners. We asked for a quiet room and we got our rest in the middle of the busy city.

I have almost no remarks on what could be improved. Everything was pretty great. If I would have to say one thing, it would be that the room wasn't super big, and neither was the swimming pool. Still, it really was fine for our purposes and given the historic and iconic building in which the hotel was located, this is to be expected.

This property was in a perfect location, right were someone new to Portugal would want to be. The hotel was…eclectic and interesting; you have to see it on person. This is not your standard Embassey Suite/Hilton, it had history and it was stunning on person. The concierge. Were awesome!!! The breakfast was perfect with the friendliest staff!!! The restursmr was also incredible, try their tomahawk steak, one of the best we had in Portugal. You really can't go wrong with this place, trust me, I did the research.

The shower is tiny, but hey its vacation. I also wish is had a place to put makeup bathroom products, I hate living ojt of a suite case. They did have a closer to hang clothes but no counter top to pit daily necessities: vitamins, face creams/deodorant etc.

We do not have enough great things to say about Prestana Pousada Lisboa. From the moment we arrived in this small exquisitely appointed hotel we knew we had made the right choice. The location is wonderful, just across the street from the Praca de Comercio- a gorgeous large plaza on the Tagus River. Our spacious room on the first floor above the lobby had a small balcony from which to view the plaza and river, although I don’t know if all rooms have balconies. Every member of the staff from the arrival and front desk personel, food services, housekeeping, maintenance— everyone —were exceptional friendly, helpful and professional. I wish I could name and thank them all. Concierge Daniella and Breakfast Manager Philip were especially gracious and attentive. Don’t pass up the fabulous breakfast buffet with so many wonderful selections including the fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, salmon, diary, cereals and famous Lisbon pastries. The hotel itself features fabulous statuary and art on loan from local museums. Especially beautiful was the large lounge where tea was served every afternoon. The building itself is historic and architecturally stunning. Our room had a vaulted ceiling. The only weak spot was the room was under-lit, but it was spacious with a small refrigerator, espresso machine and other conveniences. Also available was the workout room, sauna, spa and indoor pool. In short, this hotel was definitely one of our favorite parts of our great Lisbon vacation. We thank everyone for making it happen.

Lighting in room could have been brighter

Location can’t be beaten. Hotel itself is beautiful. Yes the air con is dated and not as effective as newer systems, our safe wasn’t working, and staff were a little transactional - but the appeal of the hotel is its historic presence and charm. If you want a US hotel, stay in the US!

Security needs to be improved - anyone can access floors without access key cards. We had someone knock saying they were delivering room service, when we didn’t order any. Sure it was the hotel but you never know.

The hotel is perfectly located as a jumping off point to see many parts of the city. The hotel is gorgeous, staff if very engaging and helpful. The room and bathroom was spacious and elegantly decorated.

The beds and pillows. These are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. It’s like laying on concrete. There also is no place to keep your belongings. Closet space is non existent & no drawer space. I had a bench by the window where I was able to keepp packing cubes and keep my belongings there.

An excellent hotel! Perfectly located, with an amazing staff and outstanding responsiveness to every request. The restaurant is also a true gem. When we arrived at 10 AM, we were immediately given a ready room—a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Additionally, the concierge service, which handles restaurant reservations and more, is a fantastic feature that has been missing in many hotels today. We will definitely be back!

To be honest, nothing.

Everything exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the generous welcoming gifts the first day of my stay, and then the souvenir tile on my last day. Breakfasts were great, as was afternoon tea. Room service was prompt, friendly, and delicious. Enjoyed the pool. Staff were always going out of their way to make things nice. I would definitely return.

I just wanted to share my fantastic experience at this place! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It even had air conditioning and a lovely balcony. The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. And let me tell you about the breakfast - it was absolutely amazing with so many options and such great service. The indoor pool was small but nice and clean, and we also loved the sauna and gym. We went running and walking on the river walk, which is just a few steps away from the hotel. We absolutely enjoy staying in this hotel. The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and the food is delicious. The location is unbeatable! You can walk to everything, and it's in such a safe area.
