Where to start? We fell in love with this hotel. For a start it is a beautiful property. The design of the accommodation is both chic and comfortable - stylish without being intimidating - and, at the same time, both modern and authentically Portuguese. We found it was in the perfect location for exploring the city, has parking virtually on the doorstep, and excellent food, especially the superb breakfast. The very best thing, though, are the staff, all of whom are simply amazing, and did everything possible to make our stay utterly memorable. There were so many charming touches - for example, the free smart phone preprogrammed with directions and a hotline to the front desk if we needed them, and the welcoming chocolate cake in our suite (we were upgraded!) on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, We had to tear ourselves away - and will be back very soon! Thank you to Claudia, Tania and all the team.

Absolutely nothing.

This property was perfect in every regard. The location was within walking distance to marina, old town, restaurants transport etc. The room was spotless and given a very deep clean daily. Wonderful amenities. Breakfast was fresh, clean, tasty and full of choice (they also offer a smaller selection breakfast in-house, which was outstanding compared to the take away bag usually offered for early travellers). Additionally, this hotel had the best communication prior to arrival and during our stay that I have ever encountered. Front desk certainly go above and beyond. I cannot rate them highly enough, would definitely stay again. BONUS, each evening there was a surprise in our room to make the stay extra special - and it worked!!

Great location. Staff were great. Did their best to accommodate my elderly mom and mobility issues. The gift and personal notes written beginning and end of our stay was a great touch and thoughtful surprise. My mom said she found beds very comfortable and slept well.

No breakfast tea options in the room. That would've been nice. Junior suites, the dinner plates don't fit into the microwave, so couldn't warm food. Not sure if bathrooms can be classed as accessible, the lip to shower was quite high/deep, than normal. Family room - you can hear/feel the trams going by, not terrible, but if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Trams don't run all night though.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, loved the old world charm. The beds were luxurious and we slept great with the shutters darkening the room completely. Location was perfect. Breakfast was tasty. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, especially Bruno. Loved the musician in the square at night.

Storage space for suitcases could have been better but we understood the limited space was due to the location. The coffee maker was a bit frustrating, might be a good idea to leave basic instructions for foreigners. The shower towel shelf should be raised for safety, so no one can hit their head on accident.

The location was perfect. The bedding was great, and I'm a bit picky :) It was lovely to each have our own bedrooms and a living space to feel comfortable. The balconies were nice for a little outdoor space and being able to open up the windows with Porto's beautiful weather! It was nice to have a laundry machine. Would stay with Ando Living in other cities if available.

Would have appreciated a convenient place to store luggage after check out while we still explored the city the rest of the day. The office was a bit far to wheel our luggage over the rough streets ;)

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of all main attractions. I understand that it is an old building that has been rather recently refurbished to a modern standard. The room was reasonably comfortable, although we found it rather small for being classified as a "junior suite". The quality of service was in certain areas compromised, however all hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful which compensated for some of the shortcomings.

Breakfast was not great and certainly not to the standard that one would expect from such hotel. I would recommend visiting one of the close by breakfast places which offer much better options at lower prices. We decided to have a drink one evening, which took unreasonable long time to be serviced as well as omitted part of our order.

It was clean and in great location.

It was very loud, as the music from the restaurant downstairs kept playing until very late. Although after the call to the reception they turned the volume slightly down. Staff very generally very polite, but whenever any issues or concerns arises they were unhelpful. Lobby was very pretty. Breakfast wasn’t that good. All and all it was a lovely place to stay, however wouldn’t come back as it was nothing too special and the overall atmosphere wasn’t welcoming or didn’t come across as the kind of place, where people care.

The hotel is intimate with wonderful decor in both the public and private spaces. Because it is located on the municipal square with limited traffic, it was very quiet. Breakfast was very nice, with a large variety of homemade baked goods, among other options. The best part of the stay was the incredibly welcoming and professional staff. On our first night, we returned after dinner to find champagne and dessert waiting for us in our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture. We stayed in a junior suite which was very comfortable and well equipped, including a kitchen! This hotel could not have been better.

Very convenient location, walking distance to most of what I wanted to see. Small but stylish rooms that are well maintained. Beautifuk restaurant downstairs too.

My bedroom was on 4th floor (room 43). It was a little hard to sleep as there was often a mechanical sound coming from upstairs. Not sure what it was, but sounded like a heavy chair scraping against the floor, followed by a thud. It happened every hour throughout the night.

Lovely, large and very clean rooms. What a wonderful surprise to come back to our room in the evening to find cake and champagne for us set up on the table as a welcome treat and again a last night gift found on our bed. These were lovely touches, and you don't receive at most hotels. The free iced tea in the lobby was delicious. We ate dinner in your restaurant. It was fabulous. Loved the Portuguese menu options and pleasant environment. Nicely accommodated our luggage in storage until we needed to head to the airport on our last night. Great service to take up our luggage when our room was ready and escorted us to our room. Free water, coffee and tea in the room. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location to walk the city from our hotel.
